Watching these movies as a child, things have changed significantly now that I stand before the people preaching the Word. The song is beautiful and its message is something I don't think I can stop preaching about given the perilous times we're living in.

One random afternoon I started realizing that my life was unraveling fast. I drove around looking for a church, any church whose doors might be open. I wanted to speak to a pastor. I walked into an auditorium and two men were up front praying. One of them looked up at me and said "We have been waiting for you!" I explained to them that they had the wrong guy, I had only just decided to walk in. They asked me if I had been washing a red car in someones front yard the day before. I said yes. Then one of them explained how the Lord had pointed me out, but instead of walking up to me, they felt they should go back to their church and start praying that I might come to them. That is the day I trusted in Christ. This happened some 40 years ago. I knew nothing about their teachings, but it turned out to be an AG church. Can legalism be taught in some of them? No doubt, and that's a very bad thing. But because of my experience, I learned that salvation comes by God's grace alone through faith, not by my own good works or I could boast about it. Salvation is a gift from God, that we can't earn. He bought it for all of us with his faultless shed blood. He rose again so that we too will rise. All we have to do is believe he is who he said he was, and change our mind about living for ourselves, and ask him to help us to start living for him. Its a lifetime process of ups and downs, but he is faithful. I am just an old man, but I do hope you already know this. Jesus is FULL of love for you.

The army made us watch this on repeat back in 1988 and I was very receptive. I was studying Revelation because of grocery prices, and the gas scarcity when I remembered this song and I am so happy you took the time to mark the verses. That was SO nice of you to help people study the Bible. Line one starts with war and a stampede. There is war in Ukraine. Last year 9 people were trampled to death at a Houston concert, and that is the part that chilled me the most.
