Everyone talks about picking off seed pods but without pictures or close up video, I had trouble figuring out what they mean by that, me not being much of a plant person. Finally I know what the seed pod looks like!. Also thanks for letting me know about keeping the soil free of debris. Much appreciated! 8 years later I hope they look at this but I have a really top heavy hanging basket fuchsia. It's starting to look in funny in the center. are you supposed to cut those tops back a little?
I bought my first hanging basket a month or so ago and all has gone well till recently when we got hit with heat wave. I always kept it mostly shaded and almost watered it daily. now, with this heat wave, it all started to look real depressed. I know its known for cool temps, but how does one do that during the Summer months even without a heat wave. I brought it indoors into a air condition room and hope it would revive it...is that a possibility?
Mine has lost all its blossoms hanging in the NE corner of my property where it only gets an hour or so of morning sun. Starting to think that at 14.99 this is a gag purchase and no matter what you do to care for it - it’s going to die off.

When you pluck the seed pod off do you pluck the stem off too? Or just the little pod itself ?
