PK need to add Abrar, Noman or Yasir as spinners. One fast bowling all rounder (jamal or fahim), two fast bowlers. In batting Huraira, Kamran Ghulam & asad safiq may b included. Additionally, coach must be from Pak like mushtaq, misbah, younas, waqar, wasim, yousaf. Captain should be consistant himself and have already maintained 40 plus avg. Most important, players should adopt to any conditions. Merit must be the priority in the best interest of Pak.

Whatever success your pacers had after that, except for a few occasions, is basically because of lady luck or pitch/weather conditions like the one in Dubai 2021. There was no way Babar & Co. could score 152/0 without the helping dew conditions.
Also, they won both important toss against India and New Zealand where winning the toss and bowling first was the match winning decision. Afghanistan even after winning the toss chose to bat gift wrapping the match to Pakistan. In semi they lost toss and lost the match. The whole World Cup was tossia Cup..

Mohsin Naqvi is well meaning but is making rookie mistakes. He needs to realize purging rotten apples from the team is paramount for team morale and unity. It’s the same as getting rid of a toxic jerk from a corporate setup even if he can’t be replaced by a high performer in the short term. The team cohesion benefits far outweigh any short term individual-based performance setbacks. When England realized Kevin Pietersen was no longer a team man and hurting team unity, he was promptly sacked. When Australia figured out Andrew Symonds was eroding team discipline, despite his match winning performances, his place in the team was quickly eliminated. These are both examples of strong and farsighted decision-making curently missing in the PCB.
