I still really don't see the new cameras being so much better than the GH5. Sure the Z9 is great but it cost $6,000 for the body, thousands for the lenses and the both the body and lenses are huge. As someone who is getting into hiking and more outdoor travel the weight savings of micro four thirds is huge. Lenses like the 15mm F1.7 that weight only 140 grams is a game changer, a pro quality lens with a fast aperture that weighs basically nothing. I can fit my GH5s with that lens in a small fanny pack while hiking.
The GH5 is still my main camera and I bought the Lumix S5 a couple of weeks ago! In some aspects the GH5 is still much better than the S5! For example: unlimited recording time, no crop in 50p, 400mbps internal recording, better ergonomics, better IBIS, cheaper lenses and the list goes on.. I think that a good camera is the one that you're comfortable with using and that's certainly the GH5 for me! I'm in the headspace that there's so much more that I need to improve before I need to improve my gear. Thanks for another great video! Just subbed, don't know why I haven't before. I also just got the S5. It's a very good camera. For the price amazing. And it is in my opinion better because of low light and full Frame lenses. Also Good for Photographers :)
I almost pulled the trigger on an S5 as well, but the compromises you mentioned stopped me. For now it's GH5 for me until they release a Full Frame that has no compromise. I almost went with the Sony A7IV but it has the same problems as S5 - rolling shutter, cropped 60p4k and worse ibis than gh5
@@reflex-uk Yeah, I know what you mean! Since my post I’ve bought another S5 and thinking of selling my GH5 for a GH6. I love the IQ coming from the S5 but lack of unlimited rec time, micro hdmi and other small annoying things is making me think of the GH6…
I just bought GH5 in 2021, December for the first time. Still learning it, coming from CANON EOS 700D and SONY A6000. I felt the DR, Low Light, and Focus is a bit worse than Sony A6000. However, the colors, ibis & image quality is super notch. Overall I’m liking this camera. 👍🏼
The colors on GH5 are amazing and such a joy to work with VLOG in post! Moving from Canon to GH5 is a massive learning curve. You really realize how much Canon babies their customers in terms of settings
I do agree with your take on the stills side …I guess I’m a die hard LUMIX user so whatever photo capabilities the GH5 lacked - for me in my workflow and scenarios - the G9 filled the void for me, I’ve also been super privileged to have the incredible Leica lineup of Panasonic m4/3 lenses - and in that instance I wouldn’t want to move to another platform…I was a Canon shooter for 18 years and the Panasonic m4/3 platform literally helped me diversify in my career as an Indy creator.
I agree with much of what you say. I’m a G9 user and in good light get some incredible photos. I’m mainly a stills shooter though. Build quality on G9 is second to none. Freeze proof even. Everything is solid, strong doors no flimsy flaps and full size HDMI (heat that Fuji XT4?). So I’m waiting to see GH6 and if there’s not enough advancement I’ll look at the upcoming Fuji XH2. Both brands are great build and feature packed PLUS reasonably priced. Take care.

GH 5 is still an amazing camera, I shoot on just about everything and STILL five years later come back to the GH5 for video work especially at the price point. I agree it's a bit weak on the photo side and if you're willing to make sacrifices on the video side there are better offerings out there that are still great video cams with much better photo options. For my personal cam I actually went over to a Panasonic S5 which is basically a smaller newer GH5 but with a full frame sensor and much better photo chops. Pro to this is it has all the things I love about the GH5, con is that it takes bigger heavier lenses that are on a new system so they're hard to buy used. I feel like the S5 really was panasonics answer to people asking for the GH6 initially, but because of the different lens system it wasn't met with the same fanfare so now they're circling back around to the gh6. But yes I agree GH5 still well worth it in 2022, I think it might be a little over priced these days tho, but that price will come down a bit when the gh6 hits.
Just wait 1-2 months and the GH6 will be here...don´t panic and change to Fuji now - after you have waited all these months already - maybe the GH6 will be way better. For photo you could consider the G9 or an Olympus M1 :-) I shoot video with the GH4/GH5 and photos with my good old rocksolid DSLR Nikon D7100. I have considered changing to Sony A7-series several times, but now I will wait and see what the GH6 can do. It´s on its way and will be here in just a few months...if it does not live up to all the expectations I will maybe consider going for another system - but I will keep my GH4 and GH5 anyway.
GH6 will be uncovered - Feb 22/2022. I was close to switching to the XT4 for video but I really didn't like the ergonomics, weak ibis, no unlimited recording and no video assist tools. Pros and cons to both. Fuji color is nice though but I'd wait for the XH2.
GH5 is my BFF, the video is everything, but low light can be frustrating - but one way around that, was buying a prime lens with 1.7 aperture which helps at night.
I've been a fanboy of canon for a long time.. the autofocus makes life so easy. But.. as you know canon seems to just not care about either the photographer or the videographer. They seem to hold out on many things we want, now I'm looking elsewhere the the GH5 mark 2 but also Fuji.. really don't know where to go but 4k 60fps is a main for me.
I am very satisfied with my GH5. The only thing I would like to see improved is the autofocus. Otherwise, it provides wonderful video material. I really hope Panasonic's camera division survives. And I hope that the GH6 will be released soon. Not because I need them fast. But so that MFT has a future.
Great video, love seeing these each and every year. However, I laugh when someone says if the newer GH6 isn't released, might change to another camera. That's EAD (equipment acquisition disorder) type talk. Granted, Atomos Ninja V added to my rig, but I've yet heard a compelling reason to move beyond ProRes HQ 4K 60P 10-bit 422 with a great manual focus (can still press that AF button in MF to lock focus on a subject, absolutely no pulsing of any kind). Never had a need beyond 6K when Anamorphic so 8K or 12K doesn't impress me much and actually concerns me for storage costs.
I use the GH5 for video and the XT-4 with prime lenses as my main photography camera. I’ve started to do video with the XT-4 and must say might be switching to it full time. Looking forward to your videos if you ever make the switch. All the best man.
I used the Fuji system for my channel exclusively for the past two years... They're amazing. One downside is that the battery life is abysmal, and the recording limits are no fun... but you're completely right about the colors and the photo abilities. The lumix looks like 5% better on video, even the 1080 looks better, but for stills it's no contest.
I will wait for the GH6… the Video capabilities will be amazing, I’m sure. I love to work with the GH Cameras and would be difficult to live without the amazing IBIS, the easy setup and Menu. Fuji is great but Not so great as the GH6 will be.
I totally agree. Still killing it with the gh5 I have 2 and still recommend and buy it for our chairity. But honestly need gh6 to step up with photo and autofocus. So let's see. So invested with lenses now...Sony with overheating in long recordings and very expensive to invest in feel a bit stuck
I hear you! I hear EVERYBODY talking about leaving the M43 system because everybody wants Mega B O K E H which I'm am so freaking sick of hearing about or they just want some new toys I'm guessing! ! Also, the little things like autofocus which people make sucjh a big deal about when they are buying these cameras for video anyway and pro shooters pull focus manually anyway! Well WHY did they buy the the Lumix M43 system if they new this? People are getting lazy and think that Sony and Canon can do better but they come with their own issues I guarantee it! I have been using the GH4, GH5, GH5s and the G9 professionally for a few years now and we talk about change too but for ONE reason! EVERYONE is abandoning it because of all the negative hype! Let me say this too these Lumix cameras NEVER disappointed and every customer/client we deliover to are incredibly satisfied wilth the products that we give them from these things! Hell, It all is going to be viewed on mostly small screens anyway so why buy a jackhammer to drive a tack? I think there is still at least 3-4 more years left before the industry considers a change that will force the M43 system out of play! Until then, I'm holding tight! I'm just damn tired of spending money on gear every 6 months! Cameras used to last! Nothing does anymore because of social media!
Just sold my X-T4 for a used Lumix GH5! The main motive was how much I missed the natural behavior of the IBIS in Panasonic cameras (I used the G85 & G95). IBIS in the Fuji was very jerky and with noticeable wobbly distortions (even at a 200mm focal length!)
I have been debating whether to upgrade my G85 to a GH5. I can't justify it right now because I rarely even use my G85 since it's a secondary camera to my OM-D E-M1 Mark II. The GH5 has so many useful features for professional videographers (which I am not). Even though I'm perfectly happy with the video quality I get out of my existing cameras, the GH5 offers extra things like an XLR adapter, a headphone jack (unlike my G85), unlimited recording (unlike my E-M1 Mark II), dual UHS-II SD card slots, 4K 60 fps, 1080p 180 fps, and all of the assist tools like waveforms and vectorscopes. And, of course, it can shoot 4K in 10-bit 4:2:2 internally, something my cameras can't even do with an external recorder.
another year another GH5 review :D But seriously, I was almost about to pull the trigger on some full frame upgrade. But every camera I looked at had some sort of weird compromise - and would be a downgrade in some areas. I'll wait until a Full frame camera comes out that doesn't compromise anywhere. Until then, GH5 is my baby still edit: I also looked at the Fuji XT4 as well and it's impressive, but it's just too similar to the GH5 to warrant switching and adopting a whole new lens mount. If someone however wanted to get into cameras and asked me what to get, I might recommend the fuji
Gh5 is my first camera ever i bought it last month. Its second hand but it is amazing there still no camera close to it . You can get a decent offer if u research some 2nd hand marketplaces.
The GH6 looks to be released Feb 22nd-26th 2022 coming soon. The GH6 will have 4K 120p which is pretty awesome. That being said, I just bought a new(ish) GH5 on ebay for cheap. I plan to wait to upgrade to the GH6 after maybe 1 year or as long as I can hold the GH5 and then buy the GH6 cheaper on ebay when something else comes out and other ppl get sick of their GH6. The good news is that there are always people that buy cameras and then change their minds or rarely use them so there are some slightly older cameras at massive deals all the time on ebay :)
Great Video, I am a big Pana fan and MFT (got Gh4, 2GH5, GH5s 2 BMPCC4k) making multicam classical music concert production mostly as my side job coming from audio and as a musician. Photo I do mostly newer exept Stils from concert directly in Resolve,autofocus as well not an issue...but I always need 10 bit 422 to match camera's...and Fuji T4 is internal 420 10 bit 265 even in allintra...Wich for me is a downer...prefer 10 bit 422 or 12 bit Braw...nicer look and more flexibility in post imho. Buy at least another camera with 10bit422 internal with DCI...Sony don't have DCI exept the starting from FX6...FX3 is UHD...A think to consider as well...what is a true Cinema camera...DCI should be in...
I really think you should wait to see what the GH6 will bring. After a so long wait, change the system just 1 or 2 months before the launch would be sad. It’s look like we will see the GH6 in February.
I've been in the same boat as you. I love the stills from the Fuji XT4, but somehow the video experience wasn't clicking for me. I went back to having GH5 as my workhorse and the Fuji X-T20 as my casual travel camera. We'll see about GH6, when it arrives. Will it be worth the upgrade? Maybe. Will I upgrade in 2022? As with Ef speed-booster XL, you have a equivalent of a Bigger sensor than APS-C and most S35 sensors.Its close to FF. I have the Sigma kit18-35/50-100 and some fast Canon primes, and lowlight is good. With native lenses you don’t get boost’s. Tested the 42,5 Leica F1.2 snd its sharp but don’t give me the depth and light as my XL booster with fast primes.
@@antiphonylife5044 when filming anything further than 15 feet away, the clarity and sharpness becomes dull. Anything within 15 feet is awesome, but past that it doesn't really focus well at all. Might be due to the viltrox speed booster but I don't know for sure. I've updated the lens / viltrox & tried to calibrate the viltrox & lens too but no significant luck
@@lilzohan7078 I totally get that. I've noticed that same thing in my footage, like "why the hell can I not get a crisp wide?" I've been lazy in re-approaching the infinity focus thing, but have needed to check on that again, but still.. I also have been reconsidering the viltrox + Sigma combo, as I notice it can sometimes milk out the image, depending how strongly the light is coming in position of the lens. And I like to use lens diffusion, which increases the milk out flare effects. I recently noticed that the bokeh in some recent shots looked strange, maybe I haven't really noticed. But just so many things that have me considering going with mft lenses.
My theory on why the gh6 didn't launch yet is because they scrapped the initial design that was set to release in May 2020 and went back to the drawing board. Why? Remember jist before covid started, panasonic announced the upcoming release of the GH6 in the spring. Then covid came and everything halted....everything except for Sony and Canon. They released the A7s3, the R5, and the R6. I think thats qhen Panasonic realized that the GH6 was so much more inferior to what Sony and Canon had released that they started from square one.
Your dates are pretty far off. "Regarding the mirrorless single-lens camera "Lumix GH6", which was developed and announced on May 26, 2021. Most sources close to the matter say it was supply chain issues pure and simple that caused the delays.
I have a GH5 but also have a Japanese version gh4 that doesn't let me change the language. 😡 I bought a Japanese Gh4 without knowing about the language and been stuck with it. I want to sell it and get another Lumix camera but don't know which one. Could you recommend another Lumix camera that isn't too expensive and will look just as good as the Gh5?? 🤔
Would you consider getting a G9 or Olympus for a stills camera and just have two bodies? You'd get to keep all your lenses that way. I think the GH6 is going to have pretty good photo capabilities but let's see. Announcement coming in February it seems.
Why don't you pick up a Lumix G9 ? I have the G9 and takes awesome stills, this way you can use the glass you already have. I don't know why you feel that you have to go to a whole new system. Just my thoughts Ryan :)
I switched to the Sony A7iii from the GH5. I Loved the camera, but I love photography and really missed the photography capabilities. AF I could life with.
I was offered a Panasonic gh5 at my place of work for £480 brand new in the box. I shoot weddings with a Nikon Z6. What do you guys think. Should I get it.
Hey Ryan great Video the gh5 is still a beast in 2022 I’m thinking picking one up because I want to start a bit more professional on wedding videography would you recommend the gh5 or the S5 for that? And which lenses will cover everything for wedding videos what would you recommend? I want a minimalist setup as possible
For a lens I’d go with the Sigma Art 18-35 for a go-to lens for the GH5…you’ll thank yourself later for getting one. That with a simple cage/handle with a hot shoe mount 3.5 mic for internal audio would be about as minimalist as you should get for weddings. Those things and a few more batteries.
So why would I take this over a cannon R6. I don't think many people would. That being said, the R6 can only record for 30 minutes straight and then it shuts off. What about this camera?

The GH5 is a solid camera that easily pays for itself with jobs you get especially now that you can grab them on ebay for cheap. They will probably go down after GH6 comes out too making it an even better deal!
@@ryanjharris So i just bought a Panasonic S5 and shot something in Vlog outside. Then i converted the footage to Rec709 with Color Space Transform and the footage has blueish midtones and purple shadows. I think that doesnt look good because i like more the arri/canon colors with greens and yellows. Then i tried different luts and all over the same problem. But when i correct it with the tint slider, the footage becomes too green and doesnt look natural. On my Sony i had the Phantom Luts from Joel Famularo and these were so beautiful. Why didnt you like the S5? I thought its just similar to a GH5 in fullframe. Coming from a Sony i am just stoked how much better Panasonic is for filmmaking in terms of settings (shutter angle, waveforms, internal luts etc.)
Thanks for the review. Agree with your assessment. However, X-T4 IBiS is not as good as GH5 IBIS. Also Fuji native lenses are not best for video shooting.

Yeah I agree with the size of the GH5 also. Just got back from a ski touring shoot and having a heavier camera setup would have been pretty deadly!
I'm waiting to see if the GH6 has decent AF, since that is essential for me because I mainly do video. If it doesn't, then I'm switching to Sony.
I'll be keeping my GH5. My goal is to best that I can be with the equipment that I have. I'll move on once I've mastered my GH5 and accessories.

I bought an S1 as a B camera / stills camera and it's like going backwards video-wise. I'll be selling it soon for 2 more GH5's

The GH5 new is currently on sale for $1300, typically $1600. In your opinion do you think that's a good deal?

I totally agree. Still killing it with the gh5 I have 2 and still recommend and buy it for our chairity. But honestly need gh6 to step up with photo and autofocus. So let's see. So invested with lenses now...Sony with overheating in long recordings and very expensive to invest in feel a bit stuck

I hear you! I hear EVERYBODY talking about leaving the M43 system because everybody wants Mega B O K E H which I'm am so freaking sick of hearing about or they just want some new toys I'm guessing! ! Also, the little things like autofocus which people make sucjh a big deal about when they are buying these cameras for video anyway and pro shooters pull focus manually anyway! Well WHY did they buy the the Lumix M43 system if they new this? People are getting lazy and think that Sony and Canon can do better but they come with their own issues I guarantee it! I have been using the GH4, GH5, GH5s and the G9 professionally for a few years now and we talk about change too but for ONE reason! EVERYONE is abandoning it because of all the negative hype! Let me say this too these Lumix cameras NEVER disappointed and every customer/client we deliover to are incredibly satisfied wilth the products that we give them from these things! Hell, It all is going to be viewed on mostly small screens anyway so why buy a jackhammer to drive a tack? I think there is still at least 3-4 more years left before the industry considers a change that will force the M43 system out of play! Until then, I'm holding tight! I'm just damn tired of spending money on gear every 6 months! Cameras used to last! Nothing does anymore because of social media!
Just sold my X-T4 for a used Lumix GH5! The main motive was how much I missed the natural behavior of the IBIS in Panasonic cameras (I used the G85 & G95). IBIS in the Fuji was very jerky and with noticeable wobbly distortions (even at a 200mm focal length!)
Why not the sony a7iii, isn't that like one of the best all round semipro/pro camera's around?
I have been debating whether to upgrade my G85 to a GH5. I can't justify it right now because I rarely even use my G85 since it's a secondary camera to my OM-D E-M1 Mark II.
The GH5 has so many useful features for professional videographers (which I am not). Even though I'm perfectly happy with the video quality I get out of my existing cameras, the GH5 offers extra things like an XLR adapter, a headphone jack (unlike my G85), unlimited recording (unlike my E-M1 Mark II), dual UHS-II SD card slots, 4K 60 fps, 1080p 180 fps, and all of the assist tools like waveforms and vectorscopes. And, of course, it can shoot 4K in 10-bit 4:2:2 internally, something my cameras can't even do with an external recorder.

But seriously, I was almost about to pull the trigger on some full frame upgrade. But every camera I looked at had some sort of weird compromise - and would be a downgrade in some areas. I'll wait until a Full frame camera comes out that doesn't compromise anywhere. Until then, GH5 is my baby still
edit: I also looked at the Fuji XT4 as well and it's impressive, but it's just too similar to the GH5 to warrant switching and adopting a whole new lens mount. If someone however wanted to get into cameras and asked me what to get, I might recommend the fuji

Gh5 is my first camera ever i bought it last month. Its second hand but it is amazing there still no camera close to it . You can get a decent offer if u research some 2nd hand marketplaces.
The GH6 looks to be released Feb 22nd-26th 2022 coming soon. The GH6 will have 4K 120p which is pretty awesome. That being said, I just bought a new(ish) GH5 on ebay for cheap. I plan to wait to upgrade to the GH6 after maybe 1 year or as long as I can hold the GH5 and then buy the GH6 cheaper on ebay when something else comes out and other ppl get sick of their GH6.
The good news is that there are always people that buy cameras and then change their minds or rarely use them so there are some slightly older cameras at massive deals all the time on ebay :)
I still use a gh4 and gh5. I'm not too interested in a gh6 unless it has better autofocus. Nice to hear your thoughts.
I've always wondered why you don't use Panasonic lenses? Personally, I’ve been happy with them, though I haven’t tried any other brands.

I am a big Pana fan and MFT (got Gh4, 2GH5, GH5s 2 BMPCC4k) making multicam classical music concert production mostly as my side job coming from audio and as a musician.
Photo I do mostly newer exept Stils from concert directly in Resolve,autofocus as well not an issue...but I always need 10 bit 422 to match camera's...and Fuji T4 is internal 420 10 bit 265 even in allintra...Wich for me is a downer...prefer 10 bit 422 or 12 bit Braw...nicer look and more flexibility in post imho.
Buy at least another camera with 10bit422 internal with DCI...Sony don't have DCI exept the starting from FX6...FX3 is UHD...A think to consider as well...what is a true Cinema camera...DCI should be in...
I really think you should wait to see what the GH6 will bring. After a so long wait, change the system just 1 or 2 months before the launch would be sad. It’s look like we will see the GH6 in February.
For shooting 4k DCI film... would you prefer the GH6 to the GH5?
And the problems that everyone else complains about? noise and autofocus issues?
I've been in the same boat as you. I love the stills from the Fuji XT4, but somehow the video experience wasn't clicking for me. I went back to having GH5 as my workhorse and the Fuji X-T20 as my casual travel camera. We'll see about GH6, when it arrives. Will it be worth the upgrade? Maybe. Will I upgrade in 2022? As with Ef speed-booster XL, you have a equivalent of a Bigger sensor than APS-C and most S35 sensors.Its close to FF. I have the Sigma kit18-35/50-100 and some fast Canon primes, and lowlight is good. With native lenses you don’t get boost’s. Tested the 42,5 Leica F1.2 snd its sharp but don’t give me the depth and light as my XL booster with fast primes.
My sigma 18-35 with the Viltrox is a love hate relationship, slowly becoming more of a hate relationship. Maybe I need a better booster

@@antiphonylife5044 when filming anything further than 15 feet away, the clarity and sharpness becomes dull. Anything within 15 feet is awesome, but past that it doesn't really focus well at all. Might be due to the viltrox speed booster but I don't know for sure. I've updated the lens / viltrox & tried to calibrate the viltrox & lens too but no significant luck
@@lilzohan7078 I totally get that. I've noticed that same thing in my footage, like "why the hell can I not get a crisp wide?" I've been lazy in re-approaching the infinity focus thing, but have needed to check on that again, but still..
I also have been reconsidering the viltrox + Sigma combo, as I notice it can sometimes milk out the image, depending how strongly the light is coming in position of the lens. And I like to use lens diffusion, which increases the milk out flare effects.
I recently noticed that the bokeh in some recent shots looked strange, maybe I haven't really noticed. But just so many things that have me considering going with mft lenses.
My theory on why the gh6 didn't launch yet is because they scrapped the initial design that was set to release in May 2020 and went back to the drawing board. Why? Remember jist before covid started, panasonic announced the upcoming release of the GH6 in the spring. Then covid came and everything halted....everything except for Sony and Canon. They released the A7s3, the R5, and the R6. I think thats qhen Panasonic realized that the GH6 was so much more inferior to what Sony and Canon had released that they started from square one.
Your dates are pretty far off. "Regarding the mirrorless single-lens camera "Lumix GH6", which was developed and announced on May 26, 2021. Most sources close to the matter say it was supply chain issues pure and simple that caused the delays.
Wait for the GH6, coming soon, it'll be worth the wait.....

I have a GH5 but also have a Japanese version gh4 that doesn't let me change the language. 😡 I bought a Japanese Gh4 without knowing about the language and been stuck with it. I want to sell it and get another Lumix camera but don't know which one. Could you recommend another Lumix camera that isn't too expensive and will look just as good as the Gh5?? 🤔

Would you consider getting a G9 or Olympus for a stills camera and just have two bodies? You'd get to keep all your lenses that way. I think the GH6 is going to have pretty good photo capabilities but let's see. Announcement coming in February it seems.
Why don't you pick up a Lumix G9 ? I have the G9 and takes awesome stills, this way you can use the glass you already have. I don't know why you feel that you have to go to a whole new system. Just my thoughts Ryan :)
I switched to the Sony A7iii from the GH5. I Loved the camera, but I love photography and really missed the photography capabilities. AF I could life with.
Totally get that, so still happy with the switch? Anything you miss?

Hey Ryan great Video the gh5 is still a beast in 2022 I’m thinking picking one up because I want to start a bit more professional on wedding videography would you recommend the gh5 or the S5 for that? And which lenses will cover everything for wedding videos what would you recommend? I want a minimalist setup as possible
For a lens I’d go with the Sigma Art 18-35 for a go-to lens for the GH5…you’ll thank yourself later for getting one. That with a simple cage/handle with a hot shoe mount 3.5 mic for internal audio would be about as minimalist as you should get for weddings. Those things and a few more batteries.

So why would I take this over a cannon R6. I don't think many people would. That being said, the R6 can only record for 30 minutes straight and then it shuts off. What about this camera?

@@ryanjharris I was hoping that the autofocus of the Lumix S5 was better.. yes it was but still not good :( The AF of the R5 after the last update is insane! The price also :(
@@ryanjharris with the R5 you will get a much better AF (if you need AF…), IQ and overheating issues…. And you will lose mobility.

The GH5 is a solid camera that easily pays for itself with jobs you get especially now that you can grab them on ebay for cheap. They will probably go down after GH6 comes out too making it an even better deal!
What do you think about the colors Fujifilm vs Panasonic in Video Mode? I just got a S5 and hate the purple tint in the shadows
I haven't shot too much video with the Fuji yet - did you notice a blue tint on the fuji or S5?
I didn't love the S5 for video to be honest.
@@ryanjharris So i just bought a Panasonic S5 and shot something in Vlog outside. Then i converted the footage to Rec709 with Color Space Transform and the footage has blueish midtones and purple shadows. I think that doesnt look good because i like more the arri/canon colors with greens and yellows. Then i tried different luts and all over the same problem. But when i correct it with the tint slider, the footage becomes too green and doesnt look natural. On my Sony i had the Phantom Luts from Joel Famularo and these were so beautiful.
Why didnt you like the S5? I thought its just similar to a GH5 in fullframe. Coming from a Sony i am just stoked how much better Panasonic is for filmmaking in terms of settings (shutter angle, waveforms, internal luts etc.)

Thanks for the review. Agree with your assessment. However, X-T4 IBiS is not as good as GH5 IBIS. Also Fuji native lenses are not best for video shooting.
