Keypoint: finding the 169-triple in r5 and the consequenses (especially claiming 2's in b5) after that. It took me almost 25mins to find that. Next time I really need my morning coffee before I try to solve any puzzle.
Yeah I started at this one for a bit before the 169 clicked. Once I saw that, the two fell into place on B6 and it was mostly easy sauce from there. GG
Nice puzzle. I think the break was identifying those 8's in box 8 which sorted out column 4 :) (it still took me 3 times longer than you, but it was fun!)
whenever i get stuck in NYT puzzles it's something like this: missing the hidden 2s in the center block. your videos are very helpful in helping me find what i'm missing. now if i could just train myself to see it on my own
I really like the setting you're using that highlights conflicts in red, since I often forget about it. Will try it out. I really like this software. I checked in to one of the coding streams of the developer and was surprised that it's just pure javascript 🤯
Sudoku is a single player game, do whatever you'd like! My personal recommendation is to avoid using settings that tell you about non-trivial errors. Like if it's comparing against the solution of the puzzle, I feel that this is too much info and can be used too much as a crutch. But if it's just telling you about trivial conflicts like SudokuPad does without referencing the actual solution, then I think it's just a nice convenience.
I use the NYT interface with just the conflict highlighting on. I do find myself having missed conflicts in candidate notes I’ve made and kicking myself for it, buts it’s all part of the fun eh?!

That's where I got stuck today.
Totally got stuck there.
I missed the 169 triple at first. Took a while but after that it was smooth sailing. Thanks!!

Thank you so much! I couldn't see the triple 169 which opened up the whole puzzle!
Thanks from the UK. Massive help
I'm glad it's helpful!

11:35 to solve. Pleased with that time and spotted a quadruple to open up the puzzle. Thanks Rangsk

Yep, Sven is awesome!
9m35s, the break in was surprisingly easy but I still enjoyed the puzzle.
Is using software that highlights errors /.impossible entries a form of cheating?
