Everyone seems to forget how surprised people were he was even included in the wider squad. Now he's absolutely nailed on to get game time off the bench and pushing for a starting spot. Really great selection by SB and super excited to watch his development.
Such a likeable guy and he's going to be a future starting 15 for England for many many years. Imagine him in his prime years in another 3 years or so... monster.
He’s going to be world class if England do not rush his development. Look at Ben Earl under Eddie Jones, complete train wreck and now, undisputed best player in our team. Very excited to see him in the summer !
We have so much depth there, it almost hurts to think of the players that could lose out... there are the folks you mentioned, plus Underhill, Pearson, Mercer, Curry, Chessum, Pepper... the list keeps growing.
RugbyPod programmers, it would be great to see some profiles of the other England under 20s players who are coming into the Prem and here what they have to say about getting game time. The contribution that C C-S and I F-W have na=made this years obvious ... but they were (maybe?) higher profile players un their U20 year. What happened to Olive Chessum's bigger brother? hopefully they don't all f-o across La Manche to France. The RFU should be focused on development contracts with Prem teams for the stand-out talents from the recent U20 graduates.
I think he’s the answer for 6 long term. Earl is undroppable at the minute after his 6 nations. But Tom curry will be back fit soon, still only 25. Underhill looking back to his best after some injuries, Mercer deserves some game time at 8. I like Hill for bath as well….could go on about another 6 players not mentioned. Great for us to have so many good backrows, exciting times
Exciting indeed, can't think of another country (maybe SA) that have so many insane back-rowers. I forget that Curry is so damn young, feels like he's been around for so long. Underhill is definitely back to his best and boy I love seeing him hit for 80 minutes. At the moment I think our best back row is CCS, Underhill, Earl... but who knows how that could look in a year or so.
Now, here is a thought. Why doesn't rugby (in this case the Prem clubs or RFU) introduce a player pathway as in the NFL? It would be an opportunity for late starters to the game or for some who never had an opportunity to play the game earlier.
He's big but I don't think he has raw aggression. He doesn't play to his size. Instead of a "monster" I think he would be better suited to play like a Charles Olivon roamer, he seems to have pace, hands and work rate, he's not a destructive player.

15? The guy plays back row
@@MickeyC420 looks like the other 33 people worked it out, i don't mean shirt number. I mean one of the 15 players?
@@hithere3035we got you. But him playing 15 would be pretty funny.
Seems like such a sound bloke! Can't wait to see what the future holds for English Rugby 🏉
What a nice young bloke, excited to see what the future holds for him in an england shirt 🌹
Aussie here but great to see him get a start. Seems a well grounded bloke. Great future for England rugby
What a talent. Sat across from him at the Sarries-Quins game, and however big you think his frame is, I can tell you he’s *bigger*
Made a huge impact off the bench in the Six Nations. England back row is now seriously competitive
Great that he views Savea as the man to measure himself against.
Top bloke. Look forward to watching him play some more…
Seems a great fellow and wish him the best for his future career. Great prospect.
Super talent
It would be really interesting to see him in the Kieran Reid role on the wing. Nice lad.
Good player, his top is great also!!!👍👌✌️
Awesome player hope he grows better
Just talked about back row in England camp and didn’t mention the Sale brothers. That’s how competitive it is
12:35 Marler undoing the laces 😂😂
Lovely bloke, thank god he chose England.
Top lad ,great kiwi grounding
Absolute Gent

How well does he come across genuinely scored about his sport and a decent bloke
He needs an agent
Love to see Earl, Cunningham South, and Alfie Barbeary as England's back row.

@joeboonmusic4004 your rightvwe have an embarrassment of riches. Plus, Henry Pollock, who was outstanding in the U20 6 nations this year.
England Back row 6 Cunningham South, 7 Earl, 8 Mercer.
Would be awesome. No idea why Mercer is not in the squad even
6. Cunningham South
7. Curry
8. Earl
Bench - Barbeary
Good minus mercer. Curry or Underhill have to be in there. Maybe Barbearry
Would love to see Barbearry in there at 8
@@user-nl2kt9jc9p Perfect back row. Move Chessum back to second row in place of Maro and our pack looks formidable.
Another great saviour of the rose rugby. They come and they go these people and nothing ever changes.
What are you talking about Saffer.
@@neilcarpenter2669Hush ros bif.
English fans will be screaming for him to be dropped within a year
Just like Saffa fans never change.

Check out EP31 with England U20's Captain and Leicester Tigers' Finn Carnduff
Seems like a good chap to have on your side, a monster on the pitch. Please be a number 8 and let Earl go to 7
Its insane that Genge can bench 1.5 Cunningham-South’s
I think he could have as much impact as Tuilagi had on our attack.. if they leave him out the line out and use him in phase play as a wide out carrier

Best modern back row player would be a Pieter Steph du Toit or Kwagga Smith, Ardie Savea style.

Martin is England's monster, tbh. He just obliterates everything he sees! CCS is very young, too. He can learn to use that size more.
He can't be allowed to play with these beads in his hair. What happens if one of the beads hits someone in the eye?
🤡
🍻
This guy gives me Duane Vermeulen vibes.
I dont follow english rugby, thought there 15 that played S.A.in semi final was world class.
Your true test will come against the Springboks, if he can handle that kind of physicality then he's good to go 👍
😂😂🤡
