I'm currently considering a lower spec (i7-13700H/16GB/4050) refurbished one of these for just over a grand, and seeing a UK review of it is definitely helping to tempt me. The dual screen setup is very neat indeed and I'm sure I'll have uses for it!
I'm seriously about to hit the Purchase button.. but considering something else, like RoG Flow X13 with the same specs, or maybe just go with something else... I love Asus, but my main gripe is the temp that their laptops get to is borderline worrysome.. i had the Flow Z13 2023 a few months ago, and it eould get a little warm for something gsared to be more tablet.. anyway, if you have a preference or have to make the choice, which would you go with?
Thanks for the review. The review of the fan is concerning -- don't want to really pay this much for just stuff I do in 'whisper mode'. Also that bottom screen looked great on another model, but looks really washed out with the non-reflective aspect. Not sure I want to do this or just go for the ProArt Studiobook or a new B7 style Expertbook. Didn't mind the ROG Duo screen, but then see they put the DC input port at the front-left, while they've got ports behind (where it should be). The search continues.

I was looking to purchase one directly from ASUS, but they were out of stock. I reached out to customer service via chat. They told me the device was end of life. Granted, the rep did not tell me if the DUO line was or the model. That being said, I went ahead and ordered one from Amazon. Should be at my doorstep in a few days.

@@GadgetsBoy I am using Zenbook Duo 482, only issue is the 16GB Ram limit otherwise it's great for FHD editing. So excited for the massive upgrade, keyboard and mouse pad are a non issue, since you can just give space for the keyboard and just use a mouse. Regarding noise, I always play music while working so it doesn't bother me at all.
Hey man I was planning on buying the Zenbook, could I ask you for how long the battery lasts? Also if you’ve played on it do the CPU and GPU get hot? And lasts how loud do the fans get when playing? Sorry for asking a lot of questions but I want to know if I’m spending my money well :)

I currently have a 3080 desktop and I would like a portable alternative for work but also gaming (for when I start university I won’t be carrying out my big desktop every weekend) so I wanted something like this since it has that wow factor. However I don’t think it’s worth it to go for a 4080 unless I sell my desktop and use this as my main, so I think a 4060 would suffice to appease my gaming needs for the weekends as I would still use my desktop at home, and this would mainly be for productivity and work.
@@162sam mine is the UXB8402VV, I believe some of the variations are vendor specific models. I know Samsung does that very thing with its phone depending on which carrier sells the phone. EDIT: Also, mine is the 2TB model, 32g of ram; Core i9 13900H

Hi Tomi, Many thanks for this. I had read a few reviews which mentioned the fan noise and overheating but was not sure about the reviewers. You have highlighted the issue and I have now decided not to buy this Asus machine. A great pity as I have been an Asus fan for a long time but will now switch to Apple. this thing sucks, had it for a day and it felt cheap just cuss the software/optimization on this thing is terrible. Feels laggy and unresponsive. Probably because of the intel integrated graphics which you cant swap because of the secondary display. i want my expensive laptop to feel premium and if it has trouble running windows and struggles with moving around tabs yeah this is not it. cherry on top is that the mouse pad feels like crap and i keep hitting the arrow keys. i would steer clear of this its not worth it.
What do you mean with the secondary display and integrated? Cant you choose which gpu to use? Can you explain I’m interested by the product to replace a mac option

How much is your battery life? I bought the same device from Curry, but I only have a battery life of about 3 or four hours
use a higher F stop on your camera for close up shots of the product , most of the product is blurry or focused on your hand on some shots

I just got the same one with the 4060! It's been good so far. I wish the 4060 Laptop was close to as powerful as my 3090 Desktop though lol
