I'll be honest, I think the dub is better for this fight in particular, specifically just because they got George Newbern to voice Hercules, and he does the exact same voice he uses for Superman. It works so damn perfectly with the characterization they gave Hercules here.

The guy in the audience is not Sherlock Holmes, which you couldn't really know becasue they didn't translate the nametags. That is Arthur Conan Doyle, the writer of the Sherlock Holmes books.

This fight kept me on my toes every step of the way and is the best fight out of all the fights so far in both anime and manga imo
Jack the Ripper is by far the coolest choice of fighters, one that totally came out of left field for me any way
The animation is definitely better than the first season. Just one giant complaint. They removed the whole buildup of Jack the Ripper's reveal.
Heimdall had a whole narration detailing his killings as we see the arena is old times London. And at the end of that narration we get the name drop. In the anime, it's just Goll saying Jack the Ripper in a disgusted voice
The reveal was already done at the very end of season 1 so they just didn't want to drag out his introduction again in season 2

This was one of my favorite fights in the series
If I remember correctly there’s a side story of the manga that explains that this Jack the Ripper isn’t even the real one
I was blown away with the first fight as a manga reader
It was one of rare fights you feel bad for the god. Ultimate good vs evil is pretty entertaining to watch, even tho good will always have limitations
Just to clarify nifelheim isn’t the underworld it’s just nothingness your soul is purged. In short you’ll cease to exist all together

@@quirkyquotareacts I know this is late but fun fact: in Norse mythology the ruler of Helheim is Hel, Loki's daughter, who he had with the giantess Angreboda alongside his oldest child Fenrir the giant Wolf and the middle child Jormungandr the Midgard Serpent (that Thor canonically killed)

There’s a new side story manga that revolves around Jack the Ripper which kind of basically is about him

suprise he uses the name but he is not the Jack the Ripper that killed the prostitutes instead he killed the actual Jack the Ripper
Also don’t know the translation wrong or not but fun fact his file number was case file N*001 and he’s Mr anonymous who decides to use Jack the Ripper name for the ragnarok tournament

And due to disney being stupid they essentily popularized hercules
Which is not how you say it in english
yup! me (jason) is very into the greek/norse mythology so Heracles is very familiar to me :) i'm glad they said he's named after Hera which makes sense if his real name Heracles was used.
