@@RydogsGarage my father made fun of my truck when I first bought it. I put a street dirt track 3" leveling lift kit on her and 2" spacers with thunderer 33's. I also replaced all the springs with Moog R division springs, Bilstein shocks in the front with Monroe coil overs in the rear. In total between the suspension and tires I was able to lift the truck 6.5" with all the wheel wells perfectly even. She is just tall enough that I actually have to climb into it. I've done so much. Only problem is it is a 2004 and all the usual problems these trucks experience have and are happening. It is a labor of love and a money pit. Whenever something needs fixing I just upgrade it to the best I can find.
thanks man. i miss that thing. and being young lol. almost 4 years sense i parted ways with it already. but one of the most reliable things i've ever driven. next to my current cummins. but yeah you can fit pretty good sized tires on these without lift. if i was going to buy another one. i'd do a 3" front lift and 2" rear. longer shocks and front axle spacers. to fix the front axle shaft/diff angle. and 33" tires 1.5" wheel adaptors to a 6x5.5 so i can buy chevy truck wheels. the duratrac where a good tire! lots of grip. good wear.
Hey sweet rig man, I'm wondering if I can go up to 245/70r17s or rather 255/65r17s without a lift or will they rub on the ball joints on my 03 envoy? all i can afford right now is tires.
Rydog, would you go with the rough country lift again or something else? Also, do you need to flip the upper control arm w the 2” front lift? I have an 08 4x4 TB all stock w only 55k miles. Want to make a few mods and looking for some recommendations that aren’t too complicated. Your TB looks great and great channel, thanks for all the info.
Dave W i would not recommend. the style of lift kit it is in the front is bad. and the bushing wear out. i would get the SDT 3” front and 2” rear for $130 on ebay. and then 1.5” wheel spacers from Bora off road. and you can run a 32-33” tire. with that set up and looks and functions perfect.
Just got an 08 TB looks just like this but it's blue. Thinking about lift kits and spacers. Perfect video for my inspiration lol you're car is darker than the wheels. I get what your saying.
Lol 3 years later! Nice tb! I compete with mine in car audio so I gotta say something about the box ! 60htz tuning is what the port is tuned at? That is ridiculously high lol ppl who compete don’t even tune that high unless it’s a one nite wonder or a fart box .... the peak freq in the trailblazer is 46 ish so u definitely don’t want anything tuned over that! Just throwing more power at that sub in a box that is tuned wrong won’t help ! Js hmu if u want help! I can design boxes and make everything down to cut sheets so all you have to do is put it together!
that was so long ago i don't remeber what the box actually was tuned too. i'm sure it was not 60hz that's way to high and i'm sure i just had a fumble in the video.. i know i bought that sub in the box from a friend who had it built by the local audio guy in our area. so i know that box was matched to that sub. at the power levels i had it at. sounded great to me. no competition system that's forsure. but for a 17 year old on a budget 😂. the good ol days. joshua schlemmer it’s a LT and that’s how it came from the factory for 2009 other than me painting the front emblem black and the chrome trim on the grill black.
Hey bro. On your blazer, did you have to do any modifications to your upper ball joints or did your spacers completely take care of your clearance issues with your tires?
Brandon P. Santee on stock wheels. 1.5” hubcentric wheel spacers will solve all clearance issues with the ball joints. will alow you to run up to a 32” or 33” tire with a 3” front lift.
Rydog's Garage ok great. That exactly what I bought. Mine is lifted the same as yours 2” front and 1” rear. I’m running 32’s wrapped around my stocks (for now) with 1.5” spacers. Thanks.
Brandon P. Perhaps a dumb question, but would the speedometer have to be recalibrated after?? I currently have 245/65R17 tires on my TB but I’m getting some 255/75R17 tires soon too. Would that size upgrade be enough to require a recalibration?? Thanks
What are the exact things you did to get it where its at i have a 06 ascender which is basically the same shit but i like how your car looks so i want to know so i can just type in the things and buy
no the tires did not rub. and it’s becuase i had lift kit and the wheel spacers. If it’s hitting the plastic wheel liner you can just trim that. if it’s hitting the suspention you may need new wheeels or wheel spacers
martin hernandez you HAVE to get a 1.5” wheel spacer for the front only!!! I don’t have my rear wheels spaced out but I’ll buy the spacers soon!!! make sure you buy HUBCENTRIC spacers!!! I have eBay ones and they work just fine for the 6 months I’ve had them!

Yo I have a 2006 trailblazer and I wanna put a three inch leveling lift on it and swap to 33 or 34 inch tires! Will I need spacers cause I heard u mention that you can only fit 31’s without spacers.

Hunter Kalson yes you can put a 3” on the back but you will need longer shocks and also adjustable pan hard bar. and honestly with a 2” rear you need same thing. 1” is about as much as you can go before needing more than just the cool spacers. becuase it will throw off the suspension geometry. i can give you snapchat or email if you have more questions and want links to parts
Chris Hendershot 2.75” plastic pipe with several coats of high heat black paint. and that’s it lol. and you need a little breather filter for the front of the valve cover
