okay so first (i already heard this song)
CATACLYSM IS SO MUCH BETTER THAN THIS AND EASILY THE BEST OF BOTH ARTISTS PLEASE LISTEN TO IT ITS ONE OF THE MOST EPIC SONGS IVE EVER HEARD
so yeah, this was kind of a disappointment but nothing bad at all
vocals are kind of cool. but honestly i'm getting kind of bored of melodic dubstep like this
the problem is that it all sounds so similar. like cataclysm had an insane melody and used the lead to create a feel unmatched by pretty much every other melodic dubstep song. this definitely is also a good song, but it's not memorable is the problem.
abandoned's open, atmospheric, airy, powerful melodic dubstep style is also really good, i love the open style but it's so rare in melodic dubstep these days
other melodic dubstep songs i like are arkasia - angel & arkasia - pandemonium (even with bad production, the grand-ness of these two also are insane, and the vocals / vocal chops are so emotional and used so well)
also she was silver - cataclysm (i take back what i said about au5's cataclysm. it's awesome how two of the best melodub songs are both called Cataclysm. rock elements make this a journey to listen to, along with the one powerful drop and atmospheric buildup).
nullboy - unfold (just insane unique)
illenium - without you (ryan exley remix) (beautiful lead, vocals, everything else about it and those bell sounds i love)
all of them are memorable, and while this and a lot of the other melodub songs the community loves are great, i just forget them. they all sound so similar in my opinion, and theres nothing too special about this.
au5 production here is cool, but still the little sounds in the breaks and stuff don't make me remember it. this does not sound like the open, atmospheric style abandoned uses (the one that makes me almost always love melodub) the vocals, while great, sound like so many other melodub song
tldr melodub is good but it all sounds the same, read the whole thing
ANYWAYS good but boring 9/10
