Just rode mine 25 miles. One of the most comfortable bikes I’ve ever ridden. And I’ve bought well over 100 bikes from motocross race bikes to big hogs.
Thanks for your work / fun 😊 I will get mine delivered only in June, the Khaki Green is apparently sold out here in Germany…Zack and Spurgeons Trip helped me to finally decide to buy this bike. Have lots of fun, J.
Absolutely gorgeous bike. Looks like a TON of fun I love the crew down at Charleston Triumph. Good people. I had the same issue with the fuel pump on my Himalayan that Ang had. But CHS Triumph identified it, got the warranty part from overseas, and got it back to me in 9 days.
I Own a speed 400, In the immobiliser turns on while riding, try switching out the key with the spare , always works, it occurs because the key's battery is not charged up, to avoid this from happening switch out the keys every 25 days.
Sweet! Mine should be right behind yours. I haven’t heard from Craig yet though. Maybe I’ll have to wait longer getting the less popular red version. Can’t wait to see what you do with it. I’m super excited.
I have been waiting for the first North American to review the first Triumph 400 bikes. I am considering one for myself. Do you think a 15 tooth sprocket change might help, especially in the first two gears? Keep up your reviews. I am sub'd.
Also - thank you for subscribing! I tend to post a variety of content involving two wheels and adventures or just stuff. Have a look at the back catalog of videos to get examples
Some pics and early reviews had an aluminum ski plate. It was disappointing to see the plastic junk. So, first and only Triumph accessory will be the aluminum one they offer. When a pipe comes out to get rid of the box underneath, will get that as well. Other than that, perhaps one tooth larger on the countershaft.
First gear is fairly low. And hitting sixty, trying to cruise there, starts to bring on some extensive buzzing. One tooth larger on countershaft may be the trick.
I test rode it and wanted to like it, but just could not accept the gear box. Exact issue you had - miss from 2nd to 3rd. And the gear lever itself was absolute garbage. Would need to fit a proper rear set, but not sure what can be done about that gear box.
I have some trials events on the calendar as time allows. I was hoping to do this weekend in Georgia but it’s not gonna happen. I hope to ride both modern and vintage trials this year. I still have one video from last summer to edit. I thought I had lost the files but I located them. It was an event I went to and DNF because the clutch issues on my GasGas were so bad I couldn’t stop stalling the engine.
hello, I'm getting mine when they arrived to Mexico!, question the silver plate on the left is it plastic or metal? I want to paint the carvings that say "scrambler 400x" with the colour of the bike, but only if its metal

"Let me calm down..." Love it. Great new ride!

Yes I had a good experience with the folks at Charleston Triumph for sure

Recognized that skyline, Good review can't wait to see it on the trail.
Congrats! Cant wait to get mine here in Ohio!
I appreciate this review. Mine should be in soon down in Lower Alabama

Carnival red is a great color. I have it on a 1200, and the new tiger 9 looks badass as well.
Congrats Pow!!! Such a good looking bike...
Congratulations. I hope I can meet you. I live in Columbia.

Yes I can definitely see a larger front sprocket being preferable for mostly street riding

All good ideas. Although I may keep the sprockets stock on mine I believe

I imagine this would be a lot better bike for the TAT compared to your Honda Trail 125 that you rode on the TAT with Ang!

I love the music what is it called?😃
Nice bike, will you be riding in any trials events this year? Thanks..

@@JohnnyPowRides Cool, hope to see you again as we competed together back in the day 😎
Congrats dude, she's beautiful! A Marshall half-stack and a brand new Triumph in your shop---you are living the dream sir!
🤘

It’s aluminum. Looks like it would take a paint fill nicely
The headlight seemed to be not so bright was that true or just a trick of the camera?
Mostly it’s the camera making things look really dark. But I do think the light throw is a bit dimmer than I hoped
@@JohnnyPowRides certainly won’t stop me from getting one I’ll just have to strap a few flashlights to the handlebars 😆
Nice !
You need to raise the gear lever your foots probably resting on it that’s why you’re having difficulty changing up
Yeah I’m planning on that anyway, looks a little angled low. Thanks
The immobiliser light is a known issue.
No issue with it today… might need some tweaking by the time I do first service
Gotta take it on the highway
Might get some back Highway miles on it tomorrow, but I don’t want to go for extended high speed droning riding until it’s broken in
Cool like fonz JP.
Ayyyyy!
How is it for beginners?
I think it would be fantastic for a beginner. Not too intimidating, upright posture to see well, low entry cost to the brand, etc
@@JohnnyPowRides thank you
showroom guy advised to me not to go above 100 kmph until first service,
New bikes have to work in the cylinders at varying RPMs. You get a bunch of metal shavings in the oil
Yeah what I like to do is vary rpms and conditions and not extended high rpms, or heavy loads on the engine, or sustained steady rpms for a long time
in india it costs around $2.5k but in states its 5.5k
plenty of power for who?? it barely will even wheelie LMAO
