I love your channel! I am not in education, I am actually in grad school to become a therapist but I can't stop watching all your videos! Your channel is really helpful for me to understand unique needs in school settings and the quality is so so good! I just started my own channel to talk about topics related to mental health.
You are my SPED teacher kindred spirit! I discovered you about a month ago, and we are on the same page with so many things. You have put into practice things I have just read about or tried on my own. I didn't really get my task box system off the ground last year, so that's what I was searching for when I found you, but every video has such useful info (Behavior reteach cards FTW!). I have gone back and watched a lot of videos, gotten items off your TpT store and other stores you've recommended, and ordered books from where you recommended (having a transgender son, I was excited to learn about Jack, Not Jackie). So anyway, I just found out 2 days ago that I am doing a hybrid class (I teach self-contained K-3rd similar to you), and will have 5 virtual (who have to be online with our class all day except for lunch and recess) and 3 face to face so far (and we only get 1 para). So now I am scrambling to get ready. I'm in central Florida, the Space Coast area, and we start on the 24th....so amid everything going on down here, I appreciate all you do and this very timely video.
OMG!!! I truly appreciate this! I too have had difficulty gathering data, and providing the minutes they need. Having parents assist in gathering data!.
Wow u are a life saver I’ve had these questions and no one could help me even get close to a answer. I’m a foster parent and I’ve been looking for ways to help my special education children to do virtual learning and to have it look a lot like the way their classroom use to function so thank u keep up the awesome work u are a blessing 🙏🏾👍🏾🥰
This has been SO helpful! THANK YOU! I have been flappin' HARD over how to organize everything, and this has been the most helpful video I have come across. TEAM ESE ROCKS!
Thanks so much for sharing these tips! I like the class google website idea and it looks pretty simple to make and easier for parents to navigate. Hoping to hear what my plan is soon so I can start prepping.
Love this so much! We’re using Seesaw for our kiddos and I really needed help figuring out the platform. I need to create activities for them especially my kiddos who have IEP goals so thank you for all the examples
You make it look so simple! I am hoping to apply some of this to Canvas. Our district has just purchased it and will be training staff the week before school, oh yeah! Love your videos
Boom is awesome! I use Google Classroom and insert hyperlinks for specific Boom activities into my lessons there. Now that Boom offers an option where you can import your Google Classroom roster into your Boom class and then have students click the "sign-in with Google", there are no more extra logins! :)
This is an amazing resource! I have been anxious about putting this together for my students this new, and didn't know how to make this user friendly for my special education students. This video has given me hope. Thanks for sharing :)
i have a 14 year ol specai need going to high school ( iknow is different curriculum ) here in florida where covid is to the orff i need help heres no home online clases just online for regular kids who wants to learn online but no the same very sad reading the news today first 16 year kid died in this city and school is about to start is going to be bad and parents have no idea how this covid is different ,i have family over seas and i know how bad it is .
This would be so helpful for me but I was lost. Technology isn’t my strong point. Could you maybe show us how to do this at a slower pace? I know it’s a lot to ask but I would like to do for my students.
I’m so sorry about that Robin. At this time I can’t make another video about this, I’m trying to work on my classroom. You can watch it at half speed or find another video that shows how to build it. Google also offers free technology classes. Your community might also offer technology classes that could help you acclimate to the technology better.
@@robinjohnson9342 I am actually going through it little by little as I do my website. And have repeated lots of parts. I had never heard of Canva (fun to play with) or done this before. After a while I had to stop and I wasn't even half way through the Google Sites part. I chose to focus on that. It can be overwhelming to check out too many sites or ideas at once. Hope that helps.
I have so much envy when I see how is west superior to our eastern countries, most of my kids parents don't know even to use phone properly let alone google , so all these knowledge is gone to waste, I wish I could help more...
Thanks !! For helping all Sped teachers learn something innovative..Am a graduate physiotherapist presently helping children with special needs as a sped teacher in ,from India .Interested to be in touch with u via mail .pls share your mail id. Your channel really motivates me..
I feel overwhelmed as a new teacher thank you for this.

absolute fav feature of seesaw is the voice instruction option or the option for the kids to record themselves!! so much more accessible for kids!

what do you use to edit your videos to put the cute intro and name pop up?!
I use iMovie or Final cut depending. I draw my animations on my iPad with procreate
I wish my district used google. We are using Microsoft TEAMS. But I will be using seesaw. I’m so nervous for this school year. Thank you
Thanks so much!
