i like it a lot when freya says she’ll try to look after ruby from now on. i hate it when people make freya out to be this heartless person. yes she did a lot of bad things but in the recent chapters she looks absolutely horrified when cesear pushed ruby into a mirror. hee character is much more complex then just the usual white lotus complex original female lead trope.
@@Cariimel exactly! and it’s not like she WANTS to be this opportunistic person, it’s pushed on by her mother aswell (as far as i know) keep on making these great videos! you capture the characters beautifully and that’s not something everyone can do.
I would like to say that in the novel Freya DID VICTIM BLAME RUBY and called her slurs and refused to apologize in the same conversation when Ruby confronted her after all the stuff happened. Like, while Freya was a small antagonist in the first part of the novel she was still ANTAGONIST and while she had a sad past; that may explain her actions but doesn’t excuse them. I’m glad she got the end she deserved (which btw was changed from the original ending for her, it’s changed that she imprisoned in jail or monastery iirc) Not all villains and antagonists deserve redemption, Freya didn’t get redemption and she continued to blame Ruby even after.
9:14 I love the juxtaposition between her outward expressions and her internal thoughts. She pretends to survive. The choice of tiktok, right after, displays this mannerism further, and amplifies this detail. Truly brilliant choice on your part 💓

I'm just putting this out there because I've seen multiple takes and want someone else's opinion, but I'm pretty sure that Izek and Ruby are already married by proxy. They didn't have a ceremony in the beginning, but the contract was officiated with the presence of someone representing Izek. I have watched reaction videos that suggest they're not married yet with "your soon-to-be brother-in-law," or "fiance," etc. I'm not just misreading, right? XD
I got kind of mixed with the timeline because after they consummated the marriage it was like, more official or whatever? But this is before that so I was confusing myself. I had Cezar say that as a slight dig as if the marriage was just temporary, but any other time was unintentional. Thank you! ❤
