    Have you considered picking up a plastic tablecloth protector, or would the shininess from the plastic show up badly on camera? I'm glad you're doing better!

      I've tried a few different ones in the past, but the angle of the window reflects the light almost directly into the lens. It's a price to pay with this setup! But I'm looking into getting a new surface!

    Did you find the texture of the bread in the soup appealing? I've dipped lots of bread in soup but I've never simmered bread in liquid, and I'm sort of struggling to keep an open mind about it. In any chase, thanks for sharing the recipe! As interesting as always.

      The bread I used was some homemade sourdough, which may have affected things. The simmered bread chunks broke down into a sauce (for lack of a better description) which complimented the vegetables nicely!
