- I went to a charity shop, Primark, H&M and Zara to compare prices and quality of clothes. I tell you my opinion towards the end of this video. My aim is also to show you life in Leicester and what the city has to offer.
🐻 About Me:
My name is Anica and I was born and raised in Italy, Rome in 1998. I'm originally from Bangladesh and I've been living in the UK for 6 years, so you could say I'm multinational. I'm studying Adult Nursing at the University of Nottingham, but I'm probably going to be like those people who study something but end up doing something completely different as a career.
✈️ My UA-cam Project:
It's a research about me travelling to explore, interview people and tell you about life satisfaction and living expenses of different cities across the UK. This is so that I can find the right place to live. I hope this project helps you to decide where you want to live next too.

Back in the days when I lived in Leicester a lot of the very cheap clothes you could buy were actually made in small family owned factories in Leicester, then sold in the market. Some of these factories were not much bigger than a garage with a couple of sock machines in it. There was a whole network of these factories supplying each other, even making coat hangers. The rag trade was the big thing in Leicester at that time. I don't know if this still exists. In those days the Multi-fibre arrangement was still in place and there were even larger factories actually manufacturing textiles. I think that all ended with the end of the MFA.
Thanks for helping me with these Leicester videos. I get homesick :) It doesn't go unnoticed.
Not seen you for ages! Just checked your content last night. Welcome back
Haha Thanks.
I always go for charity shops.
Hi Anica! Can recommend the sue ryder vintage store on Loseby Lane for some quality clothes most of the time. (Also sales at M&S can be good for affordable cotton dresses or linen trousers) Thank you for sharing your day out.
Pretty in that last outfit black and white strips

Hello An.👋
Damn. Shoes for 14 quid is a real bargain. I got mine for like 45
Those I showed are probably not good quality shoes. I tend to buy mine at JD, Schuh and Office.
