Tying a NED FLY for Perch/Bass 🔥 (with Floating Tip)
Вставка
- Опубліковано 3 сер 2022
- The Ned Rig is one of the most effective rigs/styles for bass, perch and other predatory fish and in this fly tying tutorial, Daniel Bergman fro Fly-Dressing shows us how to tie a Ned Fly.
Ned the Worm Fly - A super fun worm pattern to fish slow when Perch are picky and not super active, but it can also be jigged home more active. The “popped” up tail makes the fly pulsate in a seductive way even when not stripped home at all. Make sure to keep as much contact as possible with the fly since the takes can be very careful.

This video warmed my heart because I thought I was the only one who dropped a dubbing spinner and cut his thread!! 🤣. Now I know I’m not alone 😄. Very awesome fly…….Thank you Daniel!!! 👍🎣
Hehe. Shit happens when cameras roll! 😜

Hello from New Jersey USA. Long time watcher and new subscriber. I love that you keep the videos real and show us that we all mess things up, but recovery can be simple. You guys are true masters at the vise and very talented and funny! Thanks for sharing your knowledge and time with us.
Very nice tie. Thank you! One tip I'd like to mention though, is that a bobbin is not ruined because a drop or two of superglue taht runs down the thread and into the ceramic tube. I've heard this statement before. Superglue is cyanoacrylate and it's easily dissolved with acetone even when cured. Just wet a q-tip or a paper towel with acetone and let it sit for 5-10 minutes and the superglue becomes rubbery and can easily be removed from the tube.
Finally some fly fishing content again. I love the othervids, but fly fishing is where the heart is :-)
Agreed!
Cool fly Daniel. Not only for perch but also for our Brown Trouts. They will love it. Sometimes when tying more hands would be helpful. Thanks for showing. thight lines
The Nedfly looks great. I would like to give it a try for perch in Austria! Thanks for sharing!
5. Thank you for sharing and providing so much detail. 🇺🇸 Ned technique very popular for Largemouth and Smallmouth Bass fishing.
Great looking fly, would love to try this one for large mouth bass here in the states. Thanks for sharing.
Nice fly and super idea. I will try to tie it and certainly catch my PB Perch. :D
this is a rad fly simple but genius and with very few materials
Cutting one's tying thread is usually not a disaster unless deer hair is being spun/stacked. THAT is an adventure. 🙂 Great fly! Thanks for sharing!
Fun tie! This one will be added to my perch box project 😎
Realy nice fly , i need to try it !
Kind of the same style that I tye my cinder worm pattern. I really like the dumbbell eyes. Got me thinking.
👍Very nice pattern. Thought it was going to be a very difficult tie but you explained it quite well. Can't wait to tie one.
Såg god ut. Hoppas det kommer en film då ni fiskar med den snart
Nice one! A must try fly!
Realy cool fly 😊 and a great video tutorial 💪😁.
Not sure why my comment was deleted, perhaps because it was perceived that I was promoting a competitor, but hardly the case given its a different country. It was only intended to help people who might be unable to source them. Anyway if anyone is struggling to source these shanks in the UK I can point you in the right direction. Still, nice pattern and thanks for sharing.
Super nice perch fly!🔥👌🐽
Thanks for sharing how to tie this. I've been getting into tying nymphs this year and fishing them with my UL spinning gear and this is a nice pattern for perch that I should start tying.
Hello Daniel! Nice fly, I will tie this fly in an smaller size to cast it to carps. All the best.
Very good fly!!
Imponerande! Jlar vad duktig du är🤟🤟
💚💛❤
One of the best tieing vidoes!. Daniel is the man on the the fiddly flys 😊👍🏻Cool patern. Would love to try it on perch.
Måste provas helt enkelt. Fortsätt bind på. 🎣
This is an interesting fly i would love to fish this in California for bass..thanks for tutorial.🐟🎣🙏🤙
brilliant tying
Sick one 🔥🔥🔥
Amazing pattern!
I love this. So I had to try. My first one wasn’t pretty and made the tail too long. But I got it dialed in on my second go. Thanks
great idea. thx for sharing this. guess i need to do some of these ned flies
looks great 👏
It’s smart, given me an idea for a weedless perch or maybe goby pattern incorporating the foam tail to make it “Ned” 👍
Very clean work as well as the explanations given. 👌
great fly very good instruction. Thanks
Tied these back in January of 21' after playing with blanes changer craw,, love seeing everyone put em to work. Nice tie man.
Love this pattern bro
Very cool tying technique on the tail section
Måste va grymt bra på vårens havsöring också. Borde imitera borstmasken på väg upp ur sanden. Nu ska det bindas Ned borstmask👍👍👍
Garanterat! Missade borstmasken i år, men hoppas hinna testa den nästa år!
This is a super smart tie for warm water.
sick looking pattern ! Now I have an excuse to go buy the magnum magic tool 😁👍
good work, awesome fly! would like to try that one!
Thank you, i loved the pattern, but i loved more your nice Attitude!
Wow! Really Nice fly😃 I actually think we could use this rabbit fur a lot more here in Denmark, when tying brushworm-imitations for coastal seatrout🤯💥🤩👍 I'll try experimenting 🎣
That fly looks great. I would love to win it and catch big perch🎣🎣🎣
thankyou daniel for a great fly, and also the magic tool, glad u didnt edit the blooper, its happened to me few times lol.
Amazing
Snyggt Daniel! Måste prövas ! / Andreas
Very nice!
Thanks for sharing
Would be a perfect fly to catch my first perch on fly :D
Quite like my Stand Up Guy ned fly, this will work great though I've found that using a 90 degree jig hook with the eyes tied inside the bend makes for better durability and snag resistance than the 60 degree.
Ah! Good thinking there! Must be tried. 👍🏻
make your own shanks leave 1 end plan then superglue foam push it on shank then use thread to tie it on with
And amazing fly.
I too, have also cut my thread. :)
Very Sweet Fly !!! Just wondering if the fish teeth will possibly cut the thread of the "wormy" part of the fly ? I will be working to tie a few of these up to try in Michigan !! Thanks so much.
David M. Clunk - Fisher-of-Men Fly Tying - Ada Michigan
Hi David, glad you liked it. The thread is GSP and quite strong both against abrasion and cuts. It’s possible to use a thicker one if needed. But of course, shit can happen anyway.
Nice fly
Snyggt jobb Daniel! Ser stekhet ut! (Flugan alltså 😉) 👍
Tackar! 😜
Great Job!
Much of work is needed to do one of this bait, I don't wanna think how much time will be needed to do many lure to sell 🤯 🎣
Like with everything production time can be cut down if proper preparation work is done. But it’s not a quick tie anyway. But sometimes it’s worth it.
Absolutly great Fly 😊……
Tack!! Blir ju sugen på att göra lite egna beten. Kan inte kanalgratis sälja ett paket med allt som behövs för att börja knyta eget?
🤣🤣🤣If it doesn't work, it works in the Christmas tree🎄
Merry Christmas! 🎅🏼
Den där utan vikt skulle kunna vara en riktigt bra borstmask imitation 😂
Hello Daniel! Thanks for the great underwater video! This template has long been known in different versions. You have applied other materials and added a foam tail. I think this is an interesting idea. I fished with such worms for a short time, because the tail of this worm often clung to the hook, especially when casting long distances or strong winds. It irritated me a lot. My attempts to change this flaw in the design of the fly, as well as to change my casting, have not been successful. In the end, I gave up on this fly. What do you think needs to be done to avoid this?
Snyggt!
Kan ni testa fiska i allgunnen sjö (högsby) går rampa egen båt hade varit jätte roligt att se
🎣🤩
What vise are you using and where do you get one?
Should work for Zander too quite well in my mind. ?!
I tried to tie this myself but I failed I need to buy a magic clip . I just have a pair of those clips that are multi purpose they don't work very well with holding material to fat of jaws. Love the fly should work well in Washington state where I live.
Biutyful lurre i want it in my box
You provide materials that you don’t sell on your website 😓 Impossible to found those materials in france , had to buy in sweden 🙄
Hvor kan du kjøpe
Vad jag vet finns den inte att köpa. Men du kan säkert få någon duktig flugbindare som säljer att binda upp några till dig.
