When I was11, I found Allan Parsons project doing Edgar Allan Poe on vinyl in an attic of the house I had just moved to. To me, then, I felt I had found a fucking treasure. I'm glad to see someone keeping his words alive in music. Love hearing it to beautiful metal

Amazing album! If you enjoyed it I suggest checking out the Greek Black Metal genre; unlike Quorthon (Bathory) said "I consider my early work shitty, almost everyone is trying to copy SHIT!". The Greek genre started along with the Norwegian (Mayhem '84) and has (?) had different influences. Maybe this is why Euronymous liked Rotting Christ's first album and wanted them in the Black Circle and to publish the album. I'm rambling🙄 Anyway Rotting Christ's Heretics album is inspired by dark poetry like Poe's from all over the world. Also check out Vanguard and Tristania's earlier work (Tristania - "Beyond the Veil" (The Crow)). Excuse my rambling:(
