  • FUNERAL: Billy Soul Bonds Said This Before He Died| Try Not To Cry
On September 26, 2023, Billy ‘Soul’ Bonds, a soulful self-made vocalist “Mister Sock-It, Sock-It”, who was born and raised in Brisco, Arkansas, passed away.
Continue reading to find out more about the singer Billy Bonds, including how he passed away, what happened to him, and the reason for it.
Vocalist Billy “Soul” Bonds grew up in Brisco, Arkansas. He made his debut in the middle of the 1980s on M&T, and for the majority of the following two decades, he continued to release music on several independent labels while performing on the tough southern club and show lounge circuit.
He earned a reputation as a soulful vocalist (hence his stage name) with an impish, frequently risqué sense of humor. But he didn’t become well-known until he joined Malaco/Waldoxy and released Scat Cat, Here Kitty, Kitty on the Here Kitty, Kitty CD in 2006.
That song, which featured playful sexual innuendo over an ironically romantic ballad background, was the biggest soul blues hit of the year and, in the process, gave rise to a plethora of songs about men’s “dogs” gratifying, lusting after, dominating, or otherwise impressing women’s “cats.” Bonds, however, is not a one-trick pony; his funk-toughened love songs (It Took Someone Like You, Wedding Song, and She’s the Woman I Love [This is It]) are danceable and sultry in the great slow jam tradition, and during live performances, he consistently demonstrates his versatility as an entertainer in control of a wide range of emotions.
Billy “Soul” Bond, a blues artist, has reportedly died from prostate cancer, according to a reliable source. Over the course of his multi-decade career, Bonds recorded for numerous independent labels and established himself as a gifted and entertaining performer. Bonds persevered and kept entertaining audiences despite the difficulties of the chitlin circuit with his cheeky and frequently risqué humor. Both the music industry and his fans will miss him dearly. Information about services will follow up as soon as available.
    Rest in power king
