Lyrics:
VERSE 1 -
Lost in this city of fog rarely seen by the sun,
Just cos your both but neither doesnt mean that your none,
Never captains of the ship but they mistook us for some passengers
Now we're stuck here singing soul music from diaspora,
Your hosts cant relate to your sense of dislocation,
The type of pain that cannot be contained in a dissertation,
"Diaspora" the reason that the terrified are setting fires,
"Diaspora" the reason they couldnt jeprodise zephiniah,
Considered as a compliment if our beauty is fetishized,
Your history is power thats the reason some are petrified,
Colonial mimic, mascot crying behind a mask,
Or a man with amnesia trying to find his past,
Anthony walker never had a weapon but they still got him,
Stephen lawrence never had a weapon but they still got him,
Mark duggan never had a weapon but they still shot him,
They call them first world diaspora problems,
Chorus:
Don't you wonder what became of the children of diaspora?
Those that innovated in their ways and their vernacular,
Those that saw their traces in the faces of the massacred,
I wonder what became of them,
Tell me what became of them
Zoha Hadeed was a child of diaspora,
So fear not, fear not,
Edward Said was a child of diaspora,
So fear not, fear not,
Never bow to the Queen no,
We never bow to the Queen no,
Never bow to the Queen no, no, no, no, no, no
x2
VERSE 2 -
Since the middle passage either sink or you swim,
Bleach the pigment of skin and pray its privilidge trickling in,
But are we missing the link?
Diasporas the reason MJ did to his nose what they did to the sphinx,
And why Marley made the most classic of art,
The reason Gaby Douglas didn't put her hand on her heart,
The reason Malcolm Little changed his name to X,
The reason the Presisdent's melanin remains a threat,
Ahmed made a clock, they arrested him and mangled his name,
But the root of the word is to thank and to praise,
Racism manifests in many cancerous ways,
We must rally for change in these most tragic of days,
Cos Emmit Till didn't have a weapon but they still got him,
Tamir Rice never had a weapon but they still shot him,
Alton Sterling never had a weapon but they still shot him,
They call them first world diaspora problems,
Chorus:
Don't you wonder what became of the children of diaspora?
Those that innovated in their ways and their venacular,
Those saw their traces in the faces of the massacred,
I wonder what became of them, tell me what became of them,
Nina Simone was a child of diaspora,
So fear not, fear not,
Franz Fanon was a child of diaspora,
So fear not, fear not,
Pledge no allegiance to the flag no,
Pledge no allegiance to the flag no,
Pledge no allegiance to the flag no, no, no, no, no, no
x2
"Exile is strangely compelling to think about
but terrible to experience.
It is the unhealable rift forced between a human
being and a native place, between the self
and its true home: its essential sadness
can never be surmounted.
And while it is true that literature and history
contain heroic, romantic, glorious, even triumphant episodes
in an exile's life, these are no more than efforts meant to overcome
the crippling sorrow of estrangement.
The achievements of exile are permanently undermined
by the loss of something left behind forever."
Edward W. Said

As part of the Irish diaspora as a result of the same imperialism, I salute you, peace. Never bow.
My name is Ahmed and I'm in this video with the blue and orange t-shirt. Big up my brother Lowkey!
Peace and love from the USA!
Thought you died in his last song? This needs explaining. At 1m30s you're also slacking when the rest are doing push-ups
Does it look like I'm the Ahmed that died on the beach? I'm not the only Ahmed in the world. Do you know how long those push ups were going for and how tired I was before doing pull ups, sit ups, and dips...
+JeL101086 you're not funny, just an idiot.
iDrexciya
cool mate.
This is real hip-hop. I can’t get enough of the melody of this tune. This is top quality. Amazing lyrics too. It’s sad man don’t get the respect he deserves.
He is actually so inspiring, Over the moon that he is back
Nice channel, Halal
Peace and love is what we need. Crazy and sad what is going on by barbaric and Evil people right now. 🙏🏻.
She finally gone ❤️
This tune and ‘Ahmed’ are my favourite lowkey tracks. So powerful. Still gives me tingles.
We never bow to the queen !!!! Big respect to Lowkey

Man's got the talent of a cheese grater, agreed.
nah he has talent of a milk sqeezer
LOWKEY IS BACK MAN!!!
This is a beautiful music video!!!
Hard Bars!
Average bars tbh. Generic.
Ur nan works part time at poundland and gives bread to nittys.
+JD 171 Dream job tbh, safe.
np x
Wow! This is talent right here and many will be blind to appreciate it. Dear Lowkey You know you are Amazing Broda! Allah bless U.
George Floyd never had a chance but they still got em!
The many nameless victims that weren’t caught on vdo they still shot em.
+GlobalFaction what is lowkey saying at the start of the video?
dude with long hait at the beginning looks like malcom
i lufyoow iowcee
sind Hussain

Every single person on earth has their own story as rich as any film or book you've seen or read.
mad ting you're here
Indeed we all do ;)
You have impeccable taste in music danbull!
Oh man I really love Lowkey nh . Keep up Broda.
Didn't know Dan Bull listened to Lowkey, got even more respect for you now.
This is so sick man. I really hope this is not just a temporary come back. The world needs people like Lowkey. Let's push this and Ahmed as far as we can.

+33 hold this "L" dick head!!!!
+Carl Williams Your literally everywhere where I am.
+AAA AAA Lool ✌🏾️✌🏻️✌🏿️
+Carl Williams Respect.
i've always wished to live at the time where tupac was still alive,
so living at the time where lowkey was still making music is as satisfying to me!!!
Big up my yute!
💯
I kinda got to witness both
Fuck 2 Pac.Chuck D all the way
K Rino cant pick beats to save his fucking life
How INFECTIOUS is a SMILE? Humanity WINS everytime!
We never bow to the queen
Everytime I hear a Lowkey track I get chills down my spine.. Lowkey has always been my favourite MC from the UK and when the scene is flooded with bullshit, his message is needed more than ever!
Lowkey helped to empower me, Common showed me the light.
Kweli showed me that there's true value in sacrifice.
Dilla made me think twice so now you see I’m nice.
Opened up my eyes after black thought every night.
When I look at Will.I.Am I see money comes with a price.
So any way you look at it...
Hip Hop saved my life.
KnownEpidemic So true
This is such an underrated track. Even just the words "so fear not", that he repeats to say that there is hardship in dislocation and not belonging, but there is also the potential for greatness, of substance, to rise out of a diaspora and serve as role models for people who may feel lost or are actively being misled by others... So deep!
Well said. "So fear not" encapsulates the attitude of uncertainty many children of diaspora have. It gives hope and sometimes, hope is enough to allow someone to push forward through difficult times.
So fear not.
This line inspires me to become the role model you have described. People who grew up just like me, sons of immigrant taxi drivers, are on the streets selling coke while I'm at university. And my heart genuinely goes out to them, their lives are in a choke hold and they're lost to hopelessness. So much potential but all gone to waste. The scariest part is I could have been exactly like them. I've been exposed to drugs enough to know I could succumb to evil temptations. I know myself well enough to see my capacity for doing bad. I've been hurt enough to let out my anger on the world. There is no difference between me, who's going to secure a high paying job and ascend from working class to middle class, and the thug on the street. We are all the same. We come from the same struggle. I was just privileged enough to not fall victim like they did. For this reason I am extremely motivated to make the most of the life I've been blessed with cos I know how different it could've been. I am forever grateful for the life I have.
"Those who saw their traces in the faces of the massacred"
Thanks for letting me vent haha
Bless up🙏🏾
The only artist to not be corrupted by the industry
*One of the few not corrupted by the industry"
Immortal Technique
Lol there's plenty more out there bruv
A bit of an ignorant comment, there are loads of independent artists that are not corrupted, pick any on #GlobalFaction
lol dumb ass comment
I'm amazed at how long ago the last comments were posted... How has this not even reached 1 million views... People are MAD!!! HONESTLY, MAD, CRAZY, IGNORANT!
Shouts to Mai Khalil an underrated gem. Everytime her and Lowkey are together magic happens.
Truth.
💯 x
💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
we all need to apologize to lowkey for so less view.
Please.
I'm sorry brother
Lowkey you represent so many of us, the oppressed, the immigrant, the thinker, my fam left behind, Shokran habibi, you made a difference in my darkest hours. In sha Allah you can do a shout out to my beloved friends that died in Christchurch New Zealand mosque attack. Big love and respect my brother ❣️
I've never come across a more genuine music video in my life. I try to make people smile wherever I go and this transformation in people's faces is what I live for. It takes no effort to be a good person.
Long live Palestine 🇵🇸 ✊🏽✊🏿✊🏼✊️
if Aliens came too earth. I'd want Lowkey too represent us.
They the ones running the show bra unfortunately
Beautiful, Lowkey is something else. This is the pinnacle of Purposeful art.
It's impossible to not smile when watching this video.
This song is really beautiful. The children of diaspora are our brothers and we should help them feel empowered and prosperous in our country, regardless of where they are from or what their religion is. Their stories are so rich and we could learn so much if we just listened.
The reason lowkey has got everyone smiling is to show our humanity which was taken away by the colonialist
Can't believe I've been listening to Lowkey for 10 years now. The evolution from Keys to Game is unreal.
madness
+parkourviewer They were great mixtapes/albums, Lowkey has always been consistent.
that story to tell about the 2 brothers were something else
Reckon his albums are shit tbh.
+iDrexciya Not really. He's got weak albums.
much respect LOWKEY from MEXICO!! long live Palestine and all the oppressed people in the world
Lowkeys pulling more views then most people in the grime scene and his been gone for 5 years.
he isn't grime... its rap fam
Hassan Iqbal WRONG. its Political Hip hop and Grime.
+Hassan Iqbal gujar
+Joseph Stalin
To catogorize this as anything but great music is foolish
+Joseph Stalin don't categorize it
So lucky that you got to meet Lowkey in person
Love through and through for every brother and sister out there hustling for a better world. We will win. Goodness always wins
Why there isnt many views on this video is because Lowkey says himself he doesnt wanna brand himself. The big corporations dont want to spread the good word and if you dont give your soul to them and let them corrupt you and control you they wont give anything to you. Lowkey is pure. Pure epicness. Pure rap. Pure music. A pure person with a masterpiece of a brain. Every sentence he creates gives me inspiration.
i agree bro
Salute to GF, respect to the legend Lowkey and The Princess Mai Khalil, From Messed-up Middle East, Salam Alaikum Brothers and Sisters
wa alaykum salaam!
no music can give me chills like lowkeys tunes
A very simple but extremely powerful visual.
Made me smile 1st looking at the people in it smile and in seconds I got into the beat and drowned with mai Khalils humming, was saddened and tearing. Later it got me tearing while I'm smiling.
Gotta play it the 2nd time to be attentive to the lyrics
Another amazing track from Lowkey. Definitely much props to Mai Khalil, she killed her part
never bow to the queen nooooo
Amin K only Jesus Christ in the life
Just cos you're both but neither doesn't mean that you're none...☝🏾
Rest in Peace George Floyd🌹
everytime they smiled it made me smile too
Gay.

Me Too
I wanna meet Lowkey, Akala and Mic Righteous
P Money and Narstie to call him fat then leg it round the corner would be a bless day.
Suraj
Lowkey is now built and muscular. Very good looking guy.
Your bitter comments stink of jealousy lol
This is a middle finger to cultural imperialism. I’ve always felt disgusted by foreigners who have self-hate ... especially people who give an English “normal” name to a child out of fear. This is better than any hip-hop track on TV in the last 20 years. Real hip-hop!
So good to see Lowkey rapping again :)
It's like he never left... The world needs his music and I can't wait to see the legend in Bristol 😀
Bants, I'll be at the Thekla for Akala's as well. Wanna link pussyo?
lowkey you legend, god bless you and i pray to god to give you a long and prosperous life
lowkey is on another level good to have him back

#bandokay
It's so good seeing lowkey back tbh ❤️
LOWKEY THE REALEST RAPPER TO LIVE
Lowkeys proof you don't have to rap about pussy guns and drugs, by far the best the uk has to offer spits on real life issues (also akala)
Such a vibe. Powerful. Pure energy. Lowkey a genius. 🔥🔥
Try name me a harder rapper than lowkey! You can't....
Akala comes pretty close
Immortal technique - he's hardcore but amazing lyricist and all round hip hop genius
Immortal technique, vinnie paz, RA the rugged man are on the same level
Tupac
Immortal technique, Mic righteous and Akala come close but they ain't harder than Lowkey.
There's magic in his Rhyme. Where's it come from? Is it the pain inside from oppression depression or love and hope. God? Maybe it's indefinable inspiration. Maybe even he can't tell you. Bless you brother. You take our mind to elevated places
The mind, the soul and the heart - Lowkey
If only everyone could smile alot more at one another in the street, shops, parks or wherever. Imagine how much more connected we could all be rather than fear or be weary of each other all the time and constantly keeping ourselves to ourselves, disconnected or lost in our headphones or connected more to our mobile devices and staring at our screens as that seems so much like the safer options these days. Just for a few split seconds drop that barrier just enough to break that ice or put others at ease enough to respond back with a smile. That then could lead to conversations, new friendships, potential relationships or just make someone's day a much better and more uplifted one....Yet another lovely Low-key track that I've discovered later on with an equally lovely and uplifting video just showing humanity at it's most beautiful....
Love this lyrics love the song love the video. I love Lowkey I love GlobalFaction. Never stop doing what you are doing
Never bow to queen No, I am born and bred in Manchester and have been saying that line all my life, great to hear it on this track

Bloody hell Lowkey is back again!!!!!
This would sound WAY better if Lowkey's voice was a bit louder or the beat was turned down, its hard to hear his lyrics on this one, either way I am so hyped hes back!
So glad the king is back...
Holy shit i came here for his old shit and found this. I thought he was done!! So fucking sick. Never bow to the queen baby from canada
Damn, they should make Lowkey president, allow trump and clinton. Let Lowkey be prime minister too! We need more Lowkeys around the world.
Lowkey ur a legend akhi. Absolute legend! Best rapper to have ever touched the scene and can never be beaten, a truly gifted brother. Which 1 of u pricks said he can't do grime? 😂 I have the utmost respect for you my brother. The most beautifulest humble person to exist in this cold world. So inspiring.
