Live your demos about everything Ampeg. Just bought a brand new version of the SVT4Pro and would love to see an updated video about this stunning head…. Some features and settings have been updated. Eg No mono bridge cable required now.
Just saw a revised [5/12] version of the manual which has the 'bridged mono' center jack wired 1+, 1-; I wonder if they changed it because hooking up the wrong cable causes damage--like what I see on the older '1+, 2+' model on my bench, which was hooked up with a std 1+ 1- cable...I guess acesblackvideos has a newer amp, and a 1+ 2+ cable would have simply not worked.
Hey Dino, do you recommend using a mono bridged cable for other Ampeg amps as well? I just recently acquired a SVT-2 pro, however I'm still in the hunt for a cabinet and a cable. I plan on using the speakon output on the amp as I've heard great things about them. Any other advice you can give me on these cables would be great as well Thanks, Andy
The 810 runs an AVERAGE of 800 Watts. There will be certain peaks that go above 800 Watts, so having an amp that has more than 800 Watts can withstand those peaks. But since it is 200 Watts more, don't crank it up too much or you'll damage your speakers since your amp is pushing more power into the cabinet.
What are you talking about with tip and sleeve? you mean red and black/pos and neg? Would have been much easier to follow what you were talking about with a wiring diagram. I cannot seem to find a wiring diagram anywhere. how hard can it be?!? two wires!

How about the 8 Pro?
Im thinking about getting the B4R head, would it pair well with the Ampeg 8x10?
What kind of speakon cable would you recommend for a B2RE amp?
On my S4 Pro, if I'm running two cabinets "dual mono" should I use two mono bridge cables or two regular wired Neutrik cables
they'd probably recommend neutrik but it doesn't matter.
Thanks!
i have a crown xti 2000 and a jbl mp255s sub ,they take speakon cable i whant to bridge it so i can get the most out the amp how can i do this with
+jay wreak You'll want to get in touch with Crown/JBL so they can help you out with those products.

Tip and sleeve refers to 1/4" TS cables. The kind that headphones and electric guitars used.
Why the hell are these things so hard to find and when you do find them they are over $120.
on an svt4pro
isn't that 200W to much though?
