That's not a cryptic pregnancy, many people mix the word up. Those are called phantom pregnancies, they're a mental health condition/ delusion and can have no end time, being as there is no real child/ 40 week cap like in cryptic pregnancy cases.

Should she have said no I don’t want to hold her? 🙄

No, you cannot. A period is the discharge of eggs that have no been fertilized. A pregnancy is a fertilized egg. Bleeding in pregnancy can happen, but it isn't a period. It is literally impossible to mensutate during pregnancy
