Another one of the great 60's groups I grew up with. They started out as "The Young Rascals" but later were just known as "The Rascals". They were considered rock & blue-eyed soul. They had a lot of hits such as "I Ain't Gonna Eat Out My Heart Anymore", "You Better Run", "I've Been Lonely Too Long", "Good Lovin'", "Groovin'", "People Got To Be Free", "A Girl Like You", "It's Wonderful" etc.
One of my favorite bands ever! Felix Cavaliere is one of the greatest singers ever. Have u heard them covering Mickeys Monkey by the Miracles? Outstanding!!
Felix Cavaliere is one of the greatest singers ever. Also Eddy Brigatti does lead occasionally, great singer. Many very good songs Groovin, Good Lovin, People gotta be Free, How can I be Sure. Their in the Rock n Roll hall of Fame and surely deserve being there.
I’m 61 and I like to start my day with this song as I dance around with my coffee cup. The dancing gets my blood flowing and the melody really starts the day off right. ❤
Hello Sarah hope your doing well and healthy today love this song another great reaction by you again like always you always look so amazing beautiful today every single day on your youtube channel too thank you so much for sharing this video with us love it Sarah.❤️🌹🤗👍
I was totally enthralled by your reaction, Sarah. ❤ I would suggest you give a listen to "Good Lovin'" -- their first hit as The Young Rascals. You won't be able to sit still. 😉✌️
In the early days of rock and roll on the radio, songs were limited to around 3 minutes, this gave the radio station more time to play commercials. That's how the stations made money, the more commercials they played, the more money they made.
Young Sarah , there are so many gold nuggets for you to learn , hear, dig up Today is crap barren desert When we were young in age, there was just too much good music, we got spoiled now spoil yourself and ask old folks what one song they love,
I think what this gal picked up on was Felix Cavaliere's soulful writing and singing, which along with great back up vocals, and instrumentation, was based a lot on gospel, R&B and soul. Soulful group, serious musicians and probably decent people.
One of the most underrated songs of the 1970's was Bless The Beasts and Children, sung by the Carpenters. Back in the early 1970's we had to watch this movie (Bless the Beasts and Children) in junior high. I was only about 13 years old. As an animal lover I was traumatized by that movie! I cried for weeks. Even now, at 64 years old, I have never had the ability to watch that movie a second time. I can't bring myself to watch it again. But, when this movie was released in the early 1970's it touched many, many people very deeply. Even though I will never bear to see this movie again, the movies theme song will always be close to my heart! It's a beautiful song, the theme song to this movie. Just hearing the theme song even now brings back to my heart all the beauty and emotional pain that that movie portrayed. I will cherish this song as long as I live. Anyone who watches this movie today, needs to understand that the parts portraying the buffalo being slaughtered WAS REAL!!!! That was really happening back then. It broke my young heart! 💔
I'm 71 this is the best song to start your day off. going to work , fishing. get your blood pumping.
One of the best start your day feeling good songs ever written.

Notice the peace medallion. This is from the late '60s.
They were on the Motown label.
