Some research I’ve done on the two shows: Family Fortunes began in 1980, four years after the show it was inspired by, the USA’s Family Feud. Family Feud airs 5 days a week, year-round on daytime television. Family Fortunes was a prime time show that only aired once a week, and only in a series of 20 or so shows. As a result, Family Feud has aired over 7,000 episodes while the entire Monkhouse/Bygraves/Dennis Family Fortunes produced fewer than 500. Despite this, Family Fortunes was airing new episodes while Family Feud was off the air in the USA from 1995 to 1999. This episode aired in 2000.
you’re wrong. it’s not year-round, it’s actually a season(series) so only a certain number are actually new as 1/3rd to 1/4th are repeats. Family Feud has prime time shows and still has a large number of episodes, it’s simply that it has been production for 40 of the past 46 years.
Excellent first part of Family Misfortunes from 2000 TVajb, I remember watching this first time round. I noticed that the 1993-1999 theme music has been used in this com
I've seen websites claim that there was a contestant who answered "Arabs" when asked "Name a dangerous race" but I can't find any proof that it existed, and one source said it was cut from the original airing.
Not sure what this is about. The exact same episode has two different versions: in this video, the first misfortune with Kenny is about a "Famous Arthur". But in another video of this exact same episode, it's a different blooper completely. What gives?
'Name one place where you wouldn't find a nun'
'A brothel'
Love that answer coz it's true
'A pub'
A football match
i remeber the brothel ep
Kayleigh Natasha a mental hospital
You obviously don’t attend the same brothels that I do.
The "I Spy" answer always gets me
Well he’s not wrong
At least it's not like the US version when someone gives a stupid answer, and the rest of the family is all going "Good answer!"
Or when someone says "penis" and the whole audience cheers and applauds like it's the greatest thing they've ever seen
+Footballfan Though, Steve Harvey's reaction make up for all of it.
Different cultures. We're more realistic and less proud of ourselves.
Ok SHUT UP.
That's only Steve Harveys' contestants.
"A cup of tea" and "a funeral" were my first thoughts after those questions too... and I'm not even under pressure...
2:56 Les: name something people close
Debbie: *L E G S*
Imagine Steve Harveys reaction to the cup of tea answer or the eye spy answer. In fact any of the answers.
I would like to see the deck chairs one
4:28: Les Dennis sounded like an American.

HA, the nun brothel one!! I totally remember that from ONE of the funniest game show moments specials I've seen:):)
These clips makes you laugh so much it will hurt your cheeks.
Still love the I Spy answer many years later hah
4:32
Bannette: Scuba Diving.
Me: Seriously?! That's just crazy!

Lmao, loved this show
The answers became more sillier during Les Dennis' era of Family Fortunes
A love a fun cup of tea
I think he thought that Les said "name a famous author", not "name a famous Arthur" which was the question.
2:48
Les - Name a weapon used in the board game Cluedo
Me - My wife
Good Answer
Did he say that Brookside was a documentary? Hahaha
Arthur Shakespeare
He thinks "Author" not authur
the i spy answer was actually no. 1 answer.
GD Laziness what was so funny about I Spy, I would’ve said the same thing
Deck chair & a coffin in the sea... an interesting sea.
How did they entertain themselves before television?
3:13 - that guys ear 👂 🙄
@TVajb thanks for uploading Family Misfortunes, I remember there was always one person that has to come out with an hilarious answer
I always thought it was a antiques show
I've seen websites claim that there was a contestant who answered "Arabs" when asked "Name a dangerous race" but I can't find any proof that it existed, and one source said it was cut from the original airing.
Great video
03:33 did that bloke get dressed in a powercut
I think the cup of tea guy confused the question as something people do to enjoy themselves before they watch TV, rather than before it was invented.
Charades in the dark, also known as hard mode.
I also went *willy willy willy WINDOW*
Did Bob say "Al Quiche" at 3:40? Who or what is that?!
"Have a cup of tea."

2:57 - Without hesitation... and she saw NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT.
CaptainCapital8 Didn’t Steve Harvey say that in one of the fast money rounds? XD

The American version is class 'a place where you would stick your finger?'
Contestant answers 'my wife'
Fucking dying I was 😂😂🤣🤣
Please tell me Steve Harvey was the host. His reaction would have been priceless.😂😂
Name a game you play in the dark.
Charades.
Umm... don't you have to see in that game.
Also,dice is a weapon?
Probably his accent
I would've called the show family unfortunate
Cluedo????
Brookside's a pretty famous documentary
Hilarious 😂
@ 3.04 - not your wife, Les, eh?
Cluedo doesn't even have dice...
You roll the dice to determine where you move.
He is not even an Author, he is an play writer
Arthur you fucking idiot
@@beetleb0nes Yes he knows that
its funny but the delivery is so cringe
And I thought it was only Americans who gave stupid answers. Imagine what Steve Harvey would do to these people.
I would love to see Steve Harvey do the UK version, because in the US version they force all the contestants to clap and say 'good answer'
Really? Mine is The Comedy of Errors!
