Yay!!! Getting a flute for Christmas!!! My grandma let me choose one on eBay AND IT'S COMING IN AN ESTIMATED SIX DAYS!!! My friends taught me some fingerings already and I'm saving money to buy a book of songs. The same one my friends have, because I can't play in band without the same one. Then again I can't play flute in band because I play clarinet in band already. But my band teacher could teach me things on the flute too because she plays like, all the instruments. She can play flute, french horn, trumpet and trombone and possibly more. Flute was my first choice but I gave up because like, the first few times I blew on a mouthpiece I never got it. That was a mistake. Now I can do it. I believe I got a good start anyway, knowing a few note fingerings and how to blow on the head joint before I even get an actual flute. I don't know which of my friends were more help though. Halle, who let me try to blow on the head joint a little bit, or Willa who showed me some fingerings. I don't know but sorry for the long comment and I want to be like you Melissa :)

I agree she is awesome! You will learn soon enough I have only been playing the flute for a year and I am already playing Mozart songs! If u keep practicing you can play like her real fast! I've FINALLY mastered playing this song on flute! :D I plan on doing a channel like this, but with music videos, like Taylor Davis and Lindsey Stirling, just on flute. I think I have the potential to do it, and sound good! I made it to the highest level band in my school, 2nd chair! I'll probably take lessons, to work on my ombishure (or however they spell it), so I can get a less airy tone. :) Wish me luck!

Flutes are the minority group of the band. They don't fit a brass, reeds, or percussion label, but that's why I like them..
