Easily one of my favorite shoes of all time. I wish they kept the bronze colored laces instead of going with the olive, but overall I can't complain about the release.

talk about a straight fire and classic colorway. fire pickup. crazy that they actually brought them back . i need to add these cause I've always wanted them the price really hurts but worth it. the colorway is perfect and storytelling it's a 10 . midsole is ridiculous especially the blue hits pop . the packaging is also A1 they always hit it out the park ✊️🙏

Got mine! Great pair! Copped from Concepts which was surprisingly easy. Didn’t mind paying for shipping to ensure I got em. Didn’t want to take a chance by only relying on New Balance site. In my Top 5 this year!
Just spot check with whatever protector you planning on using. These are nice. It seems like they reserve special materials for the 998. The quality is okay. The side panels on mine aren’t exact and stitching is a bit off. Not terrible but not perfect. Hope the bring back the j crews 998s.

I have one grail 998, that I'm thinking about getting this holiday season.. it's my favorite 998 of all time.. it's the KITH Frank Lloyd Wright. I got my favorite pair of 990 v3's in the mail today. I had to get them they were my 990 V3 Grail. The ycmc trailblazer collab. Had to do it for the DMV, I'm sure you know that's where you're from, they pretty much started New balances. In the early nineties I was in Job corps in Philly and it was a bunch of DC Virginia Maryland cats. All I knew then was Jordans and Tim's an Air maxes.. and all those dudes were rocking were New balance. New balance has been my favorite shoe and the only thing I've been collecting for the past two years pretty much. But watching your channel makes me want to start grabbing Js again too, and dunks. If you don't have a pair of 990 v3s in your collection you got to grab some. Once I got my first pair it became possibly my favorite shoe of all time. Definitely my current favorite. 990s in general v2-v6 :3 and v4 being my favorite.
@BREDNBUTTER mine are kinda tight across the top of my toes where that reflective materials are just below the lace holes at the toe box. Did you think they were tight there?
Great vid Butter! These things really are gorgeous. You know, if you like the 998s I recommend those Frank Lloyd Wright 998 joints that dropped earlier this year. I bought them to flip and then there was no secondary market so I just ended up wearing them and bro, these are legit the most comfortable shoes I own. I think it’s because I have flat wide feet and the long/roomy toe box along with the flat arches just feels really good on my feet vs something with a ton of arch support. Would love a follow up on this one when it’s dry outside where we see some on feet looks, get some comfort/sizing thoughts, and maybe some different lacing options. I think I’m going with that dark green set. Also - favorite Grateful Dead album/song? I’m a big fan of that Red Rocks in ‘78 performance and Wharf Rat always does it for me.
