In my opinion you should have said something about color uniformity, black uniformity, backlight bleeding issue, and the stand which makes it difficult to hold the monitor perfectly horizontal (the latter is also noticeable in your video)
Any ideas of when it will be available in Europe? A few stores already had it in their catalogue before Xmas, but no stock for now 😢 and it’s not yet listed in Amazon, at least not in Spain..
It's funny I would totally buy one of these if you could find the damn thing in stores. I'm in Canada and I can't find it anywhere. I have the 27" Asus ProArt 2K and it's nice but a 5K display would be ideal.
It seem that we have to wait, but it's definitely looks like good alternative for mac studio display, but we need to wait for the price from retailers once it appears on shelves.
Just got mine and connected over HDMI to MacMini M4. The screen is great, but it constantly goes on 🟢and off 🔴by itself for 3-5 seconds at random moments, no matter what resolution or refresh rate is set. The cable is not broken - touching/moving it does not trigger the problem at all and works well with other screens. Does anyone experience the same? Any ideas? Broken? Haven't tested USB-C yet, but I need to use HDMI to save USB ports, so switching to USB is not the solution in the long run.
Haven't noticed the HDMI cable provided in the box with the monitor. Switched to that one and the screen seems to behave all OK. Looks like HDMI cable specs expire too quickly...
is this video sponsored by ASUS? I recently bought one and I really suffer from backlight bleeding issue.and low build quality and old design.. Every day I regret my purchase. I don't think ASUS should build monitors at all!
No, i just had the chance to test out this unit, i dont have it any more but really enjoyed the experience 🙌 if you have a bad unit send it back and request a new unit of if you find your self needing something different on amazon its easy to get your money back or change for any other brand of display 🙏
It is not made for Mac, really. 4K is not suited for 32". 6K is. Thats simply how it is. Its not about if you like it or not. Secondly, BenQ does not have Mac controls integrated - it requires you to install an app to work, a Display Pilot 2. And guess what - there are a lot of apps available for that - Lunar, Monitor Control, BetterDisplay, etc. There is a question about color precision, but so far a proper Retina resolution is more important, after all, you can calibrate any monitor if colors do matter to you
According to several other honest reviews; this monitor is typical Asus-crap, low quality screen, backlight bleeding, low uniformity etc. Not forgetting wobbly stand. Stay away and spend your money on better products.
You claim this is a perfect display for Mac. Can you adjust the brightness from the keyboard? With the lack of speakers, keyboard controls or built in webcam, an excess of plastic, flimsy positioning, uncomfortable access to the ports, a design philosophy from 2005, and lack of cable management, perhaps this display is a budget design with a nicer panel geared towards windows users who could care less about the things listed above.
Couldn’t say it any better. I'd take my Apple Studio Display over that Asus monitor all day! Much better build materials, superior speakers and microphone, much better integration with macOS, super bright, etc. Webcam sucks, but at least it has one that can come in clutch in a pinch and for basic work video calls it does come in handy. This Asus monitor is cheaper of course, but you’d be cheaping out on tons of conveniences that makes you more productive.
Cringe. Unnecessary cringe. Mac onboard speakers are usually pretty good but tons of people bypass them for better external speakers and anybody using a MacBook or Mac Mini isn’t going to be using onboard speakers either. Or maybe you value being able to connect multiple systems at once, like a desktop and a laptop. Apple’s $2k display doesn’t even let you do that without unplugging. It doesn’t matter how pretty it is if it fails on value and fails on functionality.
All those things you mentioned are nice to have but have nothing to do with the quality of image itself, which is what really matters on a monitor. For those who literally want to pay the price, two times the price, for the extras, OK, go for the Apple Display then
if they made it with a glossy screen and uniform bezels, it would have been perfect.
In my opinion you should have said something about color uniformity, black uniformity, backlight bleeding issue, and the stand which makes it difficult to hold the monitor perfectly horizontal (the latter is also noticeable in your video)
That slant in the monitor is so obvious. Won’t be able to live with it.
Thanks for this video. I do have a question: Which resolution are you using under MacOS and Windows? Really 5k?
Any ideas of when it will be available in Europe? A few stores already had it in their catalogue before Xmas, but no stock for now 😢 and it’s not yet listed in Amazon, at least not in Spain..
is this good for windows PC?
Can KVM be controlled by software like on the Dell with thier Dell Display Mananger?

I just got 2 from B&H from new york i ordered them over to Canada but had to do it via 2 different accounts, took like 4 days
how well does the ambient light sensor work?

@@RobertoJorgeTechyes I returned it. I hope they refund my money.
Keep up the great work buddy!
This is concerning - makes me not want to wait - not available yet where I am and i am still reluctant to buy an ASUS because of their quality control
Is the frame strong enough to keep the monitor edges straight? I saw Asus laptops in BestBuy and almost all had bent screens. or camera bumps.
Big Like
Better BENQ MA320U.
Nope. Its not 5K.
Whatever is not 5K sucks if it is 27". It suck especially hard if 32"
@ it is made for macbook, so it is PERFECT, with all the Mac controls integrated.
Asus sucks. 32 4k is more better!

@ Benq IS made for Mac.
That's the point! It has an app, other don't have the same app design.
It is a 32 MADE FOR MAC, 4K, and it is perfect.
@@marcpiac No, it's not, only 6K can be perfect if we are talking about 32 inches.
Asus Pixel Guarantee is horrible. 5 bad pixel is for Asus ok…
Good to know. Thx
Asus, Benq from Taiwan. come to visit and buy it bring it home!
There’s an app for that
That pile of plastic is beyond ugly, plus, you can get refurb Apple Studio display for $200 more.
It really isn't.

too much plastic
