How does the DNR Director not have an idea where we are on the Sand Hill Crane issue?Other states have made the time to implement a sand hill crane season, why can't we?
Seems to me with so much of the revenue coming from deer license sales they may want to listen to deer hunters that purchase those licenses? If you have agriculture to hunt over like many downstate the baiting band may have little affect on their success but being from Northern Michigan many people are hunting on small plots of land and baiting allows them to attract deer to their property. Many of my friends and hunters that I have talked to are very discouraged by this ban and may not even hunt this year...which means less license sales and revenue. I would agree with their actions if there was any proof to suggest CWD was spread through baiting. Also we have had zero cases near where I live and hunt so a state wide ban seems excessive. Just my thoughts.
Well that kinda sucks about the doves an sandhill... Should draw a line like rifle zone an only allow people above it to vote on it.. People who spend 99% of their lives in the city down in Birmingham an Rochester ECT shouldn't even have a say.. Just my 2 cents, no doubt in my mind we WILL have a season for em.. Just gotta get the right ppl workin for us.

Didn't sound to me like the young man in charge of the DNR had to many CLEAR answers. Lotsa Double Talk and Side Stepping is all I heard.
