Thanks for this video, I used to use a myriad of clunky 3rd party plugs to achieve only a small percentage of this functionality. Really appreciate you sharing this - thanks so much!
ACF Frontendform Pro was really great in the beginning. But from version 2.9.6. so many problems and bugs began to emerge, e.g. first the image upload button disappeared. Then the image upload button came back but the upload itself stopped working. Then the information for the post title got lost. My takeaway after using the plugin for nearly 1 year: the plugin seems to be not well tested and you’d have to fear with every update that your forms break. And those updates happen a lot! Like 5-7 times a week is not an exception. You cannot possibly handle this amount of updates and while it gets worse and worse. It was a good plugin in the beginning, no I cannot recommend it any longer. BTW: Thanks for the video, great as always!
Hi Paul - WOW! This looks so much easier than learning Toolset. I would love to see another video with the pro features. Maybe the authors will gift you a copy in thanks for your lovely tutorial.
I'm currently in the process of creating a book review website. With the help of your tutorial, I've been able to create - a custom post type - some custom taxonomies - a custom field group, in which some of the fields are linked to the custom taxonomies, and - a loop using a custom skin. The form works brilliantly on the front end and the information submitted is displayed using the loop and a single post template I created. The only issue I currently have is this: I'm not able to hide the EDIT button (with modal switched on) from users not logged in. Indeed, when a logged out user clicks on the EDIT button, an error message appears indicating the user doesn't have permission to view the form; of course, I would much rather the button is hidden from logged out users. Now there has been a number of GUI changes/additions to the ACF Frontend widget since you posted this tutorial (nearly two years ago). I was wondering if you could possibly do a revisit of the WordPress Frontend Form Submit with Elementor & ACF tutorial to include the new bits added to the widget (unfortunately, the ACF Frontend documentation hasn't been updated). That said, I have to tell you, Paul... now I've started using advanced custom fields, there's absolutely no going back! And that's thanks to you, mate!
thanks this helps a ton. are you using the acf front end forms pro? My version does not have the title, featured image, and excerpt mapping option you show at 11:23
Well, I think I've found my replacement for PAFE. I'd love to see conditional logic and an integration with Google sheets but this will definitely help for one of my forms. I'm still going to use my current workflow for adding posts but love the ability to have users edit them later. I think I'll build a form that allows them to not only edit but add updates to events, such as if they sell out, get cancelled, or just to add details. Your tuts always get my brain a spinning!
This is completely Awesome! I've been looking for something like this for weeks. I'll be checking out the other tutorials too! Thank you very much for taking the time to create this top quality content.
Great job! I always enjoy your tutorials. Please make a tutorial on hidden label of dynamic content using dynamic select in elementor pro. Thank you in anticipation
Looking for something like this for a client I'm working for. Needed something that allows front end and back end simplicity for the admin to edit and monitor posts. You've brought me that much closer to my pay day with this video. thanks!
Dear Paul, Please update this tutorial, it's really great, but the plugin now isn't the same, if you don't mind can you please make a new tutorial for the same concept.
Hi Paul, many thanks for the tut. That's a bit of a game changer plugin! I've been using the similarly named "ACF Front Form for Elementor" and while it does a decent job of presenting the form, I've been nagging the devs for an edit capability which has never materialised. Now, I don't need it! I've not tried it yet but I presume you could use the form with regular WP posts and, if so, goes another step to keeping users/authors away from the back-end and I'm thinking tomorrow I'm going to try putting the loop into a "custom admin page".
You can use it to edit the title, content, featured image and excerpt currently, but I'm talking to the developer who's looking at ways to expand both the free version and the Pro version with a lot of great new features including WP core, ACF and WooCommerce. It's definitely a plugin to watch over the coming months.
Thanks Paul. Is there a way of linking the item (eg: Vehicles) into the 'Profile' page. Meaning the Seller may have eg: 5 Vehicles to sell and these can each be linked from the Profile page to the individual feature pages of the Vehicles? Likewise, each Vehicle page can have a return link (back) to the Profile. The purpose of this is to allow the end customer looking to buy a vehicle with the opportunity to check out the seller. Many thanks again.
Yes, you can use ACF relationships to link vehicles to dealers and/or vice versa. It's covered in this tutorial. ua-cam.com/video/8B9Pb8JZouM/v-deo.html
Great video! I got lost at 19:04 on the editing portion. Do you need Elementor Pro for this? Can you point me to the video where you built the Property Loop?
Thanx a million...I used it and very helpful. I just saw a short video tut from Jet Engine that they offer such feature but their tut is not as perfect as yours! (And the feature looks very professional!!!!)I would love to see a tut from you about it, if possible :) once again thank you.
Thank you for the feedback and I am currently working on a guide to the new JetEngine 2.2 update and just need to iron a few bugs out and will be putting a complete tutorial together on how to use the new features. :0)
You introduced such good plugins for advanced filtering like facetWP with addons but for contact (quiry) forms there is most popular form plugin with tons of first and third party addons. It would be interesting to see an advanced gravity forms setup video for example to contact and hire interpreter service.
Thanks Paul for the video content. But my acf frontend form doesn't show Edit option, it only showed current, other post and new. What plugin do i need to make that show up?
How to add USERNAME as a post autor in the form, so I can see who submitted it? Also how can I use a show current user shortcode which will be submitted with the form?
Hi, Your tutorials have been of tremendous help to me. Thanks so much. Just a question, I created a feature where users can submit their resumes using the ACF, but I am stuck at them getting a notification when their submission is approved and published. What workaround would you suggest on this, please? Thanks so much for your time!!!
Thank you. I've got the opposite problem and I've been looking everywhere to solve it. My posts are all created on the backend and I made a file field with ACF Pro so each post has a document uploaded to it. On the single post template I need a button to download that document but require users to submit their email first. So basically a form that will capture email and then trigger an acf download.
Love the tutorial, but I am trying to activate ACF Elementor plugin and page is blocked, may i work with other plugin, I have elementor pro and ACF Custom fields. Thank you

Thanks again Paul for an awesome tutorial and introduction to what seems to be a very promising new plugin. You mentioned at 6:50 about a tutorial regarding the edit/add user/terms - have you done this yet? - I've been looking for it but can't find it. It would be great if the plugin author could produce a manual - there's not a lot on the website, and it's hard to tell what additional features are available in the pro version.
Hi I have problem with ACF Frond and Elementor Pro. It does not register the data that is put in the front form, the form comes out great in the frond, fill in the form, but when you go to the post to review the registration, the data is not there, that is, the data of the frond form does not upload, there is a solution. Thank you.
Thank you for sharing great content!!! About this plugin, is there a way to adapt the mobile layout? If you custom the size of your fields to look good on computer it all falls apart when you change to mobile.. any tips?
Great run-through. Thanks! Somehow ACF Frontend Forms have removed the Post Title Field / Post Content Field etc. associations. On their own website's How-Tos, they are talking about the "Form Structure" tab, which I cannot seem to find either.
Thx a lot for the great value in your tutorials. Just one question: might you have an idea how to limit the agents in the form, so that only agents are shown that have been created by the logged-in user?
Good Morning! First of all, I apologize for my not very good English. I really like the ACF Frontend plugin, it helps me a lot. But I think it could be more versatile, like allowing you to change the location of fields or change their size when creating the record/edit screen. I come to report a small problem I had with it. I created a registration editing screen in the Modal version of Elementor and the date field, configured as "Date Selector" does not work. Remembering that in the Modal version the screen opens as a popup. This editing screen is opened from an Elementor model created as a Single Product that visualizes the product data and allows editing through a Modal button. I had to change the screen to the normal editing pattern, opening in a new page, because if I sent to a page outside the Single Product, the product to be edited would not load. I also created a POPUP to test and the same error occurs. Now I have a question, how to create masks for ACF fields in Frontend like birthday, phone, and documents in general? Thank you for your attention. I am available for further information. Compliments, Abel Pinho

Hmm, I'm not too sure if there is a comparable product that would work with WooCommerce. I'd need to look into that and see if there's anything available.
Hi Paul, thanks for this tutorial - it is really useful. I have a question - how would you prepare front end form which should allow users choice font family (dropdown list needs to contain some of the google fonts) and how to use that value after submission to put in css as a font-family property for example for h1 elements?
ACF can possibly the digital visiting card website. The client self login in and make self digital visiting cards with choosing any theme and download or mail PDF format. Thank you
Really great video… Need little help I want to use post content field 2 times in same form. I tried but I am getting form submission only for 1 post content field, not for 2nd field Please create video on “How to use 2 post content fields in single new post form?” Thanks
Hello, can I ask you a question? I am using Elementor Pro and ACF Frontend Form Pro, I have recently noticed that having both plugins installed the site loads slowly, when I want to open the header, it does not load, do you know if there is any problem with the latest version of those plugins? thank you

Hi Paul, thanks for the tutorial. Did anyone knows how to implement webcam upload whenever user click file upload it take a snapshot from webcam (desktop version) on wordpress? thank you
Great Video , can you help me how to can show my post list (not in WP dashbard) to can also edit them by form and not using the WP editor? I actually have forms to can add and edit a single post but i'd like to can show to user the post list and to can choose what to edit without that he have access to WP dashboard. Thank You
There is option to edit a docs? I use betterDocs and I want to give my users option to edit the docs but I see that it's works only with posts. Any advice?
Is it also possible to answer to a user generated post and send an Email to the creator automatically, so he doesn't have to openly show his Mail-Address?
It looks great. Great and clear presentation. Could we have a different user dashboard and forms based on user role? I'm currently planning to build a site with shop's profiles (light site web/directory) and the consumer being able to post a good to sell or to buy. thanks
I don't see why not. You could set-up redirect conditions based upon user roles and then set up different functioning dashboards or make a single dashboard with links that only show to your user roles as well as restrict access to those pages with the correct user roles to improve security.
Hi Paul! As a new person watching your tutorials, I’m really learning a lot. Quick question, after creating my field group, assigning it to a page, and edit with elementor, when i went to type in frontend form, nothing shower up? Is it under a different name? I do not have the pro version of acf nor elementor. Any ideas?
Great tutorial. In my case I use a Custom Post Type with Categories. However the Cateories are not being displayed. How can I add them. I ticked *Post Categorys Field*. This is not showing my custom post type categories though.
Hello, This is a great tutorial to learn about ACF form for frontend posting and editing. I have few questions for you: I have created custom post ui and mapped the custom fields with it as welll. I created a form for NEW POST through acf front form and it worked storing the values in the posts and then i created a new page for EDIT POST to edit those values of the custom fields. Somehow ehen i edit those values they are not edited in the custom post that i have created. Could you help with me this? I think i might be doing somethin wrong as the Edit Post page doesnt show the values as well which was used in New Post page for the same user and once ediing them doesnt modify them as well.
Hi there, how are you? thanks for sharing your knowledge and experience with us, i have an elementor registration form for HOA in-class for 10 people only, is it possible to control the submissions via Elementor or ACF? when it hit 10 should close and keep only online via Zoom registration. The course page is based on ACF and Elementor Pro Theme Builder. Thanks!
It's not clear to me if a Template (of type Post or Page) *must* be created first before inserting the New Post widget from ACF Frontend or not. ACF Frontend video states that one should be created, but even in that video it is not clear why a template is needed. Any guidance is certainly appreciated. Thank you.
I Paul, quiet interesting, but I fall on this video and It's like I missed up something in a previous video...May You suggest tutorial order to follow in order to reach that result?
Hey Paul love your tutorials, Ive been going through in time your videos on frontend form submissions and had a question regarding Ultimate Member plugin and ACF. Is there a way for me to allow users to add opening hours and also timeslots where activities are held for the venues I have on my site. I would like it to be filterable also. Just want a nice venue information feature on my website so users can easily search for example 'live music from 6pm>' and it shows what venues have live music on at that time. I hope this makes sense. Appreciate your work!
I would love to see an updated video on this topic now that ACF Pro is updated, and ACF Frontend Forms seems to be gone. From what I can tell it has been renamed to Frontend Admin, and updated. Things aren't the same which kind of makes this video obsolete now. Any way you can remake it? Today would be great... mmmkay? Thanks. 🤣🤣
We shouldn't need to have ELEMENTOR PRO if we can put the plugin with a shortcode inside our theme loop right? The problem is shortcodes for this plugin like [acf_front_form] don't seem to work for me at all. Does anyone know why this would be the case?
Hi. Paul C. You are doing great job. And Nice tutorials. But, I have a question. If my customer wants custom fields along with user registration and login and my account profile, how can i work out it ?
Hi ! I puzzle. What if I don't want any field but the usual of new post in backend. Can we access to the usual and regular fields without creating any ? Thanks

Brilliant tutorial, Paul... just what I needed!
I'm currently in the process of creating a book review website. With the help of your tutorial, I've been able to create
- a custom post type
- some custom taxonomies
- a custom field group, in which some of the fields are linked to the custom taxonomies, and
- a loop using a custom skin.
The form works brilliantly on the front end and the information submitted is displayed using the loop and a single post template I created. The only issue I currently have is this:
I'm not able to hide the EDIT button (with modal switched on) from users not logged in. Indeed, when a logged out user clicks on the EDIT button, an error message appears indicating the user doesn't have permission to view the form; of course, I would much rather the button is hidden from logged out users.

Thank you
Really great video…
Need little help
I want to use post content field 2 times in same form.
I tried but I am getting form submission only for 1 post content field, not for 2nd field
Please create video on “How to use 2 post content fields in single new post form?”
Thanks
Hello, can I ask you a question? I am using Elementor Pro and ACF Frontend Form Pro, I have recently noticed that having both plugins installed the site loads slowly, when I want to open the header, it does not load, do you know if there is any problem with the latest version of those plugins? thank you
Hi, Congratulations this video is great. I have a question about the multi step form. I create 3 field group, but it only works the title and content when I put new post on the first step. In the 2 and 3 step doesn´t fill anything. Can you help me?
Hi Paul, thanks for the tutorial. Did anyone knows how to implement webcam upload whenever user click file upload it take a snapshot from webcam (desktop version) on wordpress? thank you
Every video answers more questions about our association website. We have struggled to find a designer with your abilities. Do you contract?
Occasionally, it all depends on my availability and the project.
Great Video ,
can you help me how to can show my post list (not in WP dashbard) to can also edit them by form and not using the WP editor?
I actually have forms to can add and edit a single post but i'd like to can show to user the post list and to can choose what to edit without that he have access to WP dashboard.
Thank You
There is option to edit a docs? I use betterDocs and I want to give my users option to edit the docs but I see that it's works only with posts. Any advice?
Is it also possible to answer to a user generated post and send an Email to the creator automatically, so he doesn't have to openly show his Mail-Address?
Hi is there away for the users to see posts that are pending publishing?
In Elementor > ACF Frontend Form is not an option .. did they change this or do I need a pro account to access this feature?
I think I ended up finding one called ACF Form that worked out 👍
Hello,
This is a great tutorial to learn about ACF form for frontend posting and editing. I have few questions for you:
I have created custom post ui and mapped the custom fields with it as welll.
Thanks!
Another great tutorial. Wondering about your thoughts on Metabox tool ?
This is a great plugin. Now i need to verify that 2 fields match each other, any idea? Thanks :)
It's not clear to me if a Template (of type Post or Page) *must* be created first before inserting the New Post widget from ACF Frontend or not. ACF Frontend video states that one should be created, but even in that video it is not clear why a template is needed. Any guidance is certainly appreciated. Thank you.
Is it possible to assign a property to an agent and or assign an agent to a property? It seems you can't and have to use an inverted relationship...
I Paul, quiet interesting, but I fall on this video and It's like I missed up something in a previous video...May You suggest tutorial order to follow in order to reach that result?
hey paul how are you? the images are not displayed on the frontend when the user upload the photo gallery. any idea? advice? please help me. Thanks
Today would be great... mmmkay? Thanks. 🤣🤣
exactly, video is not same for new updated plugin
@wptuts, please create new video
is it possible to create a link and not a modal of the form?
We shouldn't need to have ELEMENTOR PRO if we can put the plugin with a shortcode inside our theme loop right?
The problem is shortcodes for this plugin like [acf_front_form] don't seem to work for me at all.
Does anyone know why this would be the case?
Hi. Paul C. You are doing great job. And Nice tutorials. But, I have a question. If my customer wants custom fields along with user registration and login and my account profile, how can i work out it ?
Use ACF to create your custom user fields, associate them with user details and you can assign those to the form using ACF Frontend Forms plugin.
I really liked this tutorial but the plugin seems to have changed a bit or I did something wrong
Hi ! I puzzle. What if I don't want any field but the usual of new post in backend. Can we access to the usual and regular fields without creating any ? Thanks
Yes, you can access pretty much any of the main normal WordPress post fields and just use those.
Hey Paul, how exactly would I set up a form to add a predefined tag to a post when a post edit form is submitted?
