I play regular because for some reason, it just... feels right. It's weird. Sometimes, if I do something with my right hand, internally, inside my entire body and my head, I feel hollow on my left side, until I do it with my left hand. When I play Skate 3 and my character gets into the goofy stance, I get that same feeling, and it only goes away once I go back to regular 😅 Plus, it feels really strange pushing with Square / X on Xbox. Playstation X / A just feels a lot more natural, like in older racing games, before we used the triggers! 😄
Technically I skate as goofy IRL, but there's another technique called switchfoot, which I naturally ride. The way you find your regular/goofy preference is to keep your dominant foot at the back of the board and paddle with your non-dominant, which rests at the front. If your toes point right, you're regular. Toes pointing left is goofy. Switchfoot is where you plant with your dominant foot at the front of your board and paddle with your non-dominant left, resting at the back. I personally choose switchfoot because it gives me better control when I ride a longboard with loose trucks going over 40Km/H, and my strong leg at the front helps with the speed wobbles.
@@lordkiza8838 Isn't Mongo where you plant at the back of the board and paddle with your front? I ride switch because I plant my dominant at the front. Still paddling from the back.
@@Ynsin69 was joking but mongo is lets say you use your standing foot to navigate directions at the tail end of the board and you use the other foot to push typically you wouldn't place another foot back on to the board unless you are about to set up. Hope this helps
@@lordkiza8838 Same as I remember. I'm a self taught skater and haven't used a trickboard in over a decade, since I got into longboard racing hahah. I don't know many trickboard terms. Are you a skater too?
I planned on confusing the series. With concepts such as how to do tricks, footplant, speed glitch and so on. Then I kinda just stopped playing skate 3
I used to skate irl, always been regular. So of course I've always Skated reg in skate 3, skating Goofy in Skate 3 doesn't make much difference to me really.. accept i push mong when im in goofy 😄😄 🎣
Idk VIDEO IDEA Skate in true switch. If you dont know how to Do true switch do a 180 And once you land use your nollie position from there on out. As a skater its how switch really looks not the stance they give you. Please try it.

Yeah I know how you feel! I think it’s probably because we are just so used to one way, that the other way feels completely wrong

Hey I have a video that I made a while back ago. Same concept except it explains the differences between the stances and how they effect the game
I planned on confusing the series. With concepts such as how to do tricks, footplant, speed glitch and so on. Then I kinda just stopped playing skate 3
