I’m a manager in an Aldi and I thought I would clear up a few things. 1) the reason why there’s no music unlike other supermarkets is because Aldi will need to spend money purchasing the rights for the music which they consider and unnecessary cost. The savings in things like this is put into the prices of the products instead which is why things are so cheaper for the customer. 2) also Aldi don’t want customers lingering around. Things such as music get people too relaxed. Aldi want customers in and out as quickly as possible to get more people in 3) wine of the week is all year round. The wine of the week deal changes every Monday
You really start the weekend off Hannah! Thank you for packing so much into your work, your energy and professionalism and a strong ability to tell things as they are makes your channel always such a pleasure to watch.
I work in Alid, and the prices are the same across all of the UK! The wine of the week change every week and the wine in the rack changes every month or so. Theres so much new stuff for January as we phase out xmas. Also the veggie / vegan stuff is mostly for veganuary. Love watching these videos!
As I'm a German born resident, it's always interesting getting to see, what "Aldi" offers in Ireland or the UK, compared to the, different, sortiment of groceries of "Aldi" in Germany. In Germany, they also offer milk, cheeses, sausages, fruits and vegetables ( ALL in organic quality ). I always do buy "organic" eggs, as they are animal-friendly, don't taste of fish meal, ( metallic taste! ), unlike the non-organic eggs ( fish meal is the food of non-organic kept hens, in a small cage, size of a DIN-A-4-sheet of paper, they put 4 poor hens in non-organic stables ( often cannibalism there! ), the organic kept hens are allowed to walk outside their stables, eat corn, grass, drink water, see sun- and daylight! Just some cents/pennies more for purchasing "organic eggs" ends animal cruelty, supplies better taste and supports the "organic"-hen farms. Dear greetings from Dublin, Suschka.🙋♀️😃❤️
A lot of eggs say “free range” on the box, but I was told they are not truly free range unless it says ‘Pasteur fed’ on the box (in UK) I only buy eggs now, from eggs sold outside peoples cottages.
@Wolfstar-z7d I'm lucky enough to live in an area where there's a woman local who has her eggs sold in the supermarket! Pretty cool because I know I'm buying eggs from a good source
Here in the States, our grocery prices are going up…not in cents…p…but dollars…outrageous!!!!! Your prices there are half of what we are spending here on the West Coast…
Wow, Aldi seems to be the place to go for bargains. Never been but I will give it a try. Fruit and Veg prices are especially good. I like the no music atmosphere. Thanks, Miss Hannah.
Show me architecture Hann , your descriptions and historical content you include is always interesting to me , plus as I've said before , your musical backdrops are always surprisingly well chosen ! , have a great weekend ❤
greens wise -yes we throw away a lot-heres a tip get a bullet blender and blend the spinach with a little water or other greens then you can make a soup put in a pan, add a little garlick, chili flakes , salt pepper- then simmer to taste! great way of using greens that are on the way out
Hi Hannah, thank you very much for fulfilling our request from a few vlogs ago about showing us the prices and range of ALDI products! Have a nice weekend!❤
Friday isn't the same without watching Hannah and her excellent vlogs."Oh gosh crisps,i love a crisp, cannot say no to a crisp"that had me going😂😂.I bet when Hannah finished her vlog off camera, she got a pizza.
Happy Friday, Hannah! Getting to enjoy today’s vlog much earlier than usual as we had plenty of ice and snow this morning and the city mostly shut down. Really enjoyed seeing the differences between UK Aldi and the US ones. The selection there looked much better (and fresher) than the one nearest me. Happy New Year to you and your family! Have a wonderful weekend and I’ll see you next Friday!
I don’t shop in Aldi these days but there are some good deals so maybe I should give them another go .. the trouble is I’m spoiled for quality by a local farm shop . Interesting video as always Hannah .
Great vlog Hannah - people don't enjoy the Aldi experiece - Waitrose shoppers turn up their toffee noses at it. I however think Aldi can't be beaten - for price and quality.
We -my daughter & I - love Aldi, Home Bargains..plus Waitrose, Booths & indeoendent shops It depends on what we want/need. . Our local Aldi in Didsbury is very popular with the boujee locals. One would have to be daft to allow snobbery to dictate shopping preferences.
I wouldn't shop at Aldi if you paid me, their stuff is just dreadful, cheap and nasty. I would rather pay a little more at Sainsbury's or Tesco and get food that is actually edible. But each to their own I suppose.
Another great review. Thank you so much. I popped into Sainsburys today... Among other things I bought jacket potatoes x6 @£1.70 (2kg). And hot cross buns, as it's almost Easter 🤪(that parking is horrendous) ouch!
You are just a wholesome, beautiful soul...whether it's shopping at Harrods for Christmas dinner or Aldi for the cheapest items, you are graceful and unpretentious ❤
Good overview of Aldi, Hannah. I'm totally disloyal. Get a big shop from Sainsbury's as I have no transport, then check out better prices items at other supermarkets. Mind you there is something going on with Arla or Muller produced milk and dairy supplied to supermarkets, except for organic. People need to be aware of what is going on and do their research so they can make the right choices for themselves. Thanks Hannah!
Hannah, all your supermarket and food shop 🛒vlogs are always so cool! And those products you showed look really good. In fact, Aldi has a really cool variety of products to offer and very good prices too. I also like their idea of adding "I'm New" to the shelf edge labels for new products. Wishing you a Wonderful Friday!!! 🙂😘💐🌹🌷
Happy New Year Hannah... This was another eye opener for a Canadian who is paying much more . Also, our stores don't have the multitude of choices your stores provide.
Our aldi in the United States is pretty cheap ! I don’t shop at ours because there’s always such a long line , they did remodel it but I haven’t been in it since they remodeled it , but I hope they put a self check out for 12 items or less ! They have nice flowers at ours, and good chocolate , I actually bought a sewing basket from there and I’ve had it for 4 or 5 years now , I only went there for my dad but he’s in a nursing home now ! So I just shop at our local grocery store Schnucks ! The only thing we had to pay for was a grocery cart for 25 cents but when you returned it you got your quarter back
This is actually interesting as we in South Africa get about R24 (Rand) for each pound and the prices per some items are cheaper by you than what we pay, after conversation.
I also travel to the 3red cheapest city in RSA after Jozi and ikapa ie.Etekweni and independent shops in outer suburbs, mainly run by Muslim business folk are much more reasonable especially with red meat and staples like bread and milk than Checkers,Pnp,spar,Woolies, food lovers etc which are mostly western cape based brands taking over Africa.❤😂🎉
This is why every Friday at 1 pm here in America is an event: turning something as simple as shopping at Aldi’s into a thoroughly enjoyable vlog as only you can do, Hannah. Your vlogs never fail to entertain (and inform). Hannah’s true food groups?Cheese, crisps and pizza. But, I was amazed at the size of your Aldi. Ours is half the size and doesn’t have anything like what’s on offer there (prepared food, mainly). It was fun to see you resolve to cook something (after saying in a recent vlog you would not). But, dare I say, absolutely hilarious when you ended the vlog with admitting you threw some of the basil away and the stir fry veggies were slimy. “I tried,” touched my heart. As for the vlog not being glamorous, well, it is you who makes the vlog glamorous. Thanks again, Hannah.
Absolutely brilliant video thanks Hannah -- I used to live there and that Sainos was my local shop: so good to see it again. Can't believe Aldi's in the old Habitat space! And wow did you just get 2.4M views in a month - incredible, and so well deserved 🙌
Thx so much Hannah for taking us to a London Aldi grocery store! It does look somewhat different from the Aldi stores here in Texas! I was hoping that all your choices were going to work out, but I saw your comments re the basil & stir fry veggies! Also, your weather looked very nice for this time of year & hopefully will stay that way for a while! Hannah I hope your New Year is off to a good start & things are going well! Thx for your weekly vlogs, & all the editing time & effort that it takes! Have a nice weekend Hannah & stay safe!!!
Interesting vlog Hannah, you have much more variety to choose from in Aldi Here, where I live, the supermarkets started selling Hot Cross Buns the day after boxing day😮
Yeah if I see baked goods which are not covered, I don’t buy them. Thanks for the video! My Fridays feel more positive after watching your videos always!
Great visit! I enjoy watching you no matter where you go or what you do. It’s as many people on here comment: It’s like hanging out with a friend. Thanks for taking us along. Look after yourself! Hugs. 😊
The prices look really good at Aldi! Slightly more in line with my own budget. I'm 6'4"ish lol. Hannah, I've begun to buy British cheese. Your influence. Wensleydale works well subbing for Feta in a Greek salad. Love, love, love you Hannah. Stay well healthy girl! 👍
Hey Hannah, Happy Friday! I really enjoyed your new vlog. You make shopping so enjoyable to watch! I hope you’re having a lovely evening and that your weekend is off to a great start. Stay warm-I heard it’s freezing in London too. It’s been super cold here in DC with snow over the past four days, and it looks like more is on the way tonight. I’m all bundled up! Take care and stay cozy! 💐🇬🇧❤🇺🇸💐
I wish we had Aldi in my country. It's so cheap! I love the choice of the veggie/non meat options and the VM is clear and clean. I also like the fact that there is no music. TBH I don't really throw away any food. I'm a one person household but still I manage to use all the food I buy. But I guess it's due to me loving to cook and being very creative with it. So if I have any left over leafy greens I just toss them in my curry, chilli or any kind of one pot meal a few minutes before the end.
Lovely Hannah, great to see you visit Aldi. The London stores certainly have more than us provincials. I have been an Aldi shopper for 30 years and have seen many changes in the products and the way you can shop. In the old days, cashiers had to memorise the prices, only your own bags and cash only. Aldi certainly makes a pension go further and lovely to buy British meat and support our farmers. I enjoy all your vlogs from afternoon tea to walks round London. It's like having you pop round for a chat and a drink, many thanks for yet another great year. Onwards and upwards ❤❤
@ normally you are right, but right now the Norwegian currency is so weak against £ and $ that you would have a ball in Norway with your pound sterling 😅
...and in Scotland with the Fun Police SNP and their minimum pricing which makes zero difference to an alcoholic but means I have to spend £5 more on a bottle of whisky where it is actually produced than I would anywhere else in the UK.
Hi Hannah, thank you for this, I don’t get out any more, but Aldi was one of my favourites. I'm amazed that you had problems with the basil and stir fry, they're usually on the ball with things like that, I wonder if it's because it's a local! Happy New Year lovely.
Happy 2025!..Here we go again..A great start to the weekend walking around shopping on a friday..don't forget to eat your fruit and veggies..lol..They only things I'm doing this new year is staying healthy..and watching you Hannah my darling!..Bye..bye..
Greetings from South Australia 🇦🇺 I’m an ALDI shopper 😊 It was interesting to compare what you have on the shelves & the prices. Flowers are so much cheaper there & you definitely have much more variety of products to choose from. Some prices were comparable when converted to A$ but for the most part, I think items are cheaper there. Shipping costs I’m sure play a part. Having said that, ALDI still is the cheapest supermarket here filled with our locally grown produce.
I love that you show us the prices of everything in supermarkets and shops. That way I can compare them with what they have in my country, thank you very much.
I love to know the cost of food in different countries. I was thinking I would move to the UK to be able to shop at Aldi ($5 for a mango in Toronto) but then you mentioned the ‘mouse’ and the slimy vegetables.. thanks for your honesty!
A single Mango at the Tesco supermarket I use locally to me in England is 95p or £1.90 for a pack of two. So for the two pack that's $3.35 Canadian dollars or for just the one single Mango it's $1.67 Canadian dollars. Tesco is Britain's largest supermarket chain.
The most important thing is to check the chemical content of the ready meals. So much better to prep your own meals with low salt, low fat etc. You can batch cook & freeze portions. Great video ❤
Don’t shop in our Aldi it bit small where as our Lidl is much bigger 😊 Nothing wrong than treating your self to some Flowers Hannah 😜 give some colour to The rainy days . Have a lovely weekend 🥰
Thanks Hannah for another gorgeous vlog! It was funny to see that the prices you have in the UK Aldi are the same in Euro over here in Germany! And I also like their codfish and salmon, but the chicken sausages aren't any good, at least, to my taste. Can't wait for next Friday, enjoy your weekend!!!
Parking at an Aldi in Wichita Falls is free, mostly place I've been to or seen like a major city with a convention center has pay parking.. at most around 5 - 9 dollars. Hope everyone has a good weekend, stay warm everyone, winter has made it's presence felt.
Another Friday evening in company of Hannah via her video. Bliss 👍😊, feet up with a cuppa and no interruptions. Nice to see a lower price point shop, very near to prices up North. Nice to see the "new range" not seen too much of them before. Normally do a Tescos online shop being a suffer of arthritrus. Must try to get out to other shops more this year (new aim). Have fun over the next week and look forward to your next vlog. Steve
I too, have RA so I get my big shop online as I don't have transport either. And that gives me the ability and time to mooch around other stores and get a few bargains!
Ever thought of vlogging the shops, markets etc in some of the major citys around Europe? If anything, it would be a nice comparison to how things are in London, not to mention, great viewing.
Yes l love the nuts from there walnut s cheaper there than any other supermarket ad the hummus too ad the dark chocolate fruits ad vegetables are great price too happy Friday thanks for your video have great weekend ❤❤
When i lived in Cornwall, Aldi's was on my daily walking route. So easy to do my walk one way, then going back to the house, i would stop at the shops i needed to get to. I really miss being able to walk to pretty much anything i needed, or if needed, take a bus/tube/train. I was in a lot better physical and respiratory shape while I lived in the UK for 18 months....lost from 14 stone to 8.5
We don't have an Aldi where I live in Arizona, and I have never had to pay for parking at a grocery store. I learned something new from this video. I didn't realize that we refrigerate our eggs because they have been washed!
I'd love to shop at Aldi, or Lidl, but none near me, and they don't deliver. Their brands are weird and unfamiliar though. Loving the no music policy. A peaceful shopping experience, yay! 😄
Hi Hannah, that wasn’t so bad at all, they have quite nice selection of fish, good portion too,you did a very good shopping there, love roses,my favourite, well done 10/10👏😘
To make you feel better your prices are approximately a third cheaper than what we are forced to pay in New Zealand. Those tea bags 40 for a pound omg cost around $6 in NZ (around 3pounds). Wish we had Aldi here.
Prices were extremely reasonable here as was the selection in the produce and prepared meals. Only thing I'd be concerned about is portion size as lots of things seem to be single-serve but I can definitely see the advantage of having ready-to-go sizes like these!
It's snowing here in Atlanta! So I'm excited for a Hannah video! I have an Aldi and a Lidl very close to my house and I like both of them. Weird that it's in a mall?
They may not have Easyer bits there yet, but here in the US, they were putting out Valentine's stuff as soon as thry got a bit of room.on the shelves that held the Christmas bits -yep three stores here did that, not Aldi though
Been in London since this past Tuesday, but haven't left my relative's new place yet..will keep this place in mind along with a couple others from Hannah's past vlogs..😊
🌩You change your mind quicker than Lightning! Hannah Darling. Saute mushrooms are great with most dinner meals. Wow, I had no idea about washing of eggs, so that's why we keep ours in the fridge. We are having our second Snow fall in four days, and with ice layers, nearly ten inches in total, have to shovel my driveway again, although I do have an attached garage. Stay on your food regimen! But do have a glass of red wine. That's just not right, making people pay for parking, just to shop, The stores should help. BUT, here in Missouri, we have to pay Property Tax on our vehicle every year, so for two years I'm paying $1500, but that also goes to schools, police, fire, and sewers and bridge upkeep. Have Fun You Happy Shopper, animal.🐬💜🐬
Your videos are one of the highlights of my week. Still remembering your M&S shop, noticed they were selling off white mulled wine at my branch yesterday - so helped them out by buying their remaining stock. Think you may have triggered a new addiction as really like it 🤣 Will go well with the Stollen German Christmas cake I bought at Aldi yesterday. Also bought a turkey joint. Christmas lasts a bit longer here 😂🧑🎄🌲
Enjoyed your trip around Aldi, Hannah! I noticed that they had a bakery section selling loose cakes and rolls like in Lidl but not in the Aldi near me!
I did us the Aldi Thai inspired Salmon steaks last night with jacket spuds and broccoli. They were reduced (of course) and pretty good skin side up in oven. We’re still working through our 8p Aldi potatoes, brussels, parsnips and carrots from Xmas. Love Aldi and Lidl. We’ve replaced most adored condiment brands with either Aldi/ Lidl wersions now, they’re equally good. Batts in Lidl, can’t go wrong.
Can't see the rest of that Aldi store, but it looks like the nicest one I've ever seen. When in London, I usually head to Waitrose. Can't help it, there's always one nearby. Will definitely consider Aldi if one is close by.
Hi Hannah 👋☺️. Thank you for yet another entertaining vlog 😁🙏. I live in Portugal and I very seldom go into Aldi, but ours definitely are not as nice as the one you visited. I thought that some of those prices were really good, even with the exchange rate. I do pop into Lidl regularly, i have a good one just around the corner from my house 😊. I loved the roses 🌹❤. Have a lovely weekend ☺️
I`ve only been to our (relatively) new Aldi twice.I don`t drive and it`s a fair walk! Everytime i went with my friend ,who does drive ,but i can`t say i was overly impressed tbh. The cold meats are worth buying but on the whole i don1t find them much cheaper than Tesco or the Sainsburys special offers. They catch you out on certain items ,i guess to make up for the deals:)..Thanks for sharing your experience with us.Enjoy your weekend.x
I met Hannah today on the tube! What a truly lovely person to speak with. It was great to meet you!
Lucky you 😊.

How fun!!
Lucky you!

Think it's nice without music; can hear yourself think!
Yes PRS is expensive so well done ALDI 😊
Also good for people who prefer no music eg suffering from post concussion etc.
Aldi for the win. You guys have my respect.
What better way to start a weekend than with Hannah popping up with a vlog?
I agree !!!!
Couldn't have put it better myself, so relaxing watching the lovely Hannah, from the comfort of my home 🥰
Awesome It's Friday with Hannah and it's time to see more of her shopping
trips to London's supermarkets have a nice weekend Lady Hannah.👋🧋🇬🇧

I'm a Waitrose snob ... but I do find Aldi cost effective when bulk buying stuff that doesn't spoil (household / cleaning items, beer, etc ...)
In Market Harborough Aldi is next door to Waitrose, so I go to Aldi first and then to Waitrose for the pretentious stuff.
You can't beat Aldi's , I shop there quite a bit . I've saved some money.
Thanks for sharing Hannah. Hope 2025 is off to a good start 🎉 .

Sainsbury’s have packed mince beef like that, it’s disgusting now, thankfully Tesco hasn’t followed suit.
Hi Hannah. The music on your vlog reminds me of music they played on Bullseye.
We love Bramwells for Baked Beans. Less sugar and salt in them
I am happy to see your videos again after many days ☺️. Sending 🫂from Fort Mill South Carolina 🇺🇸
Seeing your Aldi vlog makes me want to check them out. Thanks Hannah for another wonderful vlog and enjoy your weekend ❤
You so cheer me up Hannah. Thank you🎉 you asked what do we want to see. Mens shops would be great please👍
The Norwegians are crying seeing those prices on wine! 😂 Our starting prices on red wine is around £14😩
Your average salaries are way higher than ours 😅
@ normally you are right, but right now the Norwegian currency is so weak against £ and $ that you would have a ball in Norway with your pound sterling 😅
...and in Scotland with the Fun Police SNP and their minimum pricing which makes zero difference to an alcoholic but means I have to spend £5 more on a bottle of whisky where it is actually produced than I would anywhere else in the UK.
The “end of life” snacks made me laugh! But we know what you mean! 😅
Happy Friday everyone! Hope your doing well Lady Hannah and same with family. Cheers
I need to go see if Aldi has such good values over here, those prices are really good. I just love that they don’t have obnoxious background music on
Wow, that shop was cheap ! And a great selection of foods. What a contrast with Harrods. Nice to have the choice though. Thanks Hannah.
Thanks for showing the Vegan stuff. Enjoyed watching from the Caribbean...
I'm watching this while eating a spinach and avocado salad - crumbled Boursin over the top.
You’re such a vibe Hannah …love your content x
I love to know the cost of food in different countries. I was thinking I would move to the UK to be able to shop at Aldi ($5 for a mango in Toronto) but then you mentioned the ‘mouse’ and the slimy vegetables.. thanks for your honesty!
A single Mango at the Tesco supermarket I use locally to me in England is 95p or £1.90 for a pack of two. So for the two pack that's $3.35 Canadian dollars or for just the one single Mango it's $1.67 Canadian dollars. Tesco is Britain's largest supermarket chain.
There wasn’t really a mouse 😂
She was joking about the mouse lol!
My local market sells a whole bowl of mangos for £1, so about 20p a mango. Not all the time, but so cheap.
I love ALDI, a new one opened in my hood and I go 2 or 3 times a month. I am so jelly of the prices and inventory you have in UK. Keep shopping!! ❤
The most important thing is to check the chemical content of the ready meals. So much better to prep your own meals with low salt, low fat etc. You can batch cook & freeze portions. Great video ❤
Don’t shop in our Aldi it bit small where as our Lidl is much bigger 😊
Nothing wrong than treating your self to some Flowers Hannah 😜 give some colour to The rainy days .
Freeze basil and other unused herbs in ice cube tray either with a bit of water or oil…
Appreciate the editing efforts - thanks Hannah!
This was a nice trip. Good prices and lots of choices. Thanks for sharing.😊
Yes, do the book store!
Ah good Hannah another video to cheer us up in the f f freezing cold 🥶new year😊
When i lived in Cornwall, Aldi's was on my daily walking route.
Always a joy, and remains my Friday 'pleasant surprise'... But I'll stick to Waitrose! 😊
Another great video Hannah. Friday treat.
In Australia we have to pay more for food even after conversion to £.
The same in New Zealand, so expensive here and I find the quality is not that great any more. 😢
Have a great weekend! I always love the last little bits on your videos. I wish we had an Aldi in Canada!
Yes! The changing face of retail LOL
They may not have Easyer bits there yet, but here in the US, they were putting out Valentine's stuff as soon as thry got a bit of room.on the shelves that held the Christmas bits -yep three stores here did that, not Aldi though
Maybe, as the weather gets better, visit some more of London’s beautiful parks?
Christmas lasts a bit longer here 😂🧑🎄🌲
Really awesome vlog - as always! Been counting down the hours all day and you made it soooo worthwhile!
Enjoyed your trip around Aldi, Hannah! I noticed that they had a bakery section selling loose cakes and rolls like in Lidl but not in the Aldi near me!
Marvellous as always Hannah & thank you for sharing .
Also, you could do most of your shopping in Aldi, then buy a couple of bits in Sainsbos and get free parking.
Excellent 👏👏
Thank you for bringing a smile to our faces on a Very Cold Friday 😀❤️
If you value your taste buds stick with Waitrose or one of the other normal supermarket chains and give Aldi a miss.
I dont live in the uk and i find it so interesting to see what you guys have, we literally have like 3 aisles with fast, frozen or ready meals
Happy New Year Hannah -- looking forward to all your adventures.
