Thank you my friend for the nice detail video . Already watched your fbr video ang I can’t wait to use it . Hope to land my first salmon on the boat soon .
Great work! Whenever someone complains that salmon is too expensive, they don't appreciate how much work it is to get them. Boat, fuel, bait, time, skill...it don't come easy.
I like to use my 15lb in waters that I will be putting my down riggers at 80' or deeper. If I am running shallower than 80' on the wire, than I will put on my 10lb weights.
@@reece4731 Hey Reece, I just wanted to give you heads up, I was out there today, and the fishing was slow, but I did hook two large pigs unfortunately they both got off. I caught them both on the chartreuse F.B.R. With Anchovy between Bird rock, and Elephant rock in 65' of water, 40' on the wire. One came at 7:30am the other came at 1:50pm. Good luck buddy!!! I will probably be back out on Monday.
I was out as well I actually saw you around 7:30 or 8:00 if it was the less boats I would’ve yelled and said hi but we were trying to dodge all the boats while trolling through them but we only hooked one in about 200 feet of water away from all the boats at Bird rock area we noticed that the more south we went the more jelly fish there were but we caught a 9 pounder 80 feet down 200 feet of water on a straight cable baiter no flasher
First time I see 2 hooks FBR, how did you rig the anchovie? Is the trailling hook attaches to the tail of the anchovie or the front hook? I am really interested to learn how you rig it. Thank you for sharing.
Hey Kevin, on my next video I will be showing how I rig my FBR's, but in short the trailing hook is hard tied to the front hook, and I keep them close about a 1/4" apart, and you want that trailing hook to dangle just past the tail. I hope this helps!!
