My husband died from Stomach cancer at 62 in April 2021, Toby was Diagnosed the fall of 2021, I prayed for a miracle, but knew it's an ugly, aggressive cancer, one of Toby's last interviews he looked like my husband, Grey and so so skinny, I knew he wouldn't last 2 weeks, and his passing has brought up my Husband's cancer. People if you have stomach pain, nausea, acid reflux, heartburn etc more than a couple weeks Get into a Gastroenterology Dr. ASAP! , people ignore it, make excuses why there stomach hurts etc. my husband would not go to the Dr, and it was stage 4 when diagnosed. Just go to the Dr!!!!!!! My heart is broken for his family, I know there pain. And I know what Toby endured the last day. We will spend eternity with Toby and our loved ones, make sure you know Jesus as your savior, time is running out before the Lord returns!
I have been complaining to my drs for years. They just raised my PPIs to 2 a day. Yet I'm severely nauseous all the time. I had lost too much weight. I took my records to another hospital knowing I had gallstones for 19 years but my dr refused me surgery even when they got stuck in my bile ducts. It was just a general surgeon but my stomach looked bad and he said if it wasn't treated it would end up cancer. My dr said probably gastric erosion but I had to fight for sucralfate and she only gave me one prescription for the maintained not the initial treatment. When she became my dr she said I didn't have systemic lupus or diabetes and cut my meds yet I've seen specialists for them for over 2 decades and almost died twice of lupus. Heart attack,stroke, every organ affected. I treated myself with food and vitamins and lost all my specialists with her refusing to rerefer me. I have a rheumatologist and a pain clinic for nerve blocks for the severe arthritis. But they can't prescribe my old heart meds back or order biopsies or gastrocopies on my stomach. Canada, dr shortage I'm stuck with her.
My grandfather died with lupus we didn't know he had it until after he had passed away I had the Raynaud's and yes it is very painful I think we need better doctors out there who will listen to us interest in us they don't give a damn anymore Toby Keith's death was a big shock to the whole world to the person who said Jesus is on his way and it's not far off she is absolutely correct

Gastroenterologist said only thing that works is GERD diet with double dose of Nexium (now OTC) to ward off the erosion that causes cancer. Also, no smoking and doesn't drink alcohol. Sorry your situation isn't allowing a new more appropriate doctor.
Sorry for your loss. My husband was diagnosed with cancer stage 4 nonhodgkins lymphoma. Around same time toby keith was. My husband, thank God, is in remission. But like Toby said, you gotta keep getting scans. I'm sorry for your loss and the loss of our Tk!!

What an Amazing, talented singer/songwriter he was, a genuine, humble good, caring,giving man.Loving husband and father. A True American, one of the few left who wasn't afraid to take a stand for his love of God, family , this Country, as well as our men and women in uniform that have and still fight for the Freedom we still have today! This induction is waay overdue, He earned it ! So sad he couldn't have been here in person to receive it. What an honor!!

I AM FREAKIN' SORRY...but how DISGUSTING it is , that the country music hall of fame waited SOOO LONG to get Toby in there , not to mention , they had PLENTY of warning of his health condition. The definitely dropped the ball and should have given him , his family and fans the pleasure of seeing him accept the award. I'm P'd OFF !!!

He should have already been in the Hall of Fame. But I think Toby really didn't care cause he knew he was a true legend. Toby will live on in his music. Toby was my number one favorite country music singer and songwriter. Loved his movie Broken Bridges.

Wish he had been around to see this honor. I don’t think any one could match his contribution to the troops, his country, and Americans. He wrote and sang the truth, whether it was about patriotism, or having a good time. He truly had his hand on the heart of the average working American. I’m so sad he is gone. We lost one of the greats when he passed.
