It hit me even harder listening again knowing what kind of place she was in. When I heard it first, I was very ill and the song was SOO soothing and sad to me but BEAUTIFUL.

there's some interview where grimes described art angels era as aggressive...and i think that's changed from aggressive to unapologetic. this is grimes and claire and everything in between them melded and distilled down into a singular sound. its cohesive but complex and multidimensional. its stunningly beautiful but it has its wonderful imperfections and personal touches. i love this.
Two weeks ago while I was withdrawing from Suboxone I kept listening to this song over and over with my headphones and I cannot describe what I felt but I’ll try...I felt healed, better, safe. Infinitely beautiful. A masterpiece. This song feeds my tortured soul like nothing else. I hope I never lose the feeling this song gives me. Peace and love to everyone suffering.
Love the late 90's vibe with this. Reminds me of Björk and the futuristic video concept in All Is Full Of Love mixed with William Orbit/Delerium/Enigma elements. Just delicious, industrial yet ambient space pop. Thank you Grimes.
I need a huge screen with epic sound, comfortable darkness displaying ALL of GRIMES music videos. They are so freaking awesome and visually beautiful. I love it so much I want to cry.
I wasn't that taken immediately when I listened to it, but now that I've listened to it about 50 times it owns my soul. Enchanting and intoxicating....
This song is my head cracking against a carpeted floor, with the blood dripping from my carpet into a mosaic of previous stains. A drill is whirring its way into a child's teeth.

I'm so grateful to live in n era where we experience this massive change of free Independent female Artists, growing up I felt nostalgic; But now I learned my lesson and I am happy as a women (of colour) to be able to do all the things I want freely. I know it's still a way to go but there was a definite change in the last 50/100 years. My Grandma (bless her) is still from that Generation that doesn't understand we are alive to life and not to work or be told what to do with ourselfes. an Artist like Grimes is such a Blessing
yeah, it really inspires people (specifically women) to become producers and make their own songs. if it weren't for Grimes I would have never summoned up the courage to start producing for myself.
@@minumeyli ah nice what do you do?? :) I've been editing and self producing for ages as well and i really related to her when she said in an interview once that that's her true passion. The song that plays as you see a huge comet approach earth until it hits the surface and starts to devour everything in its way. The end of the song is tge moment you take your last breath
No wonder I had that sense of intense soul searching tinglies in my heart, throat and lungs. Nice connection. Literally my favourite Grimes song but I can only listen to it when I'm feeling 'that' kind of way.
Funny you should mention that. Life in the Vivid Dream was my fave song on Art Angels by a pretty decent margin, and while I still miss the Halfaxa/Visions sound I do recognize that it was under-produced and rough compared to this latest iteration.
This song has so much. That base. It’s heavy it’s funky and the ethereal vocals. I’m transported thru the cosmos and it’s a cool adventure it could’ve been 10 x longer So I looped it
Grandma loves Grimes!!! I've never been stuck in any one genre, but I can be a bit of a music snob at times and tend to fall back on the oldie but goodies when I lose faith in the newer generation of music makers. I found myself curious about this creative young woman and have to say I'm so glad I was! It's always such a thrill to come across such a talented artist. This music takes me places emotionally and fires up the imagination. Truly beautiful. Feel so proud she's a fellow Canuck and I hear she's also a gamer...that's awesome eh! I'll be thinking of her when I'm button mashing. 💜🤍💜
When we listened to cassette tapes back in the day, you could quite literally wear out a song (sometimes the entire tape). Good thing for technology. Never such a thing as a self-inflicted overplaying of any song, it's when others force you to listen to s**t you hate. there's some interview where grimes described art angels era as aggressive...and i think that's changed from aggressive to unapologetic. this is grimes and claire and everything in between them melded and distilled down into a singular sound. its cohesive but complex and multidimensional. its stunningly beautiful but it has its wonderful imperfections and personal touches. i love this.
This first 1:10 has Bjork soundscape influence all over it.
I’m having this played at my funeral and then again at my rebirth. Out of this world!
branston pickle yessss MOOOODDDDD
Don't forget to play it in the inbetween aswell
I discovered this song a month ago and i feel like "where was i 10 years ago?"...I'm in love with Grimes now. She hooked me.
Literally I have the same story
There something so lonely and distant about this song, but in the most beautiful way.
Fingers crossed that Grimes does a tour in 2020.
Edit: This comment aged horribly.
yes ;; i hope for italy
Hell yes
I'd rather She tours when I have enough money to travel T_T
and that she comes to Sweden
Please Russia
here everyday to see people falling in love with this song
And I've listened to this song hundreds of times since then. Thank you grimes
You can literally hear the smoothness of destruction in this
That is SO D E E P! (No pun intended.. originally) 😆
I really get some "Halfaxa" vibes in this
Two weeks ago while I was withdrawing from Suboxone I kept listening to this song over and over with my headphones and I cannot describe what I felt but I’ll try...I felt healed, better, safe. I felt like this song was opening my pores releasing the poison faster. Lol sounds crazy but I’m dead serious. I love you Grimes
Melissa Renee wishing you well and sending you healing, loving energy! 💖
Wishing you well, I’m on my way there soon after a surgery. Going to have to remember this song for that time.
Pink Berry I hope all goes well and that you recover ASAP!!! 💗😘💕
can't explain what your comment means to me right now - cleaning myself up (pills) once again after a relapse 3 yrs ago, just getting into heavy withdrawal mode. had been listening to this and delete forever on loop - that one is even more perfect. and sad.
bout to get ugly for the next few days. wish me luck!
d1p70 sending you loving, healing energy!!! 💖💖💖
i love how she left a message that you should listen to this with earphones or a good bass system (she's right as well)
I didn't catch it?
Anna at the end of the video description, she included a little bit about how the song is “best absorbed”
hell yeah, that bassline was like listening to a new song that was lost on my tinny laptop speakers
Massive difference between headphones and regular speakers. Would recommend headphones.
this song....took me to another world
Infinitely beautiful. A masterpiece. This song feeds my tortured soul like nothing else. I hope I never lose the feeling this song gives me. Peace and love to everyone suffering.
I wish I could ease your pain but I know your Pure Essence can and will xx
Listening to this is turning my blood into wine
235629 single moms want to know your location.
I can't help but agree with you.
ikr
I can do that too, except through my mouth.
ok jesus
Love the late 90's vibe with this. Reminds me of Björk and the futuristic video concept in All Is Full Of Love mixed with William Orbit/Delerium/Enigma elements. Just delicious, industrial yet ambient space pop. Thank you Grimes.
Yes, I hear Ray of Light album in here.
bjork is my favorite female singer, but this grimes song is my favorite female song. =D and she's pregnant by Elon Musk. oof.
@M D you have a pretty face. keep it up =D
Yess I love all is full of love's video
@@malfunctionnnn nice. that video's like 20 years old, way ahead of its time'' =D
I am so completely overwhelmed ... swallowed ... by what I assume is love. I am being absorbed by this track. completely
I need a huge screen with epic sound, comfortable darkness displaying ALL of GRIMES music videos. They are so freaking awesome and visually beautiful. I love it so much I want to cry.
This record is going to be crazy!
This song is so beautiful, I don't think I've ever heard music that feels like it literally reverberates through my body and soul like this does.
HOW DID SHE MAKE THIS? THIS IS BEYONG COMPREHENSION
I just can't wrap my head around it
Perfection
I wasn't that taken immediately when I listened to it, but now that I've listened to it about 50 times it owns my soul. Enchanting and intoxicating....
This song feels like a warm shower on a cold day
Both of these descriptions are accurate.
This song is my head cracking against a carpeted floor, with the blood dripping from my carpet into a mosaic of previous stains.
A drill is whirring its way into a child's teeth.
Indiligence delightful
Ehm... I was doing just that... It's very cold outside and I'm having the hottest shower . LmaO
Can that be a genre?
This is one of her best songs. Simply majestic
Oops I accidentally listened to this song on repeat for the next month
Meghan Zentzis same
😂😂😂
ahahahah same, I'm laughing now but going to sleep with and waking up with the same song, and not anywhat song this song is weirdly depressing, I am literally dying inside.
lol. me too. just woke up and the first thing i had to do. plus i listened to it non stop last night. like, literally non stop. with birdy nam nam's, hammerhead thrown in here and there. nam nam and grimes go really well together.
It’s weird eh! She’s the only artist who writes songs that should never end
It is a wonderful world and we can manage to heal and work together trough this. Trust the process
I am 56 and I like Grimes.. love New Age
@@KenericTheGeneric yikes
a 🖤 wonderful 🖤 time 🖤 to 🖤 be 🖤 alive
yeah, it really inspires people (specifically women) to become producers and make their own songs. if it weren't for Grimes I would have never summoned up the courage to start producing for myself.
@@minumeyli ah nice what do you do?? :) I've been editing and self producing for ages as well and i really related to her when she said in an interview once that that's her true passion. For me it really inspires me to stop actually caring about others telling me to stop my work bc I realized that I have a weird taste anyway and would rather live it out authentic and creative instead of molding myself into someone else's music or art taste.
Братан ты запостил кринж от тебя уйдут друзья
The song that plays as you see a huge comet approach earth until it hits the surface and starts to devour everything in its way. The end of the song is tge moment you take your last breath
X getting bullied at school: your mom so heavy she fell through the earth
laughing so hard rn
your name though
Okay I'm gonna use this lmao
he prob won’t go to normal school cause Elon has his own school thing
But seriously, what the fuck is your username?
I feel it grimes, 2020 is around the corner, we need more futuristic sounding pop music
>2020 is around the corner
shit you were right, wtf
Reminds me of Life In The Vivid Dream and I'm here for It.
No wonder I had that sense of intense soul searching tinglies in my heart, throat and lungs. Nice connection. Literally my favourite Grimes song but I can only listen to it when I'm feeling 'that' kind of way.
Funny you should mention that. Life in the Vivid Dream was my fave song on Art Angels by a pretty decent margin, and while I still miss the Halfaxa/Visions sound I do recognize that it was under-produced and rough compared to this latest iteration.
its the same sort of "heeeeyyyyy oooooohh" lead in to the chorus haha
the movie "the mother" brought me here
This song has so much. That base. It’s heavy it’s funky and the ethereal vocals. I’m transported thru the cosmos and it’s a cool adventure it could’ve been 10 x longer So I looped it
She's a fairy of mars
love this^^
And so am I
And wife of Musk :D
when she said "heyyyy ohhhhh" i FELT that
As I am still going through waves of mourning the loss of my mom this song is so healing for me right now. Thank you. ❤
I can't get enough of this song. No matter how many times I listen to it.
Her songs are always these experiences that you can’t describe in words
This song had a strange effect on me. It pierced my shields and left my emotions raw, there on the surface.
This music has one of the best feels and sound anesthetics of all Grimes' songs in my opinion. It's so great, such many layers of amazing.
Her voice is heartbreakingly gorgeous in this song. It’s a perfect progression. Absolutely perfect. Also the guitar is cool ❤️
Me after eating my 40th Olive Garden breadstick.

Fucking killed me YeRae
This is so spiritual, grimes you’re music helps me through my darkest days.
I don’t want to ruin this song by replaying it,,, but I can’t help it 😩😭
It's not one of those songs you can ruin just by repeating it.
That's what I thought I would do to Violence, but it's pretty resistant
@@jordanq2201 damn.
When we listened to cassette tapes back in the day, you could quite literally wear out a song (sometimes the entire tape). Good thing for technology. Never such a thing as a self-inflicted overplaying of any song, it's when others force you to listen to s**t you hate.
That f**king Mariah Carey "All I want for Christmas" song got stuck in my head for about a week straight last month. Grrrr.
GreenDaddy lmao when I die all I will remember is that damn Mariah Carey song!
I could listen to this for hours.
Ikr..all day...
Literally me rn and my family be like "are you okay"
