    about 6 weeks ago i woke up with foot drop for no apparent reason. I struggled to walk, i was unable to lift my foot up and had major weakness in the angle, along with numbness around my toes and the top of my foot. But now it has completely healed and i'm able to walk normally and have no issues standing on my heel.
    I have no idea what caused it , but my guess is that i damaged a nerve which could have been due to me sleeping in a strange position where there was pressure on a specific nerve.

      @@SaeboInc Thank you so much. I'm so relieved that it went. I was very worried that it would become permanent. One thing that i did was to never stop walking and standing, despite it being very difficult at times. I also did a lot of stretching and some other basic exercises. DR What's the general recovery percentage from foot drop?

    Only works if you have two good hands!

    • @SaeboInc
      @SaeboInc  4 роки тому

      Yes, this video was meant to show a temporary solution, but as you pointed out, you do need two hands and a little strength to use this technique. If you are dealing with one hand, I'd do the technique in reverse, starting with the two ends tied together, then criss-crossing behind your knee, then stretching it over your foot. Be carefull not to let go or ask for assistance until you can master the one-handed approach.

    How do you know which muscles are tight?i.e.Quads

    • @SaeboInc
      @SaeboInc  3 роки тому

      You have to have the knowledge of what joints and body parts each muscle moves. For example, the quads stretch over your knee to the lower part of your leg. When they fire, they pull the lower limb out straight, thus extending your leg. Talking with a health professional like your physician or therapist will easily help you determine which muscles have spasticity/tightness. - Dr Scott
