Thanks Chris, and welcome back, I'm amazed at the value in those keyboards, there must be millions of those in landfill around the world, I knew I'd kept some back for a reason ! I love the box/hardware cabinet, I'm sure someone will love that, shame about the tins, my Dad had a whole lot of the Erinmore Flake tins that he labelled up with the old Dyna-tape (1" No 6 Brass Round Head.. etc). Best find for me were the saw nuts and Disston "Medallion" matching sets go for good money on E-bay, often more than a decent old saw for some reason, I have a banjo oiler just like that one, that I cleaned up just the other week !
Also the yellow isn't from UV light it's from the bromide fire retardant rising to the surface of the plastic and oxidising. Putting them out in the sun for a few days will make them white again. The model M is made from PVC so they never go yellow and last forever
One mans junk... as they say! But in this case I'm that one man. lol The keyboards that didn't work with the PS2 converter might have been a proprietary pin out for an early network keyboard, it was the wild west and companies were trying to be the standard everyone else followed. You also get PS2 to USB adaptors, so you might be able to chain a AT to PS2 to USB!?
Hi Chris. I could use those thingamajigs screws for the old hand saws. I have a few old saws that are missing one or two of these. How much would you want for them, shipped to British Columbia, Canada, postage included. Thanks, Steve
@@TheUltimateRecycler I posted that before hearing your comment on you occasionally needing them. I don't know what postage is like from Oz to here. From here to there it used to be reasonable. I haven't posted anything to there for a number of years now though. IDK. These are a bit tricky to come by over here. I might do an in depth search soon though. Right now I am swamped with other projects. Thanks for your response.
@@mythar1 Thank you for that info. Yes, it is a bit steep for one item of low value. But if you can break that up between a number of smaller items it might be doable. Australia is not alone in charging high prices for overseas poostage. I don't know if it is fuel costs for air mail or some kind of charge between the different countries for handling foreign mail. I used to buy a lot of auction items online. One of the reasons that I stopped is the drastic increase in postage prices over the last couple of years. Again, thanks for the info. Now the question is how many of these badges and screws Chris is willing to part with, and for how much. Cheers
Those two at the end are for sure worth a bit. I'm not sure what kind of switches are in them. But that's what it's all about. Keyboards with "Alps" switches should always be worth 100 bucks. The industrial grey one is pretty cool

I remember Atebrin as a malaria medication.
Welcome home BTW!
Thanks Dee! Yes, we are glad to be home even though it was such a great trip! Nothing like your own bed (and dog!) 😊

Thanks Andy! I just checked the brass saw hardware and they do sell quite well! I haven't got any of this in the shop yet - probably this weekend 👍😊
Those keyboards are great. Was very lucky you had the IBM model M in that lot. 👍
Yeah, it's a shame it has some problems though. I'll try and fix it on camera 👍
Thanks for sharing
Thanks Cynthia 👍😀
The rectangular tin/box. looks like an old Band-Aid container.
Yes, you could be right! 👍
I don't know much about old keyboards, other than they were huge. I prefer a backlit keyboard myself. Hope they sell out quick for you.
I haven't got them into the shop yet Kayle - probably this weekend so hopefully there are buyers around! The good ones will be on ebay soon!
Good to see you back into it again.
Thanks John, we are glad to be back home! 😀👍

Interesting! I never knew that, I can see Chris offering a de-yellowing service! Now where did he put that sunbed?
Thanks Jason, great info! 👍 Martin, I'm fairly certain I don't own a sunbed - but you never know! 🙄🤣

Interesting! Thanks Martin! Yeah I figured not all keyboards would work with a more modern PC even if the plugs were the same!

Hi Steve,
I may have a few more around somewhere - but postage would be a killer I think!

@@2000sborton minimum international parcel cost is about $22aud with our postal service making selling overseas problematic for low value items.

Glad you're home safe. Has Coco forgiven you & Christine? 🙂
Haha, she forgave us straight after her first cuddle & treat! 🤣🤣

Thanks mate, I'll have to research Alps switches! 👍😊
