1. "Daystrom", not "Dystrom" 2. No one "made" Kirk Captain Dunsel. Commodore Wesley referred to Kirk as Dunsel due to the fact that the M5 might possibly make his starship commander's job obsolete. Turned out not to be the case. 3. It's not that Kirk "wouldn't be able to run the starship", it's that Starfleet wanted him to stand down and let the M5 run the starship.
