This is beyond brilliant! I found it as I was scrolling through suggested videos from a dinosaur diorama and I thought this was for a scale model raptor. I was pleasantly surprised to see it was a life size head. Really neat. 💖
Fun fact:Velociraptors are actually around 1.5 ft tall, around the size of a turkey. However there are other species of raptor that are a lot bigger, for example, my favorite, the Dakotaraptor, it stands between 5-6 ft tall and 18 ft long, with a deadly 24 cm sickle claw.
If we're talkig about the Jurassic Park "Velociraptors," Then i would consider them as Utahraptors. Utahraptors have less bird like features, much like the Velociraptors in Jurassic Park. I'm not directing this as hate, I'm just stating my opinion.
TheDinosaurPugGiraffe I completely agree with you, I'm talking about the actual animal, I can't stop imagining them as viscous little ankle biters, still terrifying if you imagine a mob of them rushing towards you.

These templates tutorials are form into sculptures using upholstery foam and upholstery foam comes in various density from low, medium and high. All upholstery foam which ever the density is apply the same adhesive contact cement. So if you want to make a costume head project use high density on the section which needs support. This way it safer for the wearer I do have a few easy & inexpensive methods on costume eyes, will provide more details soon. Best--Boon

What brand of glue do you use? Could I use any type of contact adhesive or does it need to be a specially thinned down type to go through a spray gun?
Hi Brian... you can try going to a upholstery shop as they use spray on contact cement for all the foam works. I'm seriously confused... what are you using your video? PS if there's a way you can make it waterproof after making details and painting, please let me know.
Hi! Michael I using the common spandex you can also use cotton & rayon lycra found in t-shirts and yoga wear. You can either paint it on with a brush but for best results use a spray paint gun. Stay Cool!--Boon

Velociraptors were small turkey sized dromaeosaurs and were feathered. They probably looked very similar to a modern Bearded Vulture.
Cool!
but these are from a movie, so those inaccuracies don't really matter. A turkey is a lot less scary than a 9 foot giant reptile
