@@feelgoodhorizon4084 Hm I mean you need a spell haste totem, as there's no other class that can bring the buff. I would always advocate for either the ele or resto to put that down, but I guess if you're the only shaman in raid it probably makes sense for enhance to do it. In this case might as well skip the two points in WF totem, but make sure to bring a frost dk to pick up the meele haste buff for your group.
@@feelgoodhorizon4084 if your frost dk has improved talons. No need for 2 in wf, but if you don't then take it. I run without it. In heroics we might not have a dk, so I'll just use the 16%. But I'd rather spend the talent points elsewhere.
@@feelgoodhorizon4084 you're sacrificing 4%int for 4% haste on the talent tree. If you have a frost dk in raid all the time then you can go without improved wf totem but if you don't then it's really important to have. I personally don't really care enough about 4% int and sometimes in 10 man there is no frost dk so I use it
Hey man great video, quick question, how do you approach boss mechanics when there’s a lot of running around/kiting, do you still try to maintain/ put down magma totem and fire nova where you can, or do you leave it out? Appreciate it 🙏🏼
Yep so there's a couple of reasons, but in the end it's a fairly small difference and comes down partly to personal preference. First off you want a good amount of crit for a maximum flurry up time. I'm currently at 45%crit with raid buffs and have a flurry up time of just under 90% for example. Also since we get a big crit multiplier with the Elemental Fury talent, a lot of our high damage abilities in P1 (FN, FTWeap etc) just benefit more from crit than haste. Final reason is with fights being so short in P1, we are already haste capped when it comes to GCD a lot of the time thanks to Lust, Engi gloves and speed potions. I hope that makes some sense. Sorry for the wall of text 😅
When do I use totems? I find if I use them for every pack in a dungeon I'm oom after two pulls. Even with sham rage. Should I be popping totems only for boss fights? Should I be using pots more?
Yep the default weapons next phase are both physical. Flame tongue will still be the preferred weapon enchant although windfury should catch up quite a bit in damage (:
Yes and rank 10 on offhand, that is cause we just benefit from offhand with Lavalash. If you hit your caps for Spellhit and Expertise, just gem for pure AP.
Yea no difference in play style or stat prio between enhance or spellhance. Spellhance is kinda like a made up "marketing" phrase for us to justify rolling on caster gear (:
The big difference is using a spellpower mainhand or not. For phase 1 spellpower mainhand is absolutely the best way to go for all situations. It's not even close. Later phases we will likely be forced to weapon swap between phys mainhands for single target and spellpower mainhands for snapshotting ele and aoeing, since there are no spellpower mainhands past naxx that have suitable weapon speeds to use always.
How do you get the we prefer crit over haste? Every sim I have ever run and stat weights I’ve ever looked at value haste the highest of all stats outside raw AP if it’s a 2 to 1 conversion. Meaning haste beats everything unless you get 2 AP per one haste. I’ve never seen a sim, guide, or my own testing show crit to be higher value than haste. My shamans name is Nightstorm I play on Mankrik. I’m not in a hardcore guide just play with a bunch of quality players I enjoy playing with. You can see my gear and if you change my gems from haste/AP to crit my dps goes down a fair bit both in the sim and testing in the game. My flurry uptime due to synced weapons is already 93% or higher. Crit is not preferable over haste imo. Especially as content gets harder and fights get longer. But to each their own I guess.
It's a bit confusing in the sim, but to you need to actually add meele and spell crit together to get the correct EP for crit. We might reach a softcap with crit in P1, but tbh with the current fight lengths I can't get haste to sim higher than crit with my setup.
in p4, do weapon imbues change?
If I forgot about or went over anything to quick please let me know in the comments and I might make an updated version for Phase2.

how you can use "Wraith Strike" and "Kel'thuzad's reach" they are both main hand weapons ?
Quick and simple, love it.
what is the addon the displays storm strike and flameshock debuff above the mob?

Phase 3 Update :D?
Can you elaborate on why we prefer crit over haste as you say at 0:34 ? I always thought haste is more important to maximize maelstrom procs.

you use fire in both weapons?

So we use flametongue9 on MH? // also for single target what’s better for gemming haste or atk power

A video on how to minmax on every boss would be awesome, btw how do you manage ur fire totem on grobbulus and Heigan?
Can you make a video about ur WA's and Addons? Pretty please :P
A more General question…is it a decision to make spellhance OR enhance, or is Playing enhance in P1 automatically Leading to spellhance?

can u copy your macros ?
Forgot about Glyph of Feral Spirit?
You use flame tongue, fire nova, and storm strike. That's all 3
@@implodingfruitz8093 Yep that's it. With Storm strike being the weakest one of the three, so that'd be what you replace for Fire Elemental.
