The reason that there were so many flowers at PoFV is because Komachi wasn't doing her job as guidance for the souls to the underworld. I like to imagine Yuuka initially cultivated her frightening persona because she thought it was fun, but eventually realized she had trapped herself with it. While she still enjoys scaring fairies and the like, she’s unintentionally isolated herself from any real connection with others. This song makes me think of her coming to that realization.

Theire still alive, plus Yuka doesn't consider Reimu as enemy she hangs out regularly over at the shrine and often joins in the parties.

Wow, this would allign perfectly well with her being a former fairy, I think Yuka is also the one that helped with raising the young miko of Hakurei.
