Extremely helpful. Changing carb fixed my issue and without your video I might have never tried it. My heat shield was damaged so I used one of the gaskets from the kit. Thanks for your great video!
Great video. Mine had a tear in the gasket near the vacuum port. I had to remove the new carb and change the gasket to eliminate air bubbles in the fuel line. Runs like new. Thanks for the video. Couldn't have done this without it.
Thank you for your help. Turns out my gasket from carb to engine was torn and peeing gas! New kit installed and it's like a new blower. Thanks for recommending HIPA.
Thanks for posting this. I ordered the kit you suggested, followed your instruction, and had my blower running again in less than an hour.
Glad it helped
2nd time I’ve had to replace this in 5 years, but better than buying a new $300+ blower. Thanks for the video!
use non ethanol fuel you can get this in any auto parts or hardware store amzn.to/3Dz6dxe
I've given up on mine. I've had it 4 years now. Got it fairly new. Worked fine and started dying after 15 minutes full throttle.
Bought a new Hipa kit last week, it starts idles high so I smooth it out. As I touch the throttle it dies. Giving the high screw small turns same result. If I dare mess with the low it never starts back. These blowers are very low rated and this is the main reason. Not to mention it hardly ever starts on hot.
did you check the intake. these are known for the intake under the carb loosening. makes it run lean.
Awesome vid, i basically bought the same kit and really appreciate your instruction
Thanks! This saved me some money for sure. Got my blower running again!
Glad I could help
Very nice video! I just wish I could find the carb to fix mine now since I have similar problems

Very helpful. It appears you did not replace the original gasket between the carb and engine. I think that gasket also serves as heat protection. I believe I tore that gasket replacing the ignition coil. A gas leak started when replacing the coil as I routed the cable with some force. What do you think about discarding that large carb and heat gasket and using smaller gaskets that come with replacement carb kit? Thanks
i usually try to reuse the old gasket because of the heat shield. but if there is any damage i go new
I replaced the hoses, gas filter. Gas bubble was bad. Bought a bubble took the ring off put the bubble on now it won't stay on the mount. There is no thread to twist. Tried to click it on won't stay. You left that out.
The bubble comes already assembled. You don't disassemble them the reassemble. Hence the reason it was left out.
Hey, I was wondering if you could help me with the Ryobi BP42 on off or Killswitch is not working. I replaced it with a brand new one and it still doesn’t work. Any ideas of where I should start looking for a problem? thank you in advance for any help, you could give me. Dan.
So the kill switch wire goes from the coil under the recoil to the switch from the switch to the engine block for a ground. So probably a broken wire.
Great video but what about the high and low carb adjustments. Where are they set at on a brand new carb? Did you adjust them?
I didnt have to adjust them. Usualy 1 full turn counterclockwise from snug tight is starting point
@@smallengineguys Good deal thank you. Replaced the carb and everything on mine and I just can't get it tuned correctly so that it runs right.
@@RobertLandrum13 what is it doing
@@smallengineguys it's all over the place. I'll get it cranked and get the idle to where it sounds fine and try to adjust the high and it'll bog down no matter where I adjust to. I'll adjust the low to try and help and it'll end up dying. It's just over and over again trying to adjust but I don't feel like I get anywhere.
What's a good starting to point, ground zero for the high low and throttle screw?
@@RobertLandrum13 i full turn out for both
I can’t get the new carb like this one to adjust and stay running. What else should I try?
check muffler make sure its not clogged also when muffler is off inspect piston lines are bad
Where is the link for this kit?

Awesome video!!!!
Thanks!!
I couldn't see how you attached throttle cable to the carburetor. Your arm was blocking the camera.
its just an s turn put tip in turn cable till it slides in further
@@smallengineguys thanks. Does it matter which hole it goes in?
yes i dont remember what one but it will not throttle till you hit the right hole. or it will idle high if you go to far.
@@smallengineguys thank you for your help
Thank you sooooo much. I did it.
Good job!
