- Join me for a stroll around the Brimfield Antique Flea Market. We decided to take a road trip from Washington DC up to Brimfield, Massachusetts to check out the largest flea market in the US. We've wanted to experience this flea market for a while and boy was it an experience.
I can't even begin to explain how huge this flea market is. We went three separate days and I don't think we saw 1/4 of the offerings.
Be sure to watch till the end to see what ended up coming home with.

As to that hair receiver, it might be earlier than what was said on the sticker. It's from a manufacturer that was established at the beginning of the 19th century in a Czech town Stara Role, which back then was part of Austria and was called Altrohlau. Even though this manufacturer's porcelain was very popular, by the 1880s they got into some problems and the whole manufacture was sold at an auction in 1884 to the Moritz Zdekauer Bank (hence "MZ"), that's when they started to use that mark which is on your hair receiver. They focused on the export to the Americas, that's probably why the mark says in English "Austria" not in German "Österreich". The firm was then sold once again in 1909 and that's supposedly when they stopped using this particular mark. So that's how we can assume your receiver is no later than 1909, at least to the porcelain mark source I have. :) Unfortunately I'm no porcelain design specialist, so I can't assess exact date, thought based on the style it's probably safe to assume it's not pre-1900 and probably closer to the 1909. So it's not like it's super older than what it said, but I thought you might find it interesting nevertheless. :)
Also, hoooooolllllly goodness, what a market!!! I wouldn't be able to leave some of the bags and makeup!! :D
Oh my goodness! How kind of you to provide such detailed information. I kind of figured it was made or the British or American market with the English spelling, but I’m so glad to have more information on the company, thank you 🥰
We’ll be there in July ! ❤
I hope you have a wonderful time!

Very impressive! Are you able to get through the whole thing in one day?
No way! We went three days and MAYBE saw half of it.

Was that real Fiestaware red?
The pitcher? Yes it was orange Fiestaware.
