4:07 mage in league just means they scale more off AP (ability power) than AD (attack damage) they can be scientists or whatever, but mage is a whole class type of champions, they typically go mid lane but not always, some are jungle, some can be support. Quick rundown of the game: You got Top lane champs, usually filled with bruisers who can take a hit and dish some damage too, it is mostly a solo lane where you will be 1v1 most of the time with having to watch out for the jungler. Top is pretty interesting in that while bruisers are most likely, in truth if you are good enough with a champion, anyone is viable up there. It is a straight 1v1 most of the time and if you can outplay your enemy and avoid being surprised by the jungle you will win your lane in all likelihood. That does not mean it is easier though. Junglers are the people who often can sway the tide of the game, they roam in the jungle, thus the name, killing neutral enemies for gold and pulling ganks (surprise attacks) on people who are not paying attention or helping a lane who might be strugling to catch up some. Usually a good choice for team leader as they need the most map awareness and can make good calls with that intel. Mid lane is much like top lane in that they are 1v1, however they have to worry about ambushes from both sides. This leads them to often be mages as they have more range typically and they can then stay back and be safer. If mid lane gets ahead they often roam and assist like a jungle too as they are center stage and closest to assist next to possibly the jungle. As such they are also a good choice for leader, they tend to make good use of map awareness as well. Bot lane and Support, this is the coop lane pretty much. Bot lane is your Attack Damage Carry, or ADC, they like to think of themselves as the quarterback of the game... and honestly a good one could be considered that. They do a lot of damage, usually all damage in fact, heavy hitters who are all focused on attack damage (typically) the trade off is they tend to not be able to take a hit, so they often need help to get rolling. That is where Support comes in, the most versatile role, supports can be tanks, crowd controllers, healers, buffers, debuffers, anything that can help the ADC get kills, and that is their job at least until team fighting starts then they support everyone. The downside to this lane is that both ADC and Support share the same gold source, there are items to help this, but for the most part ADC gets all the gold they can to build faster, and Support just suffers... I mean supports. Good synergy is a must down here. Aside from that there are a few variations, but this is the main meta because it is the optimal and most common seen strategy. I have seen supports mid lane, I have seen double (one counters) jungle, support top, etc. but it is rare that people deviate from the meta honestly, so that is likely what you'd see. Now non meta picks on champions, that is more likely and personally I like creativity, so I am all for odd choices, but it can sometimes end in disaster.
I LOVE see people who don't play league reacting to the champions, the game can be very... stressfully, but the lore, the characters, the universe is so good
You also got Janna over there she is part of the lore of Arcane as you can see a lot of pictures of her and people praying to her that she was the godess of wind and fresh air that helped people when in the Zaun there were toxic gases everywhere
7:16 It's not confirmed who the mage was, but it's very unlikely for it to have been Ryze. Ryze already had blueish skin during the Rune Wars, which is the thing that traumatized Heimerdinger about magic. He's also never been seen with a staff.
7:50 The mage who saved Jayce could be Ryze but is more likely either a random mage or an Easter Egg for the "Summoner". The League of Legends game lore is/was(it might have changed) that we the players are called Summoners. We Summoners call upon Champions to do battle in an arena. The summoned Champions are Heroes, Legends, Deities, etc... from Runeterra. It is only an aspect or copy of the Champion that is summoned to be Avatar of us Summoners. In Arcane it is probably an unnamed mage to make sense. Ryze is a bit too powerful to be in that location + his blue skin. He is off doing things involving incredibly powerful magic. It could be a Summoner, so a player of the game from our world, but that would be bad for the lore of the world to have us running around in it. Still a fun Easter Egg to think about and a nod to the game and all the players.
They retconned that old Summoner lore a long time ago at this point, and tbh I'm glad they did, because it opened up a lot more freedom for them to create stories like Arcane. They don't need to make the game something you actually play in their fictional setting for the characters and the relationships between them to be compelling.
Ryze is a runemage and 1 of the most powerful mages on Runterra from the lore and alot of ppl thought that it was him that saved Jayce but unless Riot planned on changing hes lore it couldent have been him. For one the silhouette we get of the mage looks to mutch human to be Ryze and he dosent have hes traditional scroll on him and in the show the mage is using a crystal to teleport them that he then gives to Jayce, Ryze is so powerful that he wouldent need to use an external amplifier like that crystal to teleport ppl around. Its mutch more likly that its an unknown mage that just happened to be passing by. 9:52 If u refer to the streamer Tyler1 then no, Hes mostly known for playing Draven.
TBF that would be Ryze from what, 25 years ago? Maybe even more since the Jayce in LoL look like he's in his 40s. I don't see why it couldn't be Ryze, maybe he wasn't as powerful back then
@@Kratos263 I suppose everything is possable as we dont se hes face but it would be extremely unlikly for multiple resons. Ryze is around 250-300 years old so even if we go back a few decades hes not gonna be any weaker as a mage and even if we assume it is Ryze when he was mutch weaker then where is hes master that traveled with him and also trained him. They traveled together to find and hide the powerful world runes from ppl wanting to use them. Ryze only ended up alone becouse hes master got corrupted by 1 and he hade to kill him so power he is definatly not lacking. I would love for it to be Ryze as hes lore storys are great but that mage having to use that external power source to teleport them is a dead giveaway that that is not Ryze. Teleportation magic is about as basic as it gets for someone as powerful as he is.
The thing with Heimerdinger is his Rune Wars trauma relating to his Yordle magic is somewhat different between "League" and "Arcane". In "Arcane",he`s portrayed as more overtly anti-magic whilst in "League" he prefers to hide his magic from his fellow Pilties and other humans with glamor and encourages other Yordles like Ziggs to do the same.Aside from that, the "M`boys" and geekspeak are fairly consistent across both.
I've been playing League of Legends for 12 years. I always wonder how Arcane affects people who don't play LoL. For us gamers, Arcane is somehow twice as epic. It was fun to see how you recognize the characters in the game. Kind of like how I reacted when I saw the Champions in Arcane. Thank you for sharing your reaction with us.
That's so cool to read! I love that people appreciate the reaction of someone who has never played LoL, and I absolutely loved the show (haven't watched S2 yet), not knowing who is a champion really made it interesting and didn't give anything away. Thank you for watching!
you missed warwick, singed, leblanc, orianna ( we can see her on the end of arcane 2 whit singed ), but its okay because u dont know the game and the idea of the video is amazing!!❤
The „mage” designation on Heimer is just a role. He casts abilities to deal damage, so he is a mage. But his abilities are a death lazer and a turret, so he is still an inventor.
League Champions in Arcane so far from ss1 to ss2 including cameo and mention. Appear in Arcane and essential to the plot 1. Jinx 2. Vi 3. Ekko 4. Warwick 5. Jayce 6. Viktor 7. Heimerdinger 8. Singed 9. Ambessa 10. Caitlyn Mention/Cameos 1. Orianna (confirm to be Singed's Daughter) 2. Janna (just a statue of her the real her cannot appear) 3. Leblanc (clones of her trying attack Ambessa and Mel) Champions that might appear in the future. 1. Urgot (it's highly possible that Ricter will be Arcane version of Urgot) 2. Swain (haven't been mentioned yet but I think next league show might set in Noxus) 3. Zigg (he might appears as Heimerdinger's next pupil and Ekko junior in Arcane) 4. Zac (arcane shenanigans might accidentally created Zac) 5. Doc Mundo 6. Ezreal 7. Camile (it's highly possible that Camile might be either a Kiraman or Caitlyn's dad Auntie in Arcane. I think it's the latter. Caitlyn's dad seems like he's coming from inventor family which is exactly what Ferros family is all about) 8. Twitch
I know this video is a month old but when u go back and look at the default vi and jinx splashart you can see the city in the background of vi is not damaged but jinx has the same city in her background this time damaged by her havoc
Yeah, I thought it was, but people have been telling me it's not confirmed. I made an update video talking about it! Thank you for the correction, still learning about the huge lore 😅
Ekko didn't have his rewind time skill yet in season 1. The cool little cutscene/music sequence between him and Jinx/Powder was an allusion to his time power that he'd be getting later, and it was just kind of showing that they played this game when they were kids, except it's just not a game anymore. I suppose you could say he remembered what to expect from her and how he'd get into melee range. He will probably have the time ability in season 2 since he was buddied up with Heimerdinger at the end of episode 9.
A champion getting a skin is not directly related to how old the champion is. There are several factors that determine whether a champion gets skin. One of these is, of course, how old the champion is. However, the champion also needs to fit into a specific theme since skins are no longer designed individually but as part of a series. Additionally, the champion’s popularity and how frequently they are played also play a role. The potential for the skin to sell is another important factor. When designing skins, they take all of these elements into account, including the price point, and only then do they decide to create a skin for a particular champion.
It's insane that you recognized Ryze without having played league at all, he is literally in the series for only a minute, but yeah he is the mage that teleports Jayce and his mother to safety
Picked up Ryze, thats observant as, they didnt even confirm in show (yet as far i know) but its def suggestive its ryze, even has one of the abilities from the show
So. The cool part of Arcane is, besides the overall lore foundation, the biggest thing taken from League was the team's specific experience making music videos to advertise the game. So a lot of the filming techniques they used, for say the Jinx and Ekko bridge fight, came from that unique background. For extra fun, I highly recommend first: looking up the character music themes (might be called "login screens"). Vi and Jinx offer vocaled ones, with Jinx's showing up in the show as an easter egg. Ekko's is a personal favorite. And the orange skin for Jinx, Odyssey, is a Guardians of the Galaxy universe they made. If you want to see a zany but not crazy very of Jinx, you should look at the video they made for that: Jinx is filming herself to introduce her crew to the audience. It's really well done.
A few you missed: Singed is the mad scientist that Viktor interacts with. Renata Glasc was made to be a stand-in for Silco. Some people theorize that Vander will turn into Warwick in season 2.
Well, I don't know if it's official or not, but Ryze may be the person from the beginning, because he travels through space-time to save Runeterra (the world where Arcane takes place), because he has already witnessed the war that would end Runeterra, caused by the global runes, since then he travels through time trying to get them all to guard and protect them, while "fighting" with himself not to lose control of the runes and of himself (the brand was consumed by one of the runes in case anyone is curious to know)
Speaking as a long time league and WoW player, it was fuckin' delightful to watch this, haha. Also LoL was built on the bones of Warcraft 3 so when you say Jayce resembles Uther?? Yeaaaah, that's spot on accurate. You can sort of see which champs were re-modeled murlocs or gnomes [yordles] and which were likely WoW characters.
Haha I'm glad someone sees that as well! I guess from the Warcraft 3 DOTA days some things kinda stayed the same. They all took inspiration from each other right?
You missed Twitch. He is the rat that was given the Shimmer serum and ate the cat in episode 1, and Singed is also a character you will recognize from the show.
@@PoisonVibe666 Twitch is a giant mutated rat from Zaun. I suppose their could be more than one giant mutated rat from Zaun in the show, but thats way more of a stretch than that simply being Twitch IMO.
@@palinozog658 That rat was just a test subject, we don't even know if it survived. It could be Twitch, but it also could not be. The fact that Twitch can actually speak makes me think it's not and there's more to Twitch than just being a rat that took shimmer.
After the show came out, Riot ret-conned a lot of lore and made Arcane canon. So I guess the arcane skin is now the "real" look for these characters. Also, Vander might still be a champion. Theories about who he is might be a bit of a stretch, but some of them are plausible enough to happen in season 2.
Ryze is most likely not the mage in jayce's flash back. Ryze's skin has been blue for several hundred years by the time of arcane, and he isnt really worried about helping random people. Dead set on his quest to collect/seal the world runes (primal magic conduits). Once the mage finishes casting and gives jayce the stone, it shoes him having a natural skin tone rather than Ryze's blue.
The champions that appear in Arcane are: Jayce, Jynx, Vi, Caitlyn, Synged, Ekko, Heimerdinger, Warwyck (Vander), Ambessa (New champ) & Viktor. The one in the game is the one in Arcane, they are just telling you the lore of the game. Some other cameos are Teemo, Janna, LeBlanc, Oriana and I think those are all

They also do in the Heartache Vi and Heartthrob Caitlyn skins
@@Lord_Numpty I mean, their relationship has been speculated on since Vi was introduced (I should know, I remember when she was launched). When you have them both on the same team, you get an icon that says, "Piltover's Finest," which used to be their portmanteau ship name in fanfic; before Arcane came out and people who hadn't played the game started calling their ship "Violyn" instead.
Seeing prestige version > ,,oh it is the same '' hit so hard :c
Fun Fact, all the Champions are older than Arcane :D They took the Lore of Pillover and maked a show about this. Yes this is Victor^^ You need to think, that everyone in the Show is younger than in the games. Its befor they all got summoned by the Summoner (us Players)
I think summoners are no longer part of the lore tho
You should watch the league cinematics, they're awesome
I will!! I watched "Still here" but that was it, excited to check them out!
@@MrGuybrush you might like "get jinxed", it's a decade old but tons of veteran players were talking about it around the same time arcane came out (because it's a cinematic entirely dedicated to powder/jinx)
The mage wasn`t confirmed but yes a lot of fans theorized it was either Ryze or a future Viktor between Arcane human Viktor and full on Machine Herald Viktor back in Season 1.
this year ambessa medarda will became a champion in the game too. is the first character original from the show to became playable in the game
Oh wow, that's cool. I thought she was a badass, glad they are making a champion for her! Will the pleasure boy also be there? 😂
@@MrGuybrush That I'm not sure, but uh, you also missed Vander...(Im not gonna tell you who Vander is.... Because that would be a huge spoiler... you'll see eventually, when season two comes out that is.)
Ps: What I said is still just a theory even for us(league players) Cause it hasn't been confirmed yet, however it is a theory with a lot of evidence, in the show, in the champion's lore, the fact that Vander took Shimmer before he died, and the fact that Singed(The doctor) is in the show.
@@dinossower2560 yeah "vander is X" is fan theory, not really confirmed... but will be cool if they did confirm it in season 2

I didn't know what to expect but it was pretty exciting to see your fresh, first time reaction to these characters :)
You missed Singed. Understandable though, everyone who isn't a fan of the games thinks he's a side character.
They never mention his name in series. Apart from the players, no one knows Singed's real identity.
He's actually one of the most important ones

I love how he completely missed that Vi's title is "The Piltovan enforcer"
Now that Acane season two trailer is out it's not a spoiler anymore but we League players knew all along
I had no idea!!! And on this video I was just so excited to check everything out that I missed it 😅😅 I watched the trailer for season 2 and saw it!!
@@MrGuybrush It's also the reason Vi and Cait both have Police skins :D
Technically Kindred is also mentioned in the series. In a pleasure den, where Caitlyn was waiting for Vi, there's a person with wearing Kindred mask
4:07 mage in league just means they scale more off AP (ability power) than AD (attack damage) they can be scientists or whatever, but mage is a whole class type of champions, they typically go mid lane but not always, some are jungle, some can be support.
Quick rundown of the game:
You got Top lane champs, usually filled with bruisers who can take a hit and dish some damage too, it is mostly a solo lane where you will be 1v1 most of the time with having to watch out for the jungler.
“How do they balance this game?”
Me laughing maniacally😂🤣
when he said: how do they balance this game??, i was like THATS THE FUN PART THEY DONT! HAHA
I LOVE see people who don't play league reacting to the champions, the game can be very... stressfully, but the lore, the characters, the universe is so good
Ambessa Medarda (Mel's mom) isn't there yet but she's one of the upcoming champion for this year
yup, shes out rn
@@johon127 you're replying to a 6 month old comment. why though?
@@dandyloona thought it’d be funny
You also got Janna over there she is part of the lore of Arcane as you can see a lot of pictures of her and people praying to her that she was the godess of wind and fresh air that helped people when in the Zaun there were toxic gases everywhere
3:49 thats the neat part, they dont😀
Was about to say that xd
7:16 It's not confirmed who the mage was, but it's very unlikely for it to have been Ryze. Ryze already had blueish skin during the Rune Wars, which is the thing that traumatized Heimerdinger about magic. He's also never been seen with a staff.
It's not like Ryze would give a rune to a random boy as well
Wow victor reacting to arcane.
8:52 well well well...
Yeah, summoners are no more, they had to change a lot of stories (Rip old trundle, one of the best lore still today for me)
They retconned that old Summoner lore a long time ago at this point, and tbh I'm glad they did, because it opened up a lot more freedom for them to create stories like Arcane.
@@Shiftry87 Ahhh, I see I see
The thing with Heimerdinger is his Rune Wars trauma relating to his Yordle magic is somewhat different between "League" and "Arcane".
Since it’s been teased so much in season 1, Vander is most likely the wolf dude named Warwick
Bro you sound exactly like victor, i got chills when you called jayce's name
“How do they balance this game?”
They don’t, that’s how.
Thank you for watching!
you missed warwick, singed, leblanc, orianna ( we can see her on the end of arcane 2 whit singed ), but its okay because u dont know the game and the idea of the video is amazing!!❤
yeah man too bad the vid is 6 months old. Plus if you wanna be that guy u missed swain's raven
Jhin is also in it, though without mask
vander is there... he is warwick XD
literally the main characters of the show
some clueless guy: oOO-UU--Wow i did not expect them to be champion
The „mage” designation on Heimer is just a role. He casts abilities to deal damage, so he is a mage. But his abilities are a death lazer and a turret, so he is still an inventor.
It's amazing seeing someone who has never played my childhood game (being playing for 11 years) be amazed by this ❣Makes my heart warm!
League Champions in Arcane so far from ss1 to ss2 including cameo and mention.
Appear in Arcane and essential to the plot
1. Jinx
2. Vi
3. Ekko
4. Warwick
5. Jayce
6. Viktor
7. Heimerdinger
8. Singed
9. Ambessa
10. Caitlyn
Mention/Cameos
1. Orianna (confirm to be Singed's Daughter)
2. Janna (just a statue of her the real her cannot appear)
3. Leblanc (clones of her trying attack Ambessa and Mel)
Champions that might appear in the future.
1. Urgot (it's highly possible that Ricter will be Arcane version of Urgot)
2. Swain (haven't been mentioned yet but I think next league show might set in Noxus)
3. Zigg (he might appears as Heimerdinger's next pupil and Ekko junior in Arcane)
4. Zac (arcane shenanigans might accidentally created Zac)
5. Doc Mundo
6. Ezreal
7. Camile (it's highly possible that Camile might be either a Kiraman or Caitlyn's dad Auntie in Arcane. I think it's the latter. Caitlyn's dad seems like he's coming from inventor family which is exactly what Ferros family is all about)
8. Twitch
I live for the reactions!! it's like discovering a new universe(lit)
The chimico-punk (victor's friend) who create chimera, is in the game too ^^
I know this video is a month old but when u go back and look at the default vi and jinx splashart you can see the city in the background of vi is not damaged but jinx has the same city in her background this time damaged by her havoc
"how do they balance the game"
Brother ask a very good question
Hahaha i want to see his face when he realized that vander is warwick 😅
Ryze is NOT the mage who save Jayce, that mage would be inferior to Ryze because how powerful Ryze is
Yeah, I thought it was, but people have been telling me it's not confirmed.
And now with Arcane Season 2, it's safe to tell Vander is there as Warwick
I also expected Ambessa to be there when I first watched the series, but only now is she being added!
Now there's also Singed, Warwick, Teemo(will apper at season 2 I believe), Ambesa. I Think that's it
You missed Singed too. The doctor that was doing experiments with Silco and gave to Viktor his final form
As a league player, when viktor said his name in the series I almos fell of the chair
I wanna see the reaction to the season two!!!
If you have already finished the second season you would need to see
Warwick, Singead and Ambessa
You miss Vander (aka warwick)
Singed
Janna (who was mention in passing in arcane)
Maybe he will do 2ndpart for season 2 :p
What's even more crazy, each skin has its own lore! Lol Arcane is just one univers 🤯🤯
It's insane that you recognized Ryze without having played league at all, he is literally in the series for only a minute, but yeah he is the mage that teleports Jayce and his mother to safety
You should watch the league cinematic cut scenes, top tier
I watched "Still here" (it's on my channel) but the rest I don't know the names 😬 League has so many videos in their channel
“How do they balance this game” I ask that question every day…
when he past warwick...
This is so wholesome and sweet
Thank you so much! I never expected this video to get any views haha I'm so happy everyone is enjoying
A few you missed:
Singed is the mad scientist that Viktor interacts with.
Renata Glasc was made to be a stand-in for Silco.
Some people theorize that Vander will turn into Warwick in season 2.
they showed Singed working on Warwick in the teaser for season 2 ;)
Well, I don't know if it's official or not, but Ryze may be the person from the beginning, because he travels through space-time to save Runeterra (the world where Arcane takes place), because he has already witnessed the war that would end Runeterra, caused by the global runes, since then he travels through time trying to get them all to guard and protect them, while "fighting" with himself not to lose control of the runes and of himself (the brand was consumed by one of the runes in case anyone is curious to know)
Great video 😊
Thank you! 😊
Yaesh - youre killing me bro...
Fun fact: valentines days Vi / Caitlyn skins shares the same splash art, and in game her base recalls completes each other :)
@@MrGuybrushYeah, League of Legends and Dota 2 were both built to be like the Warcraft III mod, Defense of the Ancients.
Vander is Warwick and their is singed too, the professor who created Warwick
You missed Twitch. He is the rat that was given the Shimmer serum and ate the cat in episode 1, and Singed is also a character you will recognize from the show.
Now that is not at all confirmed. xD
@@Raxiums add in that was early shimmer. twitch seams like he would need a better shimmer than that one.
not only u were wrong on him being twitch but another giant rat who speaks appeared so both your theories ended up being wrong
you forgot Singed, the scientist that helped Silco making Shimmer and the one that introduced Viktor to an endangered creature.
Check out my follow-up video! I talk about him and more that I missed in there 👀
Ambessa is also got a new champion in lol last month and her daughter is getting a champion too soon
You sounds like Viktor from Arcane ngl
That's funny, he's was one of my favorite characters!
Vander is a champion, so your prediction was pretty correct. He actually got transformed by Singed. He is currently the beast known as Warwick
You see Pics of teemo in the show too.
No one told him Vander was there but he’s Warwick he was cooking tho
"Im still looking for vander" i think bro missed him😭

Singed and WarWick are teased on the show
The champions that appear in Arcane are: Jayce, Jynx, Vi, Caitlyn, Synged, Ekko, Heimerdinger, Warwyck (Vander), Ambessa (New champ) & Viktor. The one in the game is the one in Arcane, they are just telling you the lore of the game. Some other cameos are Teemo, Janna, LeBlanc, Oriana and I think those are all
When did teemo appear
@stratosm3154 it's not exactly him, but a picture of him. When they are looking for Jinx.
@stratosm3154 It's like Janna, it wasn't actually her, but a representation of her.
5:20 looks like Samus Aran from Metroid, yes. Man of culture.
warwick, singed and twitch are also in the show. Twitch and warwick are spoilers maybe idk, but singed is Silco crazy scientist
