Hey, wanted to thank you since my piano was having issues and I wasn’t sure if they were reparable. After seeing some of your videos I got in contact with a piano tuner and now my piano, which is 50 years old, is playing so much better!
@@tirididjdjwieidiw1138 it’s beautiful, being overrated doesn’t change that. Not saying that being overrated isn’t a bad thing, just saying that an overrated song doesn’t make it any less beautiful.
OMGGGG... 🥺🥺🥺 My heart jumped and I started tearing up upon hearing Yiruma's River Flows in You. It's a piece that holds such a significant place in my heart. Thank you. Thank you for the gift of your content. ❤
@@carryfreak5059 It sounds nice and nostalgic. You are just dense and cannot hear the art within the sound. It's supposed to be tuned when you're playing/practicing a piece for a show or something of the sort, but sometimes the untuned piano sounds eerily beautiful.
You've done a beautiful job. One of my favorite piano songs- which I am currently learning- is the main theme of '' Howl's Moving Castle''. It really is a beautiful song!
If my tuner started writing all over my piano It would be the last time he was called in. I have a log book for thar. Plus my piano is tuned every 4 months.
I love that Piano is like a labyrinth of playground for small stuffs, it could be a new version of Toy Story movie if only Pixar/Disney still have the creativity they used to had 😅
I really like the before and afters, especially when the before tuned piano still sounds pretty good, at least to me. Like, a beautiful artifact that's dusty, but you can still see the beauty in it.
This will probably sound weird, but there's something strangly beautiful about a piano that needs to be tuned. It sounds almost human, as if it continues to thrive despite being perfect.
It's always a lot of fun listening to somebody playing untune piano to me, My great grandfather who lived up on a mountain had a piano that he liked bang on and I don't know if he even knew any real songs on it but he loved playing it and it had not been tuned since he put it in there before my mother was born So at that point over 30 years.
It's very satisfying to hear you make things beautiful again. Wouldn't it be a wonder if you could tune the entire world the same way? Maybe you are one piano at a time?
I love the tuner’s signatures! It’s like a mini service history and a glimpse into the past. The oldest tuning signature I could see on this piano was from 1948! 😊
That piano went from honkytonk fun to orchestral beauty! I love seeing work like this! I doubt it could be fixed but my step-grandpa has a 100 year old piano thats out of tune and has even dropped its total pitch by 3 semitones, I know it probably couldn't be fixed and its probably BEYOND repair but I can only stare and think of what that piano was like in its hayday.
I am tuning my piano myself right now...I do not think a before and after tuning of my old black and white box would be appreciated much. Yours are mucho better!!!
Ok I didn't expect a fucking piano tuning video to be what reminded me of my ex from 6 years ago. The song he played at the end was one of my ex' favourite songs
i couldn’t help but notice that, after the tuning was complete, not only were the pitches of the notes back to where they should be but the timbre of the instrument was improved as well
Although the piano sounds so much better after it has been tuned, the ‘sound’ before still has something to it that makes it sound nice as well. But nice short video again! 👍
I think the most satisfying things about your videos is the before and after with the tuning, always sounds so beautiful
Finally said!
Well said
Your a good worker

I think it’s the coolest thing that after the piano is tuned, not just the pitch of the notes changes, but the entire sound!
what changes is the harmony. (we are used to the way it should sound, so it bothers us when it doesn't)
Yeah from harsh, and graspy to smooth, and silky, and on key🎹🎶
not really, the pitches just align
Yeah because 1 key had 3 or 2 strings
@@Narinjasalso the timbre of the instrument changes, overall less harsh
Something about the before just sounds really warm and soft to me. Like a memory of a grandparent before they passed

@@print_helloworld1fax, like I know in some instances it can sound cool. But these people be acting like an untuned piano is better than a tuned one.
Yeah it sounds muddled like you're hearing it fromma distance or another way of thinking of distance is distance in time so a memory
@@Deviousahhz No, they be acting like this specific untuned piano is making a sound they can reminisce with.
The reverb on untuned pianos is gold.
what cause this reverb? always wanted to know
@@gigiovanna This is my opinion, it sounds like it's more of a chorus than a reverb, that's why it sounds "spacious" or "huge".
@@gigiovanna there is no reverb. it's more like old pianos having bad dampers and so the notes just don't mute quickly

Theres something about old untuned piano music that just feels right to me. I just love the distortion in the sound.

Ok I'm glad I'm not the only one that likes the unturned sound.
I feel like the untuned one sounds like it played on the 2000s, but yeah I think both sounds very good but from different perspectives

Yes!!
Ah, another fellow Ghibli fan I see?
Yes!!! 🎉
something about the untuned piano sound is so beautiful, i cant really describe it
It is not beautiful. A piano is designed to be tuned at A - 440. Anything else is unacceptable
@@carryfreak5059 It sounds nice and nostalgic. You are just dense and cannot hear the art within the sound. It's supposed to be tuned when you're playing/practicing a piece for a show or something of the sort, but sometimes the untuned piano sounds eerily beautiful.
Is it just me or an untuned piano sounds way more cooler than a tuned one
Yeah I think so too haha
I may be weird, but yeah. I heavily enjoy it
Yeah, the untuned piano retained just enough of its basic tonality, and then had the weird dissonance on top of it, making it sound pretty funky.
Yeah it just gives a very nice feeljng
It sounds old timey
I’m really enjoying all of this before and after tuning! Sound so incredible after! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
It would be nice to hear One Summer's day from Spirited Away, also love the videos. I learn so much watching these 🤗

You should play Bachs' "The Well Tempered Clavier book 1" I loved that one!!
The fact that you are so young and already doing so much in an uncommon career is so cool!
You mentioned that you weren’t sure how the thumbtack got there… well if the customer has kids or grandkids, mystery solved!

You should def learn “the merry go round of life” if you haven’t already 👍👍
Nothing plays like a Story & Clark. It has the smoothest feel of any piano.
You should learn a thousand miles next!!❤
Wow, after the tuning it sounds so good!!
OG's remember that comment that said "The notes Flowed Like A River!"
I like how it has that jarring tone in the before, then it's beautiful afterwards
you should totally learn the piece Feux Follets by Liszt! Great beginner/intermediate piece that could easily show off your before and afters!
this song will NEVER be overplayed tbh. it's been so many years since I first heard it, and it still elicits this strong emotional reaction from me
