At least they could have been killed in battle at the end of season 1. That would have been a better send-off rather than killing them randomly in an accident.

I love the fact that every character in Beast Wars has a huge Fan base. PROOF THAT BEAST WARS IS THE BEST KIDS TV SERIES IN THE 90s. A perfect example of great character development.
Scorponok doesn't get enough credit: he was loyal to megatron, was a good shot and he created a virus that nearly killed optimus primal! He even saved megatron's life in power surge. He was a great character and deserve more praise.
Scorponok was one of my favorites when it came to fighting (his homing missiles were OP) and he was loyal to the end. Pity they killed him off. He'd make a badass transmetal.

They had to remove characters do to CGI limitations, and Inferno kinda was more memorable loyalist. Also, according to Beast Wars Sourcebook they both survived and reemerged after Beast Wars was over.
Scorponok was my fav predacon.. Was very disappointing that he died so pathetically.. He turned transmetal as he was dying which makes it even more disappointing :(. I wanted to see his new form..

Scorponok was awesome. He got beat up a lot like many of the Predicons, but he was cool. Similar to Soundwave in the way he acts towards Megatron and his colours and even a small thing like how he has the visor eyes.
It's weird how his intelligence was not consistent and he would go from being dumb to being smart. He surprisingly could put up a fight with Dinobot as shown in the episode Dark Designs. At 3:19 you can see that he was intentionally missing in order to crush Dinobot with the boulder.
It happened to a lot of the characters in the show. Tarantulas also had fluctuating intellect. In the episode where Rhinox is sick, Tarantulas was pretty stupid for comedic effect.
I kinda wish that he got to interact with inferno and they would both form a bit of a rivalry with each other about who is more loyal to Megatron I don't know why but I feel it would've been really funny with Megatron basically having 2 insanely loyal troops with him
It just me or he was quite competent in first episodes (basically Predacon's mechanic and brute in one with respectable firepower, not bad in sneak attacks and beast mode strong enough to fight with Dinobot one-on-one), but in later episodes, he was reduced to mostly joke character blasted at first opportunity all the time?
Apparently there was supposed to be another Predacon for season 1, but he got cut because of budget. By that point, the cut predacon was too woven into the scripts to be cut out entirely, so his parts were given to Scorponok
@@TurboMMaster I don't have any sources or anything but I heard that originally a predicon named "Insecticon" was supposed to be in the show but got the shaft because it was too late and the show was already airing before they could make a model for him. But insecticon also got a toy in the beast wars toy line so the character at least exists in some beast wars media.
I personally like to think of it like this: Transformers characters who got toys but never appeared in a specific show/film likely have chosen to stay on Cybertron or someplace else in the universe

So either that was an animation error or perhaps Scorponok is a brainwashed Maximal. It would explain why he unlike other Predacons is unnaturally loyal.
Believe it or not, that was intentional. Some hunters and warriors like the mark their bullets with the intended target's name, and they were trying to do that with Scorponok. But a lot of fans weren't aware of this and voiced their confusion, so they were changed to Predacon symbols later on.

No wonder they killed him off!

Actually, the creators said that he was supposed to have Maximal logos on them. It was supposed to mean the same thing as carving your enemy's name into your bullets.
