If you're not an aviation enthusiast moments like this will never resonate but to those of us that grew up to the constant sound of jets in the air in places like Binbrook its sad to see those places now fall silent and forgotten. To watch a Lightning take off and do a vertical climb on full reheat is a sight and sound to behold. Fantastic plane, fantastic station and at least it still exists albeit in a slightly different state.
at a time when the british had a somewhat half decent air force.not the utter garbage we have now.not one decent battle of britain air show.but still have the cheek to stick their noses in other countries buisneses
Don`t bother with them now I was down to one air show a year (Duxford) up to Covid. Not done one since 2019 now. Just do the the The Yorkshire Wartime Experience, near Bradford. And local classic car shows, now
