    I truly admire Tim for his huge knowledge about almost anything in fauna. And I learn so many interesting things from his segments on Bondi Vet.
    But I learn even more from his channel "Untamed".
    Highly recommend it.

    You are such a lucky man to live and work in Australia and do the job you do, and I like the way you cover the whole country in your work, it must be so difficult and stressful for your family and yourself when you are called away but all kudos to you and your family, are you busier than you were before Steve Irwin died as you seem to be dealing with a lot of the crocodiles and alligators that I know he used to deal with. Do you ever move any of them to the zoo he used to live and work in (and believe owned) as you must have to relocate them occasionally, or do you have to find somewhere completely different for them. I don't suppose very many end up at your reptile park as I can't imagine you have enough space to take in many of them.

    It's so interesting that in a lot of species, multiple males will breed with one female, but with these frogs, it's the other way around!

    The kangaroo that popped his head near the beginning of the story looked like Jack from the movie “Kangaroo Jack”. Funny movie to watch if you haven’t seen it 😂
    The ants in the frog nests don’t affect them?

      I used to have Colombian red tailed boas. I have been bit a few times while feeding. The bites heal over very quickly with no real scarring. You have to be careful not to pull away because you can pull out their teeth because they are backward facing.

    Another really fascinating video Tim, although not to be pedantic, and I'm sure it was a genuine error, because you know your stuff, but anticoagulant thins the blood not thickens it. 👍👍👍👌👌👌😁😁😁

    I've always thought that catching poisonous snakes had to be one of the most foolish things an individual could do. It's poisonous so it'll be left alone right?? 🤔

    • @elsac5247
      @elsac5247 3 роки тому

      I think they’re poisonous so they can hunt prey. Otherwise they would have evolved differently. 😊😊😊

    • @heathergarnham9555
      @heathergarnham9555 3 роки тому

      Venomous.
      It it bites YOU and you die it's venomous, if you bite IT and you die then it's poisonous

  • @PatrickPoet
    @PatrickPoet 3 роки тому

    Instead of the snake having a very strong anti-coagulant which would keep blood runny, I'm guessing he meant strong coagulant since he said it turns blood thick as jelly.

  • @elsac5247
    @elsac5247 3 роки тому +5

    For the people commenting on “anticoagulant”, it must be so difficult for you. Everyone misspeaks sometimes...does correcting someone else make you feel good? Tim does an amazing job and shares his experience with those of us who are interested in watching, however he is not a professor being paid to teach. If you just remove the “anti”, all is good again. Let’s all just be a bit kinder.

    • @kimberleyhall616
      @kimberleyhall616 3 роки тому +1

      But he must be careful not to spread wrong scientific information. He's absolutely right in saying hemotoxic venom has anticoagulant properties. But anticoagulants will not bind the the blood, rather the bite victim will bleed out.

    • @elsac5247
      @elsac5247 3 роки тому +1

      @@kimberleyhall616 feel better now? I pray you never make a mistake or misspeak.
      BTW- if people are seriously using UA-cam videos as a source of undeniable information, without any research or verification, they get what they get.
      Maybe rethink your need to be right, instead of being kind.

    I'm afraid he's going to get bit.from a poisoned one

  • @kimberleyhall616
    @kimberleyhall616 3 роки тому

    Sorry Tim, hemotoxin will thin the blood to the point of bleeding out. An anti coagulant property doesn't turn blood thick, it will become thin like water consistency.
