1962? Now that was a great Lions team. That crazy INT the Plumb threw at GB turned out to cost them a tie for the division championship. Had they won in GB and beaten the Pack at home, with every other game remaining the same, the Lions and the Packers would have been 12-2, giving them a playoff. And with the division on the line, they would have gone into that last game with Chicago with more impetus and would have surely not lost 3-0! Win that, and you win the division outright. Oh, well. That's been the story for 60 years. So glad the narrative is changing now.

As a Seahawks fan watching this, I respect the fans that stay loyal even during the toughest seasons. NFL fans across the league are noticing a shift in the lions now - well coached with some real studs. It’s not an automatic W on the schedule anymore.

Its honestly not an automatic W for any team on any given day period anymore, the leauge across the board is balanced and the NFL overall has stricter and stricter standards for players which is resulting in more toss ups from game to game. It makes for a better product to watch and it's exactly how they want the league to be.
Everyone, including myself, loved to laugh at Detroit because they were easy to laugh at.
But even now you can’t help but root for them, because as fun as it was to laugh at them, it’s even more fun to root for them.
