Aespa are honestly in A league of their own I’ve literally never come across a group that is so out of the norm continuously. From the beats, the visuals and mvs ,I love it and their visuals are INSANEEE
Honestly aespa’s concept is genius. I didnt think SM could still be outdoing themselves till this day lol. Also where do they find their artists????? Like the talent and visuals omg.

Yes that is Ningning, my GIRL, with the brown hair and who went OFF at the end. I love her a lot, she's my bais and she's just so insanely talented she blows me away everytime. And I love watching her perform she's so sassy. I love this song a lot, it's definitely different from Next Level and Black Mamba, but Aespa's sound is becoming a staple already. I love their experimental sound and their storyline and their like "y2k futuristic" aesthetics. It makes complete sense why NCT and Aespa are my two favorite groups, considering their style and quality of music. Aespa's mini album is great as well, they really did a great job introducing themselves to the world with it and there's no skip fr. Definitely hoping yo see you check that out, aenergy and lucid dreams are 2 of my favorite b-sides so far.

aespa is the perfect bridge between that 2nd gen kpop sound, and the current kpop sound. They completely captured my heart with their music, talent, and concept. I haven’t felt this way about a group since GG/f(x) left the kpop scene.
Red Velvet's kid sister group is on another level. Got the SM Red Velvet DNA with vocals, visuals, concepts, choreo and weaponry. Notice the odd eyes like Irene, the dance move in the Navis segment like Bad Boy, and more 👍🤗
Their B sides are awesome too like their big sisters.
True true, I started with SNSD, and when they gradually do less group activities I thought that's the end of me in kpop but then Red Velvet came they somehow filled the void, and now they do less promotions as well then came aespa which somehow reminded me of SNSD/Fx/RV, instantly become a fan. I feel like every gg that SM produce has remnants from their previous gg. SM embodies innovation generation to generation.

The transition in this is oddly smooth like you can hear that it was changing beats and genre, but it flawlessly goes from one to the other.
"Expect the unexpected", proceeds to be surprised haha. Aespa have really brought back the over the top ridiculousness that I miss about early 2nd gen, they somehow remind me of DBSK/TVXQ a bit. It's all just so fun and weird with random sound bytes and half the lyrics make no sense! Plus the costumey outfits too. Someone else mentioned Y2K futurism and that is so perfect (2000s is retro now what?!) When Winter started singing at 3:32 I had some serious auditory flashbacks to SNSD's Taeyeon. Ning Ning has such a great voice, I think she had some vocal training from SES's Bada (1st gen SM girl group), many people have pointed out similarities in her singing style. Those goggle glasses have been going around! Key, NCT and Wonho all wore them recently, I think a few others too!
You should watch Black Mamba Ep.1 by SM so you could understand their concept.
But to give you a summary, they have their AI version. Naevis created them. But somehow someone hacked their AI, and black mamba was the suspect if I'm not mistaken. That's what their debut all about. They were disconnected from their AI.
So on the Next Level, they travel to find Kwangya to find black mamba. Kwangya is a korean word for Wilderness or Unknown world located beyond the Flat (As Ningning's line on Black Mamba). Kwangya is where their AI were located and where the black mamba kept their AI. Thus their songs titled Next Level because they want to level up their game.
On Savage, as you saw on the mv Karina's AI. The one you said beautiful. She's always leading the song on the intro. You can see on the mv that her AI (violet) become rude or has black aura because they were corrupted by the black mamba if I'm not mistaken. And Naevis, since she was the only one who can open the portal to Kwangya, she sacrifices her self so they can be safe.
Winter the short hair girl is really beautiful and her vocalssss awesome
REALLY loving this album❤️🔥SM kinda knows what they’re doing… this track in particular plays on the 127 vibe with all of the change-ups, amazing bridge and pre-chorus parts with the anti-drops that make it all so interesting😎
I also really appreciated a point that someone made about the fact that aespa really commits 100% to their concept with these videos and lyrics, which is pretty uncommon with groups❤️🔥

I wouldn’t credit that to 127 alone! That’s a SM staple (TVXQ Rising Sun & Triangle, SNSD I got a boy, f(x) Red light, EXO Tempo, Red Velvet Zimzalabim)

I think it’s kind of funny that with all of the reactions I’ve watched of this MV, so far people have related the cartoon bridge to: Sailor Moon, Totally Spies, Winx, and Power Puff Girls👾
Haha, really? Idk what Totally Spies or Winx are but I could totally see the Powerpuff Girls, but 100% some Moon Prism Power in that bridge haha
@@rjkpop Totally Spies was a show I watched when it came out when I was in early high school (yep-I’m that old) and Winx is a fairy show that was after my time but maybe before yours?😅
Ningning is my fav. member but I love them all equally. Aespa is so talented, beautiful. Prolly the best 4th gen female group for me. ❤️ Love Aespa. And as much as I hate SM as a person I won’t deny his creativity and his artists are the best in Kpop right from Vocals to Visuals to rap to dance.

Ningning…is she 19 now? She was 18 when she debuted. Maybe even Winter too. These girls are so young. A month away from 1 year since their debut so they are still considered rookies.

I’m ot4 for Aespa. In fact I’m ot for BlackPink and Dreamcatcher as well. For me, choosing a bias is implying the other members are somehow lesser in my eyes.
None are but I do have a soft spot for Ningning.
Sometimes she’s hard to even look at. And her voice….Between her and Winter’s power vocals, I’m totally enamored with Aespa.
But I adore them all. Karina and Giselle can pretty much step on me too.
