They became so popular in my country (Estonia) this summer and basically every teen has it. I just bought my first kendama (Krom viking) 2 days ago and it's really fun to play with.
I first watched this 6 years ago and this is what sparked my love for Kendama. I just thought I’d revisit it for nostalgia and this still makes me want to pick up a Kendama to this day. Much ❤️
Brother lemme tell you same here same exact purpose I’m here nostalgic seeing this video again this one the fingerboarding video and the Rubiks cube video are just 💯my god it’s crazy
I like to come back to this video every now and then. It was the video that really pushed me to get better at kendama. Now, 5 and a half years after starting, I'm sponsored by a kendama company and spreading the love wherever I can go. Thank you, Kuma Films and Zoomadanke! P.S. New kendama video soon please!
These guys are amazing. What really gets me is the people who just pass by and don't even look like "whatever, totally normal day here." I would be gawking instantly if I came across someone with talent like this in the middle of the walk.
For all the dama nerds wanting to know what setup that is: it’s the Mugen musou made specially for Zoomdanke. It has ruby red paint and is a tad bigger than a normal Mugen
When I was into Kendamas I remember watching this. I got better and today, hey, I'm pretty good! I don't play with them as much now, but it was a trend in my school and state. It was one of the better fun trends experiencing growing up, and it's one I'll remember.
this actually looks much easier than any other juggling things I've seen..... in one all the guy does is throw th string around and then catch the ball on the stick........
The Shoobster try bringing back the trend in you’re school if you still have one start using it and everyone would want to use it then they will buy one and then the trend will slowly grow
I first saw this video when i was 12 , i did anything to get a kendama. My brother bought me one and i couldn’t have been more thankfull . I did all kinds of tricks and stuff , brought it to school and i influenced my friends to buy one too . Now it sits on my desk to remember all the memories. I watch this video once in a while just to let the nostalgia kick
Ok, this whole video is fucking insane and amazing but I just can't wrap my head around the amount of skill it would have taken to pull off what the guy did at 2:10 ... just. Insane.
cup in ball is so different than kendama... kendama is much more precise and way harder to get amazing at... especially if you want to go string less and dance and move around like these guys
this video... classic. The sport has evolved SOOOO much since this came out. I remember this was pretty much it for insane dama vids on youtube. Still impressive today, but compared to what's going on now.... OMG (kendamas themselves have also evolved A LOT, which allows for much crazier tricks than was possible at this time)
ive never even heard of a kendama before, the name made me click this video and this turns out to be one of the coolest things ive ever seen. I actually wanna learn the stuff they do in this video and learn more about kendama as a whole cause of this video. great stuff
So I was currently on my phone scrolling, and out of nowhere I remembered these toys. Back when I was in middle school these toys came out and I saw it on the internet, it sparked my interest. I some day brought it to school and thought I was really cool haha.
One suggestion if you can do this i think you may have done this already but. Shoot in 4k wide angle. then track the ball and move a 1080p window around with the ball centered i think you did the same with bridge scene but im not sure since your camera skills are awesome.
While I do enjoy something beautiful shot in 4k. Its definitely not worth tracking or paying for the camera at this point in time. Especially if you consider how most people will be viewing this. You could also shoot it in 60fps, but again, really dont think it would make the video much better. Video quality was beautiful in my opinion.
You guys found the... weirdest Kendama players I've ever seen. I expected something like traditional KendamaUSA trick vids, but these guys are mad! Plus, never saw someone duel wield Kens before.
I just randomly found the old kendama that my brothers and I used to play with. None of us were any good, we just casually messed around with it. Honestly didn't know there were pros for this. But I guess there are pro yoyo players.
I did an internship at the Boys and Girls Club of America during college and kendama's were all the rage. I eventually got one so I could learn tricks with the kids. I had enough trouble learning a basic spike and the hardest trick I pulled off was an "around the world" one time. These guys are ridiculous!
I just saw these 2 guys yesterday inTaman Anggrek Mall, Jakarta. Their performance was so amazing, and they still look younger than this video 4 yrs ago.
It’s crazy for me to watch this 7 years later I was a kid who legit at the time of watching the video I wanted to become pro ha I always wanted to but I was never good enough compared to these absolute masters man I wish I would’ve kept it goin it’s crazy I hope everyone is doing good n there own thing much love my people
nice man you gotta love the tributes but if you're looking for sticky kendamas you should look at sweets kendamas they produce some of they best kendamas in the game for sure
I've always been fascinated by kendama so I finally bought one yesterday. It looked so easy on TV but damn it's so hard and then I found this video. These guys are amazing! What they can do with kendamas are just insane. Wow.
Keep grinding? Probably the whole East-Asia is based around that mentality, be it working in corporation in Japan or playing RPG's in Korea :) It's not a healthy way of life ;)
Eugene Chao yes there is a pointy stick at the top and a hole on the ball but the other 3 sides are cups there's a big cup, small cup and I forgot what the bottom cup's name was
Cool dancing moves! You sure take the Kung-fu, music & dancing to the next level! Mixing it together seem awesome cool to watch. :) Keep it up! I'm Hawaiian, we have connection from Japanese, Chinese, Korean. I love dancing & music! I shared this video on somebody birthday today! ;)
It’s Feb 2023 I watch No Jumper often enough but never saw anyone playing with it. I was just listening to an old Aaron Carter on No Jumper with Adam 22. They mentioned it and here I am. Fashionably late or on cot depending who I’m talking to. However, better late than pregnant. This was AWESOME!
Not jealous, those are people that have a clue about kendama, and know that theese aren't really impressing tricks, except for the bb and spinning ken on another ken, there are lot of guys that are way much better on kendama and can do truly difficult and impressive lines, like Dwesty, Gallagher twins, Cooper Eddy, Alex Mitchell, of course there are more, but theese are my favorites.
lowkey kinda sad kendama died down... I stopped for a long time but now I'm playing with them again! Who else playing still?
Well I'm trying to find mine in my garage
Join up with the community on Downspike and on FKC! Still a lot of slayers keeping the game alive.
They just came popular in estonia
Picked up my first few today. Should be coming in the mail in the next few days :)

Same here, now I have an Alex Smith!
is it just me or are some of those kendama not on strings
Takumi-sama XP it's just you
Nope some are indeed stringless. They do that to increase the amount of tricks u can do
yes, apparently some people are just too good they can play kendama stringless
none are
+SeventySeven Too good lmaoooooo what?!?! They couldn't do any of this with a string. (It's pretty simple either way)
This brings back memories. Good ones

I dont know what is more awesome, the talented people you show, or the talent that you have to find talented people
lol
Agreed!
Both. :3
also the filming talent😂
How are people just walking past without even looking? I'd be standing there with my jaw on the floor
lol Our jaws were on the floor when we were filming.
Maybe because it is normal in japan
