Anthony thanks! I’m excited to have him here. Btw I always rooted for you guys when we weren’t in it, even visited Oracle Park to see my mets play the giants, it’s a great stadium, the fans weren’t assholes there and the garlic fries were the best ever! NY💙🧡🖤SF
I hope Panik does great with his roots team! I still think they shoulda given him more time. He’s starting to come around! I’m really curious as to how it REALLY went down. If it really was such a hard decision, then why do it? Joe Cool was the best! I just hope that this turns out to be a bad deal for the Giants. I.e. Panik does great there, and Gennett doesn’t quite do any better than a Panik while he was here. It’d be awesome to see a Giants Mets Wildcard Game!
It sucks that our management got fooled by a hot July. Epic fucking fail . Should have traded bum and Smith and that's not arm chairing. I felt this way for awhile. Time to dump belt, Posey and Crawford now. I'm done with this old core. Thanks for the memories boys but it's time to move on
He's been and will be one of my favourite players of all time, yet I completely understand why this was done. You could see this coming long before the trade deadline. This was the year Joe had to hit like he did a few years ago or they were going to move on. He didn't and now he's gone. Believe me, this was very difficult for Farhan to have to do, but Giants fans have to understand that this team needs to be rebuilt, not retooled and Zaidi knows it! This illusion of being a wild card contender is just that, an illusion as the post trade deadline win/loss record is showing. This is the first of a few painful decisions that will have to be made going forward and I have the utmost respect and belief in Farhan Zaidi to rebuild the Giants organization from the farm system all the way to the big club. It's going to take time so bare with it all for now. As for Joe, I will continue to follow his career no matter what team he ends up on. He's only 28 and I'm sure he will bounce back to be the player he was here for whom ever he ends up with. Thanks for everything Joe. You're a person that carries himself with nothing but class, grace and team first attitude. You will be sorely missed by your manager, teammates and the fans of the Orange & Black!
@@philmontejano5971 Belt's days are numbered too, his contract is so out of whack that they have not been able to move him. I doubt he will return and if he does, it will be for one more year tops until they can get out of his contract.
@@BogWraith1 agreed and I couldn't believe they started Pablo at first. Belt is good defensive player but he's got no fire and looks bored half the time ! I wish the has Votto,Goldy or even Rizzo instead
Damn so much love towards Farhan Zaidi I love Joe Panik but there's gonna be a time when you're not producing well in the batters box or on the field you have to let that person go and find better success else where even of that same person was a big significant to helping the team win a World Series in the past
Zaidi is such a Soy Boy! SF Giants ownership wake up! This soyboy ain't no Ninja Brian Cashman. Why couldn't he at least given Joe Panik a Chase Utley send off? With respect and human dignity. The honorable thing would have been trading him to an actual contender like the Yankees. In exchange for some kind of prospect. This decision will haunt our organization and what comes around comes around. There was a reason why this "thing" was let go from Oakland and the Dodgers. He's nothing and those organization are smart enough to realize that.
I wish him nothing but the best, he played a significant part in our 2014 World Series run. I’ll be rooting for him wherever he lands.
Me too
He's a good dude and wish him the best unless he goes to the Dodgers!
Any ex Giant player who does that deserves nothing from SF
If it wasn’t for joe, who knows what would have happened in 2014
FaltZ Baseball honestly for real
As a Mets fan, THANK YOU San Francisco ! This could work out for us like how Wheeler is working out for us! Super excited !!!
You're getting a solid player. Good luck with the roll that you're on.

Without his contribution in 2014 World Series they don’t win it
WTF! He just reference Chase UTLEY as a Joe Panik comparison...Fk'n WOW. That's his HIGHEST COMPLIMENT?! Fk'n WOOOOOOW.

Ok but Belt is batting in the 230s and still playing.
Pablo should be the Giants first baseman

Hum Baby
I met Him Baby's daughter at a Padres/Giants game at Petco Park.
Nice lady

Be real, I'm a Giants fan like you but just look at their career numbers... Panik is no Utley.
Nobody would give up anywhere near a significant prospect for him. I love panik but he's no chase utley
Agreed, the should have done a better, or job
